Chen Haoxuan smiled and replied, “I dressed like this because I don’t want anyone to recognize me. I have business at Dan Mountain and can’t take you with me. My glasses were bought at a two-yuan store; isn’t my answer satisfactory enough for you, little princess?”
Chen Xiumin nodded happily and said, “Very satisfactory!”
Chen Haoxuan patted Chen Xiumin’s head. He really liked this cute little girl, but don’t get the wrong idea—his affection was purely brotherly because he always regarded Chen Xiumin as his little sister.
What Chen Haoxuan didn’t know was that ever since Chen Xiumin confessed her feelings for him last time and was rejected, she hadn’t given up. She had been silently loving him all along. She believed that the reason Chen Haoxuan rejected her was that she was too young, so she thought that once she grew up, got taller, and developed more curves, he would definitely like her.
Fortunately, she didn’t share her thoughts with Chen Haoxuan; otherwise, he wouldn’t know how to handle such an unexpected situation.
Chen Xiumin got off at the middle school in Pingyuan County while Chen Haoxuan continued on the bus into the city and then transferred to another bus heading to Dan Mountain. Upon arriving at Dan Mountain, he went straight to the largest Travel Agency there. Perhaps because he was dressed too plainly, no one came to assist him as he entered the Travel Agency.
At that moment, a foreign couple walked in from outside, and immediately several tour guides rushed over to greet them. Meanwhile, no one paid any attention to Chen Haoxuan; it could be said that the staff at the Travel Agency completely ignored his presence.

Xu Muqing had just returned from leading a tour. When she entered the Travel Agency, she noticed the lonely Chen Haoxuan. Chen Haoxuan was actually there to find the Boss of the Travel Agency, but seeing that no tour guide had acknowledged him until now, he was curious to see if this guide was like the others who looked down on people. He replied, "Yes, I want to visit Chen Family Village. Is it expensive?"
"Oh, you're going to Chen Family Village! The scenery there is beautiful, but since it hasn't been developed yet, very few tourists know about it, so not many people go there. If you want to go, I can be your guide, but it will be a bit pricey since it's just you," Xu Muqing said politely.
Suddenly, Chen Haoxuan felt that the person in front of him looked familiar. After thinking for a moment, he realized that this was Xu Muqing, who had previously taken tourists to Chen Family Village. At that time, she had mistaken him and Chen Xiumin for a couple! Inside the Travel Agency was a large lounge filled with sofas for guides and tourists to rest. Several female guides sitting nearby heard Chen Haoxuan's words and laughed. One of them directly said, "You think fifty yuan is enough to hire a guide? That's hilarious! Hahaha..."
"Yeah! My high heels cost hundreds! Fifty yuan can't buy anything. I suggest you just take the bus to Chen Family Village and explore on your own."
Xu Muqing turned to her colleague and said, "Li Xiaoling, how can you say that? Regardless of whether he has money or not, he is still our guest!"
Li Xiaoling showed no respect for Xu Muqing and scoffed, "Is he really our guest? Fifty yuan? You can't even hire one guide for that! For a group of tourists, each person needs several hundred yuan for a guide. Do you think fifty yuan qualifies him as our guest?"
Xu Muqing turned away from Li Xiaoling and focused on Chen Haoxuan. "Fifty yuan won't get you a guide. How about this: when I finish work at noon, I'll take you to Chen Family Village for just fifty yuan as my guiding fee. What do you think?"
Chen Haoxuan continued to pretend to be stingy and stammered, "I only have fifty yuan; can you make it cheaper? How about forty yuan? I need ten yuan left for my bus fare home."

"Xiaoling, you guessed it right! You’re amazing," laughed a female tour guide sitting next to Li Xiaoling.
"You... you guys! I'm going to report you to the boss!" Xu Muqing was quite angry.
