Xu Muqing heard Chen Haoxuan's words and quickly waved her hand, feeling embarrassed as she said, "No, no, no, that's not what I meant. I'm just curious why you came to the Travel Agency and why you need a guide to Chen Family Village."
Chen Haoxuan chuckled and replied, "It's a secret; you'll find out soon." After saying this, he turned to Li Qianfu and asked, "Xiao Li, are you really going to let me sit here and talk business with you?"
Upon hearing Chen Haoxuan's words, Li Qianfu suddenly became anxious. He had been keeping Chen Haoxuan in the lobby of the Travel Agency. It was important to note that Chen Haoxuan was a significant figure with companies all over the world, each much larger than his own. Such a person should not be neglected, yet he had indeed neglected Chen Haoxuan. Worried that Chen Haoxuan might be upset, Li Qianfu quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I truly apologize for making Boss Chen wait in the lobby. Please don't hold it against me."
Chen Haoxuan waved his hand dismissively and said, "Let's find a quiet place to discuss business."
Li Qianfu gestured for him to follow and respectfully said, "Boss Chen, this way please."
After Chen Haoxuan followed Li Qianfu away, the lobby of the Travel Agency became chaotic as the staff began chattering about Chen Haoxuan.
"Wow, I can't believe that poorly dressed guy is Chen Haoxuan. If I had known, I would have treated him better. What a shame; otherwise, I could have been the team leader. Is that really Chen Haoxuan? Didn't they say he was a stunningly handsome man? I don't see it. Xu Muqing, congratulations! You've earned Boss Chen's recognition. It's like a sparrow flying up to become a phoenix. Who knows, maybe you'll catch Boss Chen's eye and become Mrs. Chen; then you'd be set for life..." The employees continued their chatter in the lobby.
Half an hour later, Chen Haoxuan walked out of Li Qianfu's office with Li Qianfu following closely behind him like an assistant. Chen Haoxuan approached Xu Muqing with a smile and said, "Miss Guide, I've just asked your boss for leave on your behalf. Are you ready to take me to Chen Family Village today?"
"Ah..." Xu Muqing exclaimed in surprise, looking at Li Qianfu with questioning eyes as if asking, "Is this for real?"
Li Qianfu kindly told Xu Muqing, "Xiao Qing, just take Boss Chen to Chen Family Village! All expenses will be reimbursed by me. If Boss Chen wants you to stay with him longer in Chen Family Village, just do it; I won't deduct your salary."
"Okay, got it," Xu Muqing nodded in response.
Li Qianfu escorted Chen Haoxuan to the entrance of the Travel Agency. He initially wanted to take Chen Haoxuan directly to Chen Family Village but was politely declined by him.
Xu Muqing had a women's motorcycle, which meant Chen Haoxuan no longer had to take the free bus. Chen Haoxuan rode Xu Muqing's motorcycle, taking her to Chen Family Village. On the way, Xu Muqing couldn't help but ask Chen Haoxuan, "Boss Chen, what exactly do you want me to do in Chen Family Village?" She initially wanted to call him by his name as before, but considering his current status, she hesitated and decided to follow Li Qianfu's lead in addressing him as Boss Chen.
"Just call me Haoxuan! I want to take you to Chen Family Village so you can familiarize yourself with it. Then, I need you to capture all the beautiful scenery with your camera and come up with a story for each scene. Also, figure out how long it would take to explore the entire village; that will be your task. If you do well on this mission, your boss promises a big reward for you. I think it will be at least a few thousand." Chen Haoxuan said while driving.
Xu Muqing felt touched by how good Chen Haoxuan was to her. Without him, she wouldn't have been able to become a tour guide leader. Now he was giving her an opportunity to prove herself again. If they weren't in the car and if Chen Haoxuan didn't hold such a powerful position, she would have offered him a kiss.
Upon arriving at Chen Family Village, Chen Haoxuan went directly to his villa and changed into a different outfit before heading out with Xu Muqing. There were quite a few tourists in Chen Family Village, but they were mostly villagers from nearby areas who came to see the temple that Chen Haoxuan had built. Although there weren't many people, it still drew attention.
Seeing the changes in Chen Family Village, Xu Muqing couldn't help but exclaim, "I've heard that all the villagers transformed Chen Family Village into a paradise under your leadership. I didn't expect it to be completed in just six months and so perfectly."
"Wherever I am, miracles happen," Chen Haoxuan replied proudly. He wasn't boasting; as someone from Future Century, it would be embarrassing not to create some miracles.
"You really aren't humble at all," Xu Muqing laughed, feeling that Chen Haoxuan was easygoing and just as approachable as he had been years ago.
"I'm just speaking the truth! Don't you think so?" Chen Haoxuan chuckled.
"Alright! I'll admit you're right," Xu Muqing said with a smile.
Chen Haoxuan took Xu Muqing to the temple he had built. At the entrance of the temple, he told her, "This temple is called Chen Family Temple. It was constructed by me and the villagers over six months. The unique feature of this temple is that it's entirely carved from a mountain. The largest Buddha statue inside is several stories tall. If you walk into this temple, you'll feel as small as an ant..."
Xu Muqing was awestruck by the magnificent structure; it was her first time seeing such a large temple. What shocked her even more was that it wasn't built but carved out of rock. She thought to herself that this single temple could attract countless tourists.
"Incredible," Xu Muqing marveled.
Xu Muqing is now the head of the tour guides, and Chen Haoxuan shares so much information with her to attract more tourists to Chen Family Village. He continues to tell Xu Muqing, "The stones you see here were all sourced from the temple. Each one weighs around a hundred pounds, and some even weigh several hundred pounds. While this project may not compare to the scale of the Great Wall built by Emperor Qin, it's not far off."
Xu Muqing chuckles and replies, "You really have no shame, comparing a temple to one of the greatest structures in the world."
Chen Haoxuan waves at Xu Muqing and says, "Come on, let me take you inside. Once you step in, you'll realize that the Great Wall is actually quite small; my temple is truly massive."
As Xu Muqing enters Chen Family Temple, she is once again astonished. Just as Chen Haoxuan said, inside the temple, she feels incredibly small.
