"You say you're my brother, but my household registration doesn't have your name or your parents' names. You're not part of my family, so how can you claim I'm your brother? Let's leave it at this time. If there's a next time, I'll have the police arrest you. Now get lost!" Chen Haoxuan coldly replied to Chen Haorong. He didn't care about the claims of filial piety or his wife having Heart Disease.
Chen Haorong's wife, Fang Zhiyu, was someone Chen Haoxuan had seen through a telescope on the roof of his villa today. She didn't look like someone suffering from Heart Disease at all. Chen Haorong's body trembled—not from illness but from anger directed at Chen Haoxuan. He pointed at him and cursed, "Chen Haoxuan, don’t think that just because you’re wealthy now you can treat me like this. I tell you, one day you'll fall into my hands, and then I will make your life miserable." With that, he turned and stormed out.
Li Ping angrily shouted at the retreating figure of Chen Haorong, "How can you be so rude? You never thought about how you treated Xuan before. Now that you're in trouble, you expect Xuan to help? Is there such a good deal in this world? Don't come to my house again; I won't welcome you!"
After Chen Haorong left, Chen Haoxuan said to Li Ping, "Aunt Ping, don't deal with him anymore and definitely don't let him into our home. If he gets angry, he might do anything. Also, when he approached you about joining Chen Agricultural Company this time, you shouldn't have wasted so many words with him. Just tell him to go find the villagers directly; if he refuses, ignore him because you're not obligated to persuade him—he's not related to you."
Li Ping nodded seriously and replied, "I understand. I won't talk to him again." She truly didn't dare provoke Chen Haorong because he knew many thugs and had even assaulted her in the past!
When Chen Haorong returned home, his wife Fang Zhiyu rushed over to ask him, "Haorong, did Li Ping agree to let us invest?"
Chen Haorong sighed, "No."
Fang Zhiyu didn't want to give up just like that. She asked, "What about Chen Haoxuan? Didn't you go look for him?"
"I did, but he refused and scolded me. One day, I'll take him down, hum," Chen Haorong said angrily.
Fang Zhiyu wore a pained expression. Without becoming a part of Chen Agricultural Company, she couldn't live a prosperous life like the villagers, which was not what she wanted.
"What should we do from now on, Haorong?" Fang Zhiyu asked sadly.
"I think we should sell this house and move to the county town. I have quite a few friends there; maybe I can mix with them and even become a leader," Chen Haorong suggested.
"Alright! Mixing in the county town? That's better than farming in Chen Family Village," Fang Zhiyu said dejectedly.
"Let's go find the land deed. Now that Chen Family Village has been developed, I think our house should sell for a good price," Chen Haorong said, feeling unexpectedly cheerful.
Chen Haorong and his wife excitedly searched the house for the land deed, but after searching the entire Small Villa, they couldn't find it. Then Chen Haorong thought of his father, Chen Zhenghao. He remembered overhearing his parents talking at the door yesterday and knew they had gone to his grandfather's house, so he immediately took a ride to his grandfather's place.
After leaving Li Ping's house, Chen Haoxuan instructed Jiang Dong and the others to spread the news about Chen Haorong wanting to invest in Chen Agricultural Company. He wanted the villagers to despise Chen Haorong so much that they would see him as an enemy. Ideally, he hoped to drive Chen Haorong away so he wouldn't have to worry about encountering him in Chen Family Village because seeing Chen Haorong would ruin his mood.
Jiang Dong and the others deliberately mentioned Chen Haorong's intentions while buying snacks in the village. The small shop was a popular spot, so the news spread quickly. The villagers were furious upon hearing it and secretly cursed Chen Haorong for being shameless, thinking he could just contribute a few thousand yuan and expect to share profits with them.
Li Xin lived in a village near New City. Soon enough, Chen Haorong arrived there but quickly returned because his father sent him back.
Chen Zhenghao was almost driven to death by his son. A few years ago, he ran away from home, leaving behind a huge debt, and had not been heard from in years. Chen Zhenghao was ruthless, and Chen Haorong was scared. So he returned to see if there was any way to obtain the property deed from his father. However, when Chen Haorong returned to Chen Family Village, he noticed that the villagers looked at him with discontented expressions, murmuring under their breath: "Hmph..."
"What happened to these villagers? They were fine when I left. Why are they looking at me like this now that I'm back? Did something happen while I was gone?" Chen Haorong thought to himself as he hurried home to ask his wife.
Upon returning home, he saw his wife walking anxiously in the yard. He called out, "Honey, what are you doing?"
"Hao Rong, you're back! Did you get the property deed?" Fang Zhiyu asked excitedly. She didn't want to stay in Chen Family Village for another moment because she had just gone out to buy snacks, but the shopkeeper refused to sell to her. The other shopkeepers did the same, and the villagers quietly cursed her as a troublemaker. Therefore, she wanted to sell the house and leave immediately.
