Chen Haoxuan took Song Fangfang's car to Meilin Huang's house. He wanted to give Meilin Huang a surprise, so he didn't notify her beforehand. When they arrived at the apartment where Meilin Huang lived, Chen Haoxuan took the elevator upstairs with Song Fangfang. While in the elevator, Chen Haoxuan said to Meilin Huang, "When we get there, you follow me. I want to give my disciple a surprise; she will be very happy to see you."
"Hehe... I didn't expect you to be as playful as a child. But since I promised, I'll indulge you in this little prank just this once!" Song Fangfang said sweetly. If someone saw her with Chen Haoxuan and heard their conversation, they might even suspect they were a couple. The reason Song Fangfang was so enthusiastic about Chen Haoxuan wasn't because she loved him, but because she admired him. His songwriting ability left her in awe; as a singer herself, she understood the difficulty of writing songs. While some people could write a song in a month, others might take years or even a lifetime without ever completing one.
However, Chen Haoxuan had only protected her for a few days and before leaving, he handed her several songs. Song Fangfang suspected that he had written them long ago. But today, when she saw Chen Haoxuan walk into the room and come out shortly after, it was clear he had created a classic song in that brief time—better than any of the songs he had previously written for her. To produce such a classic song in such a short time required either genius or extraordinary talent. Thus, she admired Chen Haoxuan; having a world-class superstar admire her was quite an honor, though she never expressed it, and Chen Haoxuan remained unaware.
Upon reaching Meilin Huang's doorstep, Chen Haoxuan rang the doorbell twice. The one who opened the door was Meilin Huang; she was now a high school student and was home for summer vacation. When Meilin Huang saw Chen Haoxuan, whom she had missed dearly, she excitedly hugged his waist and exclaimed, "Brother Xuan, you finally came to see me! I'm so happy!"
"Let go of me and close your eyes; I have a gift for you that will definitely make you excited!" Chen Haoxuan joked.
Li Yuzhen was inside watching television when she heard voices outside. She quickly stood up and went to the door—it was Chen Haoxuan! She couldn't afford to be negligent. Seeing Chen Haoxuan joking with her daughter made Li Yuzhen say to him, "Haoxuan, ignore that girl and come in to sit down; I'll make you some coffee."
"I'm not joking with Xiaolin; everything I'm saying is true," Chen Haoxuan smiled at Li Yuzhen. He had a good impression of her; although Li Yuzhen initially invited him as a tutor because of his looks, he didn't mind since it's natural for people to appreciate beauty—men like pretty girls and women like handsome boys.
"Xiaolin, hurry up and close your eyes! If you don't close them soon, I might just take the gift back!" Chen Haoxuan said mysteriously to Meilin Huang.
Once Meilin Huang closed her eyes, Chen Haoxuan quietly moved aside while Song Fangfang took off her sunglasses and stepped into the spot where Chen Haoxuan had just been standing. Li Yuzhen kept her eyes open; when she saw Song Fangfang, she wanted to shout out in surprise but knew she couldn't since Chen Haoxuan had just mentioned giving her daughter a surprise. To avoid exclaiming, she quickly covered her mouth.
Chen Haoxuan stood by the wall and said, "Okay, you can open your eyes now."
"Brother Xuan, what is this mysterious gift?" Meilin Huang asked as she opened her eyes. Suddenly, she realized something was off—the white suit that Chen Haoxuan wore contrasted sharply with the black shirt before her and an enviable pair of curves that definitely did not belong to him. This wasn't right; not only was the outfit wrong but even if Chen Haoxuan had impressive muscles, they couldn't compare to this.
Looking up at the face before her revealed it belonged to a woman. Upon closer inspection, she gasped, "Wow! You... you're Song Fangfang?"
"Hello, Xiaolin, I am Song Fangfang. I heard that you really like me, so I came with Haoxuan," Song Fangfang said with a kind smile.
"Ah, I'm so excited! Sister Song actually came to my house to see me, boohoo... hug..." Meilin Huang exclaimed joyfully, not caring whether Song Fangfang agreed or not as she threw her arms around Song Fangfang's waist. She wasn't very tall, and her head was just at the level of Song Fangfang's chest. It was unclear whether she was too excited or just trying to take advantage of the situation, but her head kept rubbing against Song Fangfang.
Chen Haoxuan watched from the side as Meilin Huang pressed her head against Song Fangfang's chest, feeling envious and wishing he could push Meilin Huang away and take her place... (No need to express further; you understand.)
Song Fangfang didn't mind at all since both she and Meilin Huang were girls. She chuckled and said to Meilin Huang, "Xiaolin, aren't you going to invite us in to sit?"
Upon hearing this, Meilin Huang snapped out of her excitement. She realized she had left her idol Song Fangfang and the person she had been thinking about, Chen Haoxuan, standing at the door. She felt she had been too rude. Quickly, Meilin Huang pulled Song Fangfang inside and jokingly called out to Chen Haoxuan still outside, "Brother Xuan, don't be shy! Come on in!"
Chen Haoxuan walked in with a wry smile while Li Yuzhen hurried to make coffee for him and Song Fangfang.
Sitting in the living room next to Song Fangfang was Meilin Huang. Chen Haoxuan said to her, "Xiaolin, I have another surprise for you. Once you see it, you'll be even more excited than before."
Meilin Huang giggled as she moved next to Chen Haoxuan, wrapping her arms around his and resting her head on his shoulder while playfully saying, "Brother Xuan, what is the surprise? Don't keep me in suspense; hurry up and tell me!"
Chen Haoxuan took a piece of paper from his pocket, unfolded it, and placed it on the table. He said, "This is a new song I wrote for Miss Song's concert. I'll be singing it together with Miss Song. The important part is that this song needs someone to play the piano, so I thought of you. What do you think? Do you want to give it a try?"
Meilin Huang quickly kissed Chen Haoxuan on the cheek and replied excitedly, "Of course I would love to! It would be such an honor to play the piano at Sister Song's concert."
"Xiaolin, look! Brother Xuan has given you two gifts today. How are you going to repay him?" Chen Haoxuan joked with a grin.
"I'll offer myself to you; I'm just afraid Brother Xuan won't dare to marry me," Meilin Huang blurted out without thinking. She had confessed her feelings to Chen Haoxuan long ago, but he had rejected her. If Chen Haoxuan agreed now, she would truly dare to marry him.
