Abel's team observed the terrain of Chen Family Village and planned several escape routes. With this businessman promoting appliances there, they could invite many performers to create a lively atmosphere, attracting crowds that might include Chen Xiaonuo.
After all, it was nighttime; generally, adults wouldn't allow children out at night, and children typically didn't like playing outside after dark. Thus, they needed a way to lure Chen Xiaonuo out.
They had been busy all day, and the next morning, each of them was filled with excitement. If they succeeded, they would make history. Although their actions were somewhat despicable, their efforts could help the United States regain its status as a leading technological nation. However, that possibility depended on their success; if they failed and word got out, their names would be remembered in infamy.
In the afternoon, Abel had the businessman from the United States start promoting his electrical appliances while also allowing the performers they had invited to begin their acts. With something fresh and new, it was no surprise that a crowd quickly gathered, with thousands of people watching the performances.
Abel and her companions disguised themselves as tourists and Chinese people, wandering near Chen Haoxuan's home. At 3 PM, Chen Haoxuan emerged, driving away with several bodyguards. This nearly made Abel burst into laughter; Chen Haoxuan was their most feared enemy. As long as Chen Haoxuan was not present, it didn't matter how skilled his bodyguards were because they believed intelligence was the strongest weapon.
Chen Xiaonuo had gone out to play after finishing her lunch. She had heard that there were performances in the village and rushed back to see them. Abel and her group did not expect Chen Haoxuan to leave so early; had they known, they wouldn't have arranged for performances in the village. Just moments ago, Chen Xiaonuo had been playing by the river where there were many tourists, but even more people were in the village. If it had been outside, they wouldn't have had to go through so much trouble or face such danger.
Chen Family Village was patrolled by Chen Haoxuan's bodyguards, making it risky to capture Chen Xiaonuo there. To increase their chances of success, they instructed the performers to stop and sent a dozen people to dance with a dragon towards the outskirts of the village. They believed that a playful child like Chen Xiaonuo would surely follow.
Indeed, Chen Xiaonuo followed along with a group of children her age; there were hardly any adults around. Among those dancing with the dragon were Abel's people. When they reached the riverbank, Abel waved her hand, and two of the dancers suddenly broke away from the dragon dance and charged toward Chen Xiaonuo's location.
Chen Xiaonuo was hopping along behind the dancers when she saw those two running toward her. She stopped in her tracks, her big eyes blinking as she looked at them and wondered aloud, "Are they going to perform something strange again?"
Abel's people succeeded; they reached Chen Xiaonuo quickly and grabbed her tightly before running off. Chen Xiaonuo didn’t scream, nor did the other children following the dragon dance; well, they simply didn’t understand what was happening.
Seeing her subordinate successfully capture Chen Xiaonuo, Abel touched her left shoulder with her right hand, then her right shoulder, followed by tapping her forehead. She brought her palms together and exclaimed, "Thank God! Thank you, Lord! The United States is saved!"
Chen Xiaonuo felt very uncomfortable being held tightly by Abel's subordinate who feared she might escape. The grip was so tight that it hurt her. So she protested loudly, "Uncle, please put Xiao Nuo down! You're hurting Xiao Nuo!"
