Arthur listened quietly to the story of the Chief of Police, feeling some emotional turbulence but mostly maintaining a rational analysis. Involuntarily, he connected the eerie scenes in the story with the Chief of Police's state of mind at the time. He thought to himself that after all, it was a period when the Chief of Police had just lost a close and magical Pokémon partner, and emotional fluctuations could likely lead to some extraordinary sensations and imaginations. 0

He silently analyzed in his mind: "The Chief of Police had just lost the Gumshoos Detective, which certainly had a significant emotional impact. In such a gloomy and eerie place, the fear and loss in the heart could easily be magnified, resulting in some abnormal sensations. Coupled with Lavender Town itself being filled with various unknown legends and a mysterious atmosphere, it's easy for people's hearts to generate fear, and even hallucinations." 0

Arthur shook his head slightly and set aside his thoughts for the moment. He looked into the deep eyes of the Chief of Police, sensing his concern and warning. He understood that the Chief of Police hoped he would be cautious, not easily deceived by the surface phenomena of Lavender Town, and would delve deeper into the truth of the matter. 0

He expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Police, saying, "Thank you for your reminder and concern, Chief of Police. I will remember your words and remain vigilant and alert during the investigation. No matter how strange Lavender Town may be, I will work hard to uncover the truth and find clues to solve the missing cases in Lavender Town." 0

Chief of Police's gaze seemed to freeze at a certain moment, his eyes looking into the distance as if being drawn by some memories. Arthur's voice brought him back to reality, and he looked at Arthur, his eyes revealing some complex emotions. He slowly said, "I hope everything goes well for you in Lavender Town, may all disasters stay away." His words seemed to contain some deep blessings and concerns. 0

Arthur felt the sincerity in Chief of Police's words, nodded slightly, and responded lightly, "Thank you, Chief of Police, I will be careful." With that, he turned and walked towards the door of the conference room. 0

Arthur pushed open the door of the conference room and walked out of the room. The door slowly closed behind him, separating him from the quietness of the conference room and the thoughts of the Chief of Police. Behind the door of the conference room, the Chief of Police still maintained his previous posture, his gaze fixed in the direction of the door, as if contemplating something profound. 0

Arthur walked back to his office, still mulling over the Chief of Police's words. He opened the door to his office, looked around, and in this familiar space, he didn't know how long this departure would be. He quickly refocused his thoughts and began to concentrate on preparing for the upcoming mission. 0

He first opened the drawer and took out some Pokémon recovery potions, including healing sprays and some basic herbs. He carefully placed them in specific positions in his backpack so that he could quickly access them when needed. Then he picked up the handcuffs on the table, checked their mechanical structure, and ensured their reliability. 0

After preparing the basic equipment, Arthur left the office and headed towards the Ministry of War. The Ministry of War is located on the underground level of the police station, a tightly guarded area. He walked down the narrow stairs and quickly arrived at the door of the Ministry of War. He rang the doorbell, and the ordnance officer inside, upon seeing him, smiled and greeted him. 0

"Hi Arthur, do you need any help?" the ordnance officer asked kindly. 0

"Hello, I need to pick up a handgun," Arthur responded. 0

"Oh, are you going on a mission? Where to?" the ordnance officer asked as he walked towards the weapon cabinet, beginning to prepare the weapons for him. 0

"I'm going to Lavender Town. There's a missing persons case that needs investigation," Arthur replied simply. 0

Ordnance officer heard Lavender Town and his expression slightly hardened. He had also heard some strange rumors about that place. He opened the cabinet, took out a standard-issue police pistol, checked the mechanical condition of the firearm, confirmed it was in good condition, and handed it to Arthur. 0

"This is your weapon, along with these bullets. Be careful, that place is not very peaceful," ordnance officer reminded solemnly. 0

Arthur took the weapon and ammunition, nodded, and said, "Thank you, I will be careful." 0

He loaded the bullets into the magazine, ensured the safety of the firearm, and then placed it in the holster on his police belt. He nodded again to the ordnance officer and left the Ministry of War. 0

Arthur walked out of the Ministry of War and returned to the lobby of the General Police Headquarters of the Kanto Region. This is the core area where police officers work daily, and the crowd is always bustling. He stood at the entrance of the lobby, watching the busy officers around him, feeling a complex emotion welling up inside him. 0

He watched groups of officers coming and going in the lobby. Some were exchanging information about cases, some were busy filling out reports, and others were answering emergency calls from citizens. Every person's face was marked with seriousness and professionalism, showing their responsibility and focus on their work. 0

Arthur walked through the hall, watching the scene of the officers communicating and coordinating, and couldn't help but think that being a police officer is not just about upholding the law, but also about protecting people's safety and order. Behind every case, there could be a family's safety at stake, or a community's stability. This only strengthened his belief that he must solve the missing case in Lavender Town and protect more people's safety. 0

In the busy hall, Arthur was drawn into contemplation by the commotion around him. The busy figures of the officers, the ringing of phones, and the bustling crowd all made him feel the busyness and liveliness of the city. His thoughts drifted to the upcoming trip to Lavender Town, and he couldn't help but feel a hint of anticipation and nervousness. Suddenly, he felt something lightly touch his right shoulder. Surprised, he quickly turned to look, only to find no one there. Startled, he didn't know what was happening. Just as he felt puzzled, a familiar laughter came from his left side. 0

He turned around and saw his old colleague, Brown, who was looking at him with a playful smile. Brown chuckled, walked up to Arthur, patted his shoulder, and said, "Haha, Arthur, fooled by this old trick again, huh?" 0

Arthur suddenly realized that it was just a joke from Brown. He couldn't help but laugh and gently patted Brown's shoulder, saying, "Really, always teasing me. But, this trick works every time, I have to hand it to you." 0

Brown Haha, his laughter echoed in the hall, attracting the attention of many people. He pointed to the equipment and gun in Arthur's hand and said, "It looks like your mission this time is not simple, where are you going?" 0

Arthur put away his smile and said seriously, "I'm going to Lavender Town, where some missing cases have recently occurred. I've been sent to investigate." 0

Brown's face changed, showing some worry. He looked at Arthur seriously and said, " Lavender Town, that place is not simple, there are many rumors. You must be careful and protect yourself." 0

Arthur felt Brown's concern and worry, he nodded and said, "Don't worry, I will be careful. And I have also prepared some necessary equipment." 0

BrownLooking at Arthur's determined eyes, he just patted his shoulder heavily and said, "Well, be careful on your way." 0
