With a smile at the corners of his mouth, the gentleman stood apart from the world, his deep gaze captivating Liu Qingxi. A gentle voice echoed in his ears: "Qingxi, let's go back and have dinner!"
"Uh, okay!" Liu Qingxi inexplicably felt that Yang Yichen was not an ordinary person, ethereal amidst the mundane.

He had studied law and was well-versed in it. The emperor valued filial piety above all; those who were unfilial would face severe punishment according to the law. He didn't understand why the Qin Family was instead at the mercy of Wang Shi.

She did not return to the cave but headed straight to the wasteland to find Yan: "Old man, are you tired?"
Yan put down the hoe in his hand and squinted his eyes, "So, how is it, Wife? Have you seen the two kids?"
"I have, I have!" A smile could not be contained on Qin Family's face.
Before Yan could ask further, she smiled brightly, "The Girl and Yan are doing well. Guess what I saw when I went there?"
Yan remained silent, but his raised eyebrows expressed his inner curiosity.
"They were eating meat! A huge pot of it. It seems like Qingxi is doing alright now, but you don't know how heartbroken I felt seeing them eat like that!
Having meat doesn't mean they should eat it all at once; they should save some for later or sell it! But no, the Girl even invited a bunch of Child!"
Qin Family grinned widely. She thought all the way there and still felt that Liu Qingxi was too wasteful and didn't know how to manage life!
"No way, I need to go see them more often. The kids don’t understand how hard it is to make a living; I need to keep an eye on them!"
Yan gazed into the distance, thinking about that son who was not fond of talking but was honest and most like him, who had already gone far away. His granddaughter and grandson also had their own lives now.
