With a swift motion, Bu Wei dashed forward like an arrow piercing through the air, reaching the Alchemical Puppet in an instant.
His rapid advance did not pause; his hands unleashed a burst of dark energy as the Furious Cloud Palm struck out violently, sending a wave of destructive force crashing into the exposed chest of the Alchemical Puppet.
With a loud crack, the Energy Core shattered completely. The massive axe that the Alchemical Puppet had just raised lost its energy support and fell heavily to the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.
The battle unfolded too quickly. Other participants who had noticed the opportunity to take advantage barely took a step before the fight came to an abrupt halt.
They only saw a shadow flash by, followed by the Alchemical Puppet's giant axe hitting the ground, its Energy Core completely destroyed.
"Ding"
"System Notification: Killed Low-Level Alchemical Puppet - No. f86, gained 10 Experience points, total Experience gained: 10 points."
With a thunderous sound, the towering metal body of the Alchemical Puppet collapsed to the ground.
The sudden System Notification caught Bu Wei off guard; he hadn't expected that killing an Alchemical Puppet would yield Experience points. Although it was only 10 points for a Low-Level Alchemical Puppet, it was still unexpected.
This might be related to his recent breakthrough in strength. Killing beings at the same power level could only yield 10 Experience points.
In this Qualification Challenge, there were hundreds of Alchemical Puppets. If he could defeat over thirty of them, wouldn't that mean he could level up again?
Just as Bu Wei was lost in thought, a sharp beam of gunfire suddenly struck from behind with incredible speed. Bu Mei tilted her head slightly and chuckled lightly as she activated Dragon Step, gliding away like a startled swan.
The attacker from behind was none other than the participant who had been injured and spat blood from being struck by the Alchemical Puppet.
Seeing that his first attack had missed, this person adjusted his stance and launched another assault, moving with great force like a dragon sweeping its tail, enveloping Bu Wei in a furious barrage of gunfire.
"Look, that guy who just jumped off is being chased," a middle-aged man suddenly pointed at a spot on the diamond screen from the Viewing Platform.
"Haha, that guy with the gun is Robin. I've heard his strength has already reached Low-Level; this kid is done for," another person said gleefully.
"I saw him just now take down a Low-Level Alchemical Puppet, so his strength should be quite strong too," another person joined the discussion, sounding somewhat uncertain.
"You don't know what you're talking about. That Alchemical Puppet was already severely damaged by Robin and his team, so this kid just got lucky," the first person scoffed, looking at the later speaker with disdain.
"Who told him not to keep a low profile? Look, there's a whole group rushing over too," another voice chimed in.
The figure moved gracefully, like leaves falling in the wind, effortlessly dodging the dense barrage of gunfire around him as if threading a needle.
Robin was secretly alarmed; this person's movement technique was truly impressive, easily evading his attacks. The relaxed demeanor suggested that they hadn't even exerted themselves fully.
With caution in mind, Robin retracted his gun and halted his offensive.
"You're indeed formidable. The two Alchemical Ropes from that Alchemical Puppet are yours," Robin said, standing still with his gun lowered, watching the figure warily as he spoke slowly.
At this moment, he had not yet recovered from his injuries. After a round of fighting without taking down his opponent, he feared that prolonged engagement would cause his old wounds to flare up again.
Moreover, through this probing encounter, he had gauged his opponent's strength. He figured that even if he were uninjured, defeating this person would be difficult; it was better to retreat early.
Bu Jingjing scrutinized Robin for a moment before placing his hands behind his back, showing no intention of attacking.
He also had his own considerations; defeating this person wasn't difficult, but since the opponent currently had no Alchemical Ropes, there was little point in making a move.
It would be better to let them grow stronger before striking; given the opponent's strength, perhaps next time they met, he could obtain some decent loot.
Seeing Bu Shuang's hands behind his back, Robin also breathed a sigh of relief and cautiously backed away.
It wasn't until Robin's figure completely disappeared that Bu did not make a move to stop him. He had already noticed a group of people approaching from this direction. It seemed someone couldn't resist the urge and wanted to take action against him.
The two Alchemical Ropes on the head of the Alchemical Puppet had already appeared. Bu casually untied them and picked one up to examine closely.
The Alchemical Rope looked ordinary, nothing remarkable about it, just like a piece of hemp rope.
"Hey, kid, if you know what's good for you, hand over the Alchemical Ropes in your hand, or I'll make sure your mother won't recognize you."
A rough voice filled with menace came through, sounding quite arrogant.
"Yeah, make sure he doesn't even recognize his own mother, boss," another voice chimed in.
"Shut up! Who are you to teach me? Are you the boss or am I?"
Bu turned his head to look and saw a team of six people slowly closing in on him in a surrounding formation.
The one who spoke first seemed to be the leader, a burly man with a face full of flesh. He viciously kicked one of his companions who looked nervous.
"How did this fellow get in here?" Bu thought as he looked at the person in front of him, whose face was so fleshy and whose beard was so thick that he hardly looked under five years old.
"What are you staring at? Didn't you hear my boss? Hurry up and hand over the Alchemical Ropes." Seeing Bu's dazed expression, another sneaky-looking fellow shouted.
With a sneer, Bu couldn't be bothered to waste words with these low-level thugs.
Out of the six people, five were low-level Level 1 fighters, while only the burly fellow had reached Low-Level strength. This level was nothing for Bu; he could easily deal with them.
With the grace of a dragon, he swiftly darted out, his long strides causing his clothes to billow as he charged directly into the encirclement of Six People, his palms radiating a deep black light, ready to unleash the Furious Cloud Palm.
Upon witnessing this scene, the Leader was momentarily stunned, then immediately filled with rage. This person truly did not know his place, daring to strike first and acting as if he were someone important.
"Go, kill him!"
With a wave of his hand, the Leader shouted, and his demeanor had a hint of an Outlaw's ferocity.
The Five Accomplices immediately began shouting curses as they fiercely advanced towards him, their weapons slashing and hacking in a chaotic manner, creating a flurry of blades and shadows.
With a disdainful smile, he moved like a fish swimming through water, weaving effortlessly through the chaotic attacks of the five.
As he approached one of them, his palm flashed with black light and lightly covered the person's chest. It seemed he had not used much force, yet the individual collapsed as if struck by a heavy blow, his chest caving in as he fell limply to the ground.
Suddenly, a sword light surged towards him. With his left hand enveloped in dense black light, he countered with a swift motion. With a clang, his palm directly severed the incoming sword.
The wielder was none other than the Sneaky Fellow, who now stood dumbfounded at the broken sword in his hand, unable to believe what had just happened. However, before he could react further, a sudden flash of black light struck him, and he lost all consciousness from a sharp pain in his head.
The battle unfolded in the blink of an eye. The anger on the Leader's face had not even begun to fade when Bu Lingli's actions left him stunned.
In just this brief moment, they had already lost two team members, both taken down with a single strike.
Watching Bu's effortless movements, the Leader began to reconsider his earlier bravado and had long since discarded any underestimation.
At this moment, he felt regret for provoking this opponent. Making enemies without cause during the Qualification Challenge was a grave mistake, especially against someone so powerful.
Having just seen how the opponent had been on the defensive while dealing with Robin, he had underestimated him, thinking that this person’s strength was nothing remarkable.
Although Robin later retreated for reasons unknown, this was precisely the outcome he wanted to see.
He was well aware of Robin's strength and preferred not to provoke him. However, with Robin gone, he felt a sense of relief. Yet, he never considered the possibility of facing a powerful opponent.
With a strong competitor out of the way, someone like Fellow, whom he viewed as weak, was nothing more than clay in his hands.
He only imagined the beginning of this situation to be favorable but could not foresee its conclusion.
During the moment Leader was lost in thought, his remaining three companions had all fallen, either dead or injured.
With a thud, Bu stopped in his tracks, kicking up dust as he looked at the lone survivor with a playful glint in his eyes.
Leader shivered all over, staring blankly at Bu, feeling a mix of emotions inside.
Now he understood why Robin had retreated, but it was too late for him to realize that.
Although he was confident that even if he couldn't defeat his opponent, he could still save his own life.
However, if he were injured during the fight, then he could forget about achieving any good results in the Qualification Challenge.
In a Qualification Challenge, reaching the end is an honor. Even if one does not place in the top three, as long as they do not withdraw midway, they are considered strong and sought after by many Major Forces.
“Cough... cough... my lord, it seems I have failed to recognize your greatness. I apologize profusely. I hope you will show mercy.”
The burly leader chuckled awkwardly, bowing repeatedly.
Bu's palm still glimmered with dark energy as he crossed his arms and observed the other's demeanor with interest. He lazily replied, “If you apologize once and say just one word, I might let you go. But that would be too easy, wouldn’t it?”
Leader frowned, the smile on his face gradually fading, and his expression turned somewhat grim as he said, "Sir, you have beaten my five teammates into this state. Even if we were the ones at fault first, that should settle the matter. Do you really want to force me to take action? If we both suffer... then..."
"Both suffer? Hahaha, just based on you?" Before Leader could finish his sentence, Step threw back his head and laughed loudly, his laughter unrestrained and wild.
Seeing the other party mock him so arrogantly, Leader's face turned dark with anger. He no longer cared about whether he was making an enemy or not and shouted loudly, swinging his Greatsword down fiercely at Step.
The blade gleamed like the moon, cutting through the air with a fierce wind.
With each step Leader took on the ground, dirt flew up as if a wild bull was plowing the field. The Greatsword in his hand emitted a yellow light, slicing through the air like a bull's horn, unstoppable.
Step remained calm; although the opponent's attack was fierce, it lacked versatility and was easy to break.
With a gleam of dark light in his palm, Step stepped lightly, his body tilting forward slightly as his right palm struck against the side of Leader's sword.
With a loud "clang," the incoming Greatsword was knocked away by Step's palm. The large man lost his balance and stumbled a few steps forward. Without hesitation, Step unleashed a powerful left palm strike.
The wind was unpredictable, and the clouds were ever-changing.
Bu Shen grasped the essence of the Furious Cloud Palm. At this moment, as he struck out with his left palm, it transformed from being inconspicuous to radiating dark light, resembling rolling black clouds that swept everything away.
