Alliance Pavilion is a bustling place, filled with many people. Numerous Outer Gate Students dressed in dark clothing are moving about, along with a few uniquely dressed Inner Gate Disciples. Upon closer inspection of their attire, one can see various embroidered patterns on the cuffs or chests of many individuals, representing the different factions they belong to, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a campus underworld. 0

Not long after arriving here, Step found himself being targeted by several individuals who approached him with flattering words, continuously inviting him to join their factions and urging him to consider their offers. 0

As Step repeatedly declined and his patience began to wear thin, these individuals became increasingly animated, extolling the benefits of joining their ranks and warning that he would surely regret not doing so. Eventually, they exchanged hostile glances while trying to undermine each other in front of Step, hoping he would weigh the pros and cons and choose their faction. 0

Despite his attempts to shake them off, Step's mood grew more irritated. He couldn't help but coldly remark, "Please respect yourselves. I have no intention of joining any faction at the moment, and I have decided to establish my own. You need not waste your breath any longer." 0

"You? Establish your own faction?" 0

"Ha! If you change your mind in the future, the doors of my mighty guild will always be open for you." 0

"Hmph, overestimating yourself, wasting my words." 0

Once Step spoke up, the attitudes of these individuals shifted dramatically; some expressed skepticism while others laughed derisively. However, they all shook their heads and dispersed, granting him a moment of peace. Other students nearby overheard Step's remarks and chuckled lightly, looking at him with mocking expressions. No one believed that someone whose strength was merely at the Intermediate Level and clearly a new Fellow could accomplish anything significant. 0

Ignoring the strange looks from others, Step maintained his composure as he entered the Alliance Pavilion. The interior was spacious and divided into several levels, bustling with groups of students engaged in lively conversation. 0

The Alliance Pavilion serves not only as a place for students to form factions but also as a central hub for various missions. Here, one can accept tasks from different academies, and there is also a cooperative relationship between Holy Light Academy and the Mercenary Guild. Thus, one can take on not just academy missions but also Mercenary tasks. Some missions are even jointly issued by both parties; completing such tasks grants rewards from both the academy and the Mercenary Guild. 0

After establishing a faction in the Alliance Pavilion, members must complete certain tasks issued by the Alliance Hall each month. The Alliance Pavilion evaluates the completion level of these tasks and awards alliance points to factions that successfully complete them. Once these points reach a certain threshold, factions can apply for various resources from the Alliance Pavilion to aid in their development. Consequently, this place is often crowded with members from various factions. 0

"Hello, I would like to establish a faction. Could you please tell me what approval processes I need to go through?" Upon reaching the second floor of the pavilion, Step stood at a counter in a side hall where an attractive woman was present. 0

The side hall was empty aside from them; Step's voice echoed clearly in the quiet space. The Enchanting Woman, who had been sitting at the counter engrossed in a book, was startled by his voice and glanced over with a furrowed brow. 0

"Do you want to build a force?" The Enchanting Woman questioned, her tone laced with skepticism and her eyes betraying impatience. 0

"Yes," Bu nodded, maintaining his composure and not minding her attitude. 0

Upon hearing this, the Enchanting Woman furrowed her brows even deeper. She scrutinized Bu again and shook her head, speaking in a tone that felt like a reprimand. "You must be a new student at the academy. Instead of focusing on your cultivation, you shouldn't be daydreaming about lofty ambitions that are irrelevant. It's not beneficial for you. You can leave now." 0

With that, the Enchanting Woman ignored Bu further and lowered her head to look at the book in her hands. 0

Bu's expression grew colder, feeling somewhat displeased. However, he understood that the person before him clearly held some status, one he couldn't afford to offend just yet. Moreover, sensing the subtle energy fluctuations emanating from her, it seemed she possessed considerable strength that he couldn't gauge at the moment. He could only suppress his irritation and say, "Building a force is my personal choice; I hope you can be accommodating." 0

"Accommodating?" Seeing Bu still standing there, the Enchanting Woman became somewhat annoyed and coldly scoffed. "You think you can build a force with just Intermediate Level strength? This is no child's play. 0

To establish a force, it requires at least ten members, all of whom must be students of the academy. Among those ten, at least three must have strength above Intermediate Level, and you must complete a task to qualify. Finally, you need to submit five million Silver Kall as operational funds for the force. Do you understand this? Can you accomplish it?" 0

Bu was taken aback; he genuinely didn't know there were such requirements for forming a force. Previously, he had only heard that forces could be established through the Alliance Pavilion after passing an assessment but was unclear on the specifics. 0

Seeing Bu's expression, disdain gradually appeared on the Enchanting Woman's face as she coldly remarked, "If you can't meet these requirements, you can leave and don't bother applying." 0

Bu Mei frowned tightly but did not lose his temper. He nodded and said, "I will come back in a month." With that, Bu turned and left without casting another glance at the Enchanting Woman. 0

He understood that continuing to linger would only make him a laughingstock. Only when he had qualifications that commanded respect would his words carry weight. 0

The Enchanting Woman chuckled lightly, her laughter echoing as she watched Bu's departing figure. She paid no heed to his words and returned to her book. 0

Bu Yi Lu pondered, frowning as he returned to his residence. Reynold had already arrived before him and was currently staying there. The slightly gloomy expression on Bu's face was noticed by Kalandor and the others, causing them to feel a sense of unease. 0

"What’s wrong? Is everything going smoothly?" Wendy Lian approached gently, taking Bu's hand and gazing at him with her bright eyes. 0

Bu shook his head with a smile and then addressed Kalandor and the others, "Most matters have been handled, but the formation of our forces is still pending. This cannot be rushed; we need to make some preparations. The assessment for the Outer Gate requires you to withstand the attack of an Intermediate Alchemical Puppet for ten minutes. As long as you can hold out for that duration, you will be able to enter the Outer Gate." 0

"Intermediate Alchemical Puppet?" Ivan exclaimed first but quickly calmed down after receiving a stern look from Bu. 0

Kalandor was also somewhat surprised, but the glint in his eyes indicated that he did not feel too pressured. He laughed heartily, "If it’s just holding out for ten minutes, with my current strength and speed, I should manage just fine." 0

Bu nodded and walked over to the large table in the room, with everyone following behind. They then saw Bu wave his hand casually, causing four tightly sealed large boxes to appear on the table. 0

Everyone's eyes lit up; Ivan let out a strange cry, sneaking a glance at Bu before hastily opening one of the boxes to take a look. 0

"Four sets of Excellence Level Amplification Equipment, all borrowed from Van Lao. Their attributes are top-notch, comparable to my own Destruction Set. You can each choose one set, and once you’re equipped, we’ll head straight to the Outer Gate," Bu said decisively, clearly taking charge among the group with an air of authority. 0

"Great! With this set of Amplification Equipment, I’m confident I can succeed," Kalandor said with joy as he lifted one box and headed into the room. 0

"I will do my best, Master," Locke said as he carried a box over to Bu. He lacked confidence about enduring ten minutes against the Intermediate Alchemical Puppet but remained steady in spirit and wouldn’t let discouragement take hold before even trying. 0

Bu smiled appreciatively and patted Locke on the shoulder before shifting his gaze to Ivan, whose demeanor was somewhat shifty. His expression turned stern. 0

Unlike Locke, Ivan tended to rely on luck and lacked determination. If Bu didn’t keep reminding this fellow to stay focused, Ivan would not muster the resolve to give it his all. 0

Not long after, the four of them had all changed into their Amplification Equipment, standing together with a certain imposing presence. Even the most disheveled and unsettling Ivan transformed completely after donning a set of dark green soft armor, exuding an aura of a skilled expert. 0

"Let's go, it's time to set off." Bu and Reynold were discussing matters related to forming their faction. Seeing that the four were ready, they wasted no time and stood up decisively. 0

This time, Bu even brought Wendy along, and the group marched towards the Outer Gate. On the way, they unexpectedly ran into Mu Yan. 0

Mu Yan was momentarily taken aback upon seeing Bu. She was accompanied by several unfamiliar young men whom Bu did not recognize; they seemed to be students from the inner academy. These individuals surrounded Mu Yan, displaying polite demeanor, yet their eager gazes hinted at something more. However, from Mu Yan's indifferent attitude, which subtly suggested she was keeping her distance, it was clear she did not regard them highly. 0

Bu smiled and nodded at Mu Yan but did not approach for conversation. After Mu Yan offered a rare nod in response, he led his group past her, faintly hearing whispers from behind. 0

"Who is this guy? He looks unfamiliar." 0

"That's obvious; we're all newcomers. This guy knows Sister Mu Yan, so he must be part of the same batch of new students. But he's so arrogant and rude—just a nod and then he walks away without any gentlemanly manners." 0

"Come on, if this Fellow were any more enthusiastic, it would just add to our competitive pressure. At least he knows his place." 0

As she listened to the murmurs from those around her, Mu Yan's eyes flickered with a strange expression. She gazed at Bu and the others' retreating figures and remained silent for a while before gracefully moving on. 0
