The Two-Headed Lizard lives year-round at the peak of Yin Mountain. It has become accustomed to the enveloping mist, and although its vision is still limited, it can see much farther than Bu. Therefore, during his journey, once he sensed the presence of a Two-Headed Lizard through the Mental Power of Hong Lian, he immediately stopped and changed direction.
Before long, Bu had ventured deep into the territory of the Two-Headed Lizard. With his formidable Agility and Hong Lian's full cooperation, he encountered several adult Two-Headed Lizards along the way but managed to evade them at critical moments. At this point, after much searching, he finally found a suitable hiding place.
It was a peculiar rock formation towering seven or eight meters high, resembling the head of a monster. Amidst the swirling mist, it appeared somewhat eerie and terrifying.
The reason Bu chose this spot was that the rock was relatively secluded. Looking through some weeds, he noticed that at the base of this strange rock, only half of it was supported by the ground; the other half formed a large cavity that resembled a monster's gaping mouth. Inside, there was an area of no less than five or six square meters, enough for three people to hide within.
Bu An felt fortunate. After surveying the surroundings for a while and waiting for Hong Lian to sense any nearby Two-Headed Lizards, he cautiously moved closer to the cave entrance. He gently lowered Eve from his back and sent her into the cave first before following Hong Lian inside.
Having found a hiding place, Bu did not rush out to scout the location of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast's lair. Instead, he tidied up some weeds growing outside the cave to cover the entrance securely. Then he took out a vial containing Serenity Pills from his Storage Bracelet, poured one out, and placed it in Eve's mouth while channeling energy to help her refine it.
Eve had fallen into a coma primarily due to excessive depletion of her Mental Power. Although Bu was uncertain whether giving her a Serenity Pill would awaken her, he felt it was worth trying.
Before long, as the medicinal effects began to take hold, Bu noticed Eve's delicate body tremble slightly as she regained some awareness. Moments later, a faint whimper escaped her lips as she fluttered her long eyelashes and slowly opened her eyes with a slight frown.
Her light purple eyes reflected confusion and pain as she first looked at Bu in bewilderment before gently raising her hand to rub her forehead.
"How do you feel?" Bu asked as he helped Eve sit up against the rock wall and handed her a water pouch.
Eve did not respond but calmly glanced at Bu and silently accepted the water pouch to drink from it.
"We are now at the top of the mountain. Since you have awakened, I will go out to scout the location of that Two-Headed Lizard King Beast's lair. Byron and the others should be arriving soon." Bu was unfazed by Eve's silence; after speaking, he stood up and prepared to leave.
"Wait," Eve suddenly spoke up. Her voice was soft and weak, making it sound very fragile in Bu's ears. He paused and turned his head towards her with a questioning look in his eyes.
"Take this with you. I am seriously injured and will have difficulty recovering quickly; I fear I won't be able to help much," Eve said as she retrieved a Long-Range Detector from her silver Storage Bracelet on her wrist and handed it to Bu. With a pale complexion, she continued, "Both heads of the Two-Headed Lizard can spray different toxic mists. Keep this in mind; it's best not to expose your presence before Byron and the others arrive."
"Understood." Bu nodded as he accepted the Long-Range Detector. His fingers inadvertently brushed against Eve's palm, causing both of them to shudder slightly. However, after exchanging glances that momentarily stirred emotions between them, they settled into calmness and shared a smile before parting ways.
Emerging from the cave, Bu's expression gradually became serious. He did not move recklessly but instead crouched down and placed the Long-Range Detector in front of his eyes, carefully observing everything around him.
This Long-Range Detector was an alchemical device made using unknown principles. Through it, the mist dissipated, revealing a clear view of the surroundings, where every detail in the distance became apparent.
Before Bu's eyes, the world opened up. Hundreds of Two-Headed Lizards of various sizes were either flying or lying down, some soaring through the air while roaring, others wrestling and biting each other on the ground. Surrounding them were countless eerie white bones, their massive skeletons sprawled across the ground, creating an indescribable impact. Even near some mountain caves deeper within, there were numerous corpses of magical beasts, all of which were enormous, some already half-consumed.
Bu gasped in shock as he felt a wave of astonishment. Meanwhile, within the cave, Hong Lian also sensed something. Sitting cross-legged, her eyes suddenly opened wide, radiating brilliance.
"What happened?" Eve, who was nearby, curiously observed Hong Lian. Startled by her sudden awakening, she instinctively asked in a slight panic.
Hong Lian's expression remained indifferent as she ignored Eve and slowly shook her head before closing her eyes again.
"Wow~~ Their personalities are really like night and day," Eve said with a slight roll of her eyes as if she thought of something. Her cheeks flushed as she continued, "Dealing with a silent blockhead is less enjoyable than being with that Fellow who always takes advantage."
At that moment, the Fellow that Eve was thinking about was cautiously crouched inside the skull of a giant beast's skeleton, barely daring to breathe as a chill ran down his back.
Just moments ago, Bu, who had been delving deeper with the Long-Range Detector, suddenly sensed something was off. As he ventured further in, he caught a whiff of a peculiar fishy odor unique to the Two-Headed Lizards. This smell permeated deep within their territory but strangely did not cling to him. It was akin to a large group of people swimming naked while one person stood out in full attire.
Realizing something was wrong, Bu reacted swiftly and began to observe his surroundings. However, what he saw nearly made him lose control; within a radius of several dozen meters, all the Two-Headed Lizards had taken notice and hesitated before converging towards Bu's location. The sound of their wings flapping created a thunderous vibration that resonated like thunder before a storm.
"Damn it!" Bu's expression darkened. He wasn't afraid of the seven or eight approaching Two-Headed Lizards; after all, with his strength, these juvenile lizards at Low-Level and Intermediate Level posed no threat to him. However, if they discovered his presence, it would undoubtedly cause an uproar among the entire Two-Headed Lizard community, leading to an inevitable fierce battle that would jeopardize his plan to steal the White Bone Ghost Lotus.
Just as Bu felt anxious about this situation, a sudden thunderous explosion erupted from afar. The ground shook violently as dust rose and mist rolled like an avalanche.
This unexpected scene caused the seven or eight Two-Headed Lizards that were initially heading towards Bu to pause momentarily. They roared before turning and flying towards the source of the noise.
Bu let out a sigh of relief and felt fortunate. Seizing the moment of chaos among the Two-Headed Lizards, he quickly darted out from behind the giant beast's bones and retraced his steps.
He had already located the cave of the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast. Now returning meant waiting for an opportune moment—waiting for the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast to emerge from its lair while Byron and his group attracted all attention so he could take advantage of the situation.
On the way back, he was cautious, but as he returned, he ran at full speed, taking advantage of the chaos caused by a loud roar. Amidst the commotion of the entire Two-Headed Lizard community, he successfully returned to the cave using some bushes and the bones of mountain beasts as cover.

Curiously taking the items, he examined them briefly before storing them in his Storage Bracelet and remarked in surprise, "It seems you were prepared long ago. I suppose after Byron invited you, you had the idea of obtaining the White Bone Ghost Lotus."
Eve huffed in annoyance, casting him a flirtatious glance as she mocked, "When benefits are right in front of you, if you don't take it seriously and try to seize it, would you be willing if it were you?"
Shaking his head with a smile, he didn't respond. He picked up the Long-Range Detector again to observe the movements in the North and South. In his view, a dense mass of Two-Headed Lizards was gathering there, their roars echoing. Through the gaps, he could faintly see some figures, but what stood out most were the brilliant rays of light emanating from those figures, illuminating half of the surroundings.
