Wilderness Ruins is the place with the most natural treasures in the Holy Light Secret Realm, but it is also one of the most dangerous areas ravaged by magical beasts. 0

Bu and Arno have plundered their way here, reaping considerable rewards. They agreed to split their gains in a three-to-seven ratio, with Bu receiving more, resulting in a score of 9 points, placing him twenty-second, while Arno has 161 points, ranking sixty-ninth. 0

Since the trial began, more than half of the time has passed. This trial area has no day or night, and as time flows, the surroundings have become quite dim. Before darkness falls, the two cautiously found a place to rest at the edge of the Wilderness Ruins. 0

"I'll keep watch tonight; you can focus on your cultivation. After several intense battles today, you must be quite exhausted," Arno said, skillfully scattering some magical beast dung around them while turning to Bu, who was observing him with interest. 0

Hearing this, Bu smiled and shook his head. He looked at the surrounding ruins piled haphazardly, with weeds poking through the cracks, giving off a sense of desolation that felt oppressive. 0

"There’s no need for such trouble. Since you've already used the dung to mask our scent, we shouldn't attract too much attention from the magical beasts at night. Moreover, within a fifty-zhang radius, nothing can escape my perception. I'm not afraid of people coming; I'm only worried about them not coming." 0

His calm tone carried immense confidence as Bu sat down on the ground, slowly closing his eyes to silently refine the energy within him. 0

"What an arrogant Fellow," Arno thought to himself upon seeing Bu's demeanor. Then he tilted his head and smiled inexplicably. "But having such a powerful partner is indeed a blessing." 0

Finding a clean spot beside Bu, Arno took out two pieces of Azure Jade and held them in his hands before quickly entering a state of cultivation. 0

Since Bu spoke with such confidence, it was clear he wasn't just boasting. With no need for a night watch, Arno was happy to relax and seize the opportunity to cultivate. 0

The Earth Power within the Holy Light Secret Realm is far denser than that of the Holy Light Academy, making one day of cultivation here equivalent to a hundred days elsewhere. At night, when magical beasts are even more ferocious than during the day and predators roam in packs, it is clearly unsuitable to move around freely; they could only lie low and wait for dawn. Thus, Arno was unwilling to waste this precious time for cultivation. 0

Meanwhile, at the front square of the Holy Light Academy, it was brightly lit and bustling with activity. A massive cubic Light Barrier displayed thrilling battle scenes that captivated everyone present. 0

Those who came to watch this trial were not ordinary individuals; each possessed some level of strength. Even if they had been awake for three consecutive days and nights, it was still an impressive feat. 0

Among this crowd, Kalandor and others gathered together. The usually somewhat melancholic Wendy had rarely stepped out of her house and stood among them, surrounded by people. 0

"Madam, it's not me bragging; you should have seen how formidable our master was today! He soared straight up! When he strikes, it's like thunder! In my opinion, our master will undoubtedly be first in this trial. Only someone as handsome and imposing as him deserves you!" 0

Amidst the noisy crowd, Ivan spoke in a fawning tone while gesturing animatedly towards Wendy, who was covering her mouth and giggling softly, drawing glances from those around them. 0

"Stop embarrassing yourself here; Sister Wendy doesn't have such thick skin," Kalandor said as he noticed the stares from others and saw that Wendy was blushing with embarrassment. He quickly kicked Ivan, who was still rambling on. 0

After being kicked squarely, Ivan let out an exaggerated yelp of pain, and his words were caught in his throat. Just then, a sudden commotion erupted from ahead, capturing everyone's attention as they turned to see something flash on one side of the cubic Light Barrier. 0

Upon seeing a figure flash across that screen within the Light Barrier, Kalandor and others exclaimed in surprise: "Reynold!". 0

Gordon's pupils contracted, and in silence, he gasped in shock as he witnessed the figure within the Light Barrier. The person's disheveled state resembled that of a lost dog. Despite being surrounded by lightning, which seemed formidable, the numerous gruesome wounds on their body and the four figures behind them, grinning like demons as they pursued, made it clear that Reynold was facing a dire situation. 0

"This Fellow is finished. Being hunted by Yan Tai Luo and his gang, he will either die or lose his qualification for the trial." 0

"What a pity. This junior's strength seems decent, and he has cultivated a Thunder-type Mental Technique. If it weren't for this unexpected turn of events, he should have ranked in the top fifty." 0

"I know him; his name is Reynold. He is close to Brent, and Yan Tai Luo and his group are about to join Day's reserve members. Brent offended Senior Kaibo, so those around him won't have a good outcome either." 0

Among the crowd, some recognized the identities of the four pursuing Reynold and shook their heads in lament. 0

"Hmph." At the seats of the top Star Students, Kaibo chuckled lightly, casting a discreet glance at Bin, who sat with his eyes closed. A cold glint flashed briefly in his eyes. 0

"Whoever offends me will pay the price," he thought to himself, his gaze growing colder as he recalled the orders he had given to Yan Tai Luo and others before the trial began, along with the precious gifts he had bestowed upon them. He couldn't help but feel pleased, as if he could already envision Reynold's tragic end during the trial. 0

"Damn it!" Seeing Reynold unable to evade and getting injured again from another round of attacks by the four behind him, Amy Silverfang clenched her teeth, fury rising in her eyes. 0

She was from the Thunderous Merchant Guild and had always regarded Reynold as her young master, treating him with respect. Over time, they had developed a deep friendship, and she considered him like an older brother. Hearing the discussions in the crowd and witnessing Reynold's current plight filled her with hatred towards Day. 0

"Where are the others now? What should we do? Is our second really going to be eliminated this time?" Kalandor stomped his feet anxiously. He wasn't worried about Reynold's life being in danger; after all, with the Guide Stone in hand, as long as it was crushed, Reynold would be safe. However, someone as proud as Reynold would be devastated if eliminated from this trial. Kalandor could easily guess how much that would hurt him. 0

Awooo! 0

The darkness was thick as ink, filled with howls and roars—a terrifying unknown territory on the way to Wilderness Ruins. Yet at this moment, Reynold had no time to consider anything else. 0

Run! 0

That was his only thought now—a thought that filled him with immense humiliation. He had no time to choose a path or assess whether it was safe ahead; he could only summon his fastest Speed to escape from those relentless pursuers behind him. 0

He absolutely could not fall before reuniting with his companions; that was their unspoken agreement—the path he must take. His pride would not allow him to be eliminated early in this trial. He needed to see it through to the end; at least he wanted to see his brothers' backs rather than receiving comforting gazes from all his companions after failure. 0

"Ahhh!" Energy surged violently throughout his body as Reynold's anger flared. Lightning coursed around him as he suddenly halted mid-sprint, spun around sharply, and struck out with a blade like a thunderclap! 0

"Get lost!" 0

This was Reynold's all-out strike aimed at one of the tall men approaching with a sinister grin. He swung down fiercely! 0

"Looking for death!" The man laughed even more wickedly. With a Flying Swallow Blade in hand fluttering like a butterfly, he did not meet Reynold's powerful strike head-on but instead twisted his wrist. The agile Flying Swallow Blade coiled up like a snake amidst clashing sounds of metal—sparks flying and arcs of electricity dancing—quickly dissipating Reynold's attack power. In that instant, the clever Flying Swallow Blade flickered with blue light before spinning out rapidly toward Reynold's throat. 0

In a moment of crisis, Reynold remained calm despite the shock. He suddenly leaned back to evade a sharp strike, but in the next instant, an attack from another person on his right was already closing in. He had no strength left to dodge this blow. The glimmering cold light of the Sword Aura made it clear that if he were hit, he would surely lose all his fighting capability. 0

"Have I really reached the end of this trial?" In his eyes, the Sword Aura continued to grow larger. In his ears, he could only hear the sinister laughter of his enemies. A bitter smile spread across Reynold's lips. 0

He was unwilling to accept defeat at this point. In his palm, the Guide Stone, which represented hope, was tightly clenched, drenched in sweat. With just a bit more force, it would shatter. Yet at this moment, he felt as if he had lost all his strength; he could not crush the Guide Stone. If he did, it would mean crushing his heart and his path of battle entirely within this trial. 0

Should he choose life or choose to fight? 0

Should he stubbornly press on even unto death, or should he retreat wisely? 0

Should he give up the trial and allow the gap between himself and his brothers to widen once more, or should he hold his head high and push through to the end, fighting for glory and challenging the limits between life and death? 0

"What should I choose? If it were him, what would he choose? If it were him..." 0

Reynold's gaze became somewhat hazy as memories flooded back. He recalled Bu and their first battle together—Bu's frenzied demeanor, covered in blood with bones protruding from his body. Yet in his eyes burned an unquenchable fighting spirit. It was in that madness that Reynold had first admitted defeat; it was the first time he had lost! 0

"If it were him... if I were him!" 0
