Chapter 31: You Are Much More Important Than Her
Inside the police station, Wang Hailong and others had returned. Upon hearing the news, He Jun once again visited the interrogation room, looking at the person named Liu Xiaofei in front of him. This person was not unfamiliar to him; he was Wang Guodong's brother-in-law, who had been brought in multiple times before, but nothing ever came of it.
When Liu Xiaolong realized it was He Jun interrogating him, he immediately understood and sneered, "He Jun, this is revenge! I want to see your Director Wang."

"Hmph, what law have I broken that you want to arrest me? Can I not even eat? If you have evidence, just charge me directly; there's no need for all this talk." Liu Xiaofei was fearless, confident that this time would be like the previous ones, or even more reassuring. He hadn't done anything this time before being arrested, and once his brother-in-law learned of it, he would definitely come to bail him out.

"And what about you?" He Jun asked excitedly, veins bulging on his forehead like twisted roots. "Is it normal for you to repeatedly escape legal punishment? Do you still think you'll get out this time?"
"I will never let a lawbreaker go free! Since you can escape, then I’ll take action first to vent the anger for those you've harmed!" He Jun's words and his predatory gaze deeply intimidated Liu Xiaolong. He believed that He Jun would continue to attack him; that feeling was truly unbearable.
He was no longer stubborn, but he also did not cooperate. As long as he held on to something, He Jun would not succeed. When his brother-in-law came to rescue him, everything would be turned upside down, and at that time, he could take his revenge.
He Jun was well aware of Liu Xiaolong's thoughts; he had already made preparations. He specifically instructed that when they captured Liu Xiaolong, they should put a hood over his head and discreetly take him to the interrogation room. However, the bureau was filled with Wang Guodong's people, and it was only a matter of time before they found out. Now, this was the beginning of a tug-of-war between both parties. It all depended on whether he or Wang Guodong would act faster.

Zhang Qiu had just served a piece of tender grilled meat to Wang Jinghan when her phone rang. Wang Jinghan glanced at it and answered.
"Grandma, yes. I'll be back soon; don't worry. Yes, it's nothing; I'm having dinner with friends. Don't worry, I'll be back quickly..."
After hanging up the phone, Wang Jinghan said to Zhang Qiu, "Was that your grandma calling?"
Wang Jinghan nodded and stood up apologetically. "You two enjoy your meal; I need to head home first; otherwise, my grandma will get anxious."
Zhang Qiu hurriedly stood up and said to Liu Fangfei, "Liu Journalist, I'm sorry. I can't stay with you; I need to take her home."
Wang Jinghan, being someone who had experience in society, quickly said, "I can go home by myself; you two continue chatting." She understood that some people—especially those who needed others to do things for them—could be quite peculiar and nitpicky; even a slight oversight could lead them to turn hostile. She feared that if Zhang Qiu accompanied her home, it might upset Liu Fangfei and affect Zhang Qiu's plans.
Liu Fangfei readily stood up and said, "It's fine; you two go ahead. I'm also getting ready to leave; I need to write an article later."
"Then we'll be leaving now. Call me if you need anything," Zhang Qiu said with a smile.
"Okay."
"Let's go, I'll take you home," Zhang Qiu said to Wang Jinghan. After they had walked a short distance, Wang Jinghan finally spoke up, "You shouldn't have come to see me off. At this point, you should be spending more time with her."
Zhang Qiu smiled and replied, "You're much more important than her."
Wang Jinghan felt a warmth in her heart, but her expression remained calm as she responded, "Oh!"
When they reached the side of the road, Zhang Qiu asked, "Are you going straight home, or are you going back to the hospital to get the Electric Vehicle?"
Wang Jinghan thought for a moment and said, "I'll go back to the hospital. I need to ride it to work tomorrow. Plus, if I don't bring the Electric Vehicle home, my grandmother will definitely ask me about it."
