"Is it possible? How do you plan to get in?"
"Well," Zhang Qiu gently patted Lan Ningshan's slender waist and smiled, "you need to get off me."
Lan Ningshan's face turned slightly red as she placed her legs on the ground and withdrew her arms. Zhang Qiu took Lan Ningshan's hand and stood up, saying, "Follow me."
Lan Ningshan was startled, thinking Zhang Qiu intended to force his way in. There was only one staircase leading to the second floor, guarded by a tattooed muscular man. Other than forcing their way through, Lan Ningshan couldn't think of another way. Just as she was about to stop Zhang Qiu from this reckless idea, she realized he wasn't taking her to the staircase but was instead heading toward the main entrance they had come through.
Lan Ningshan halted and asked, "What’s going on? Are you leaving?"
"Trust me."
Zhang Qiu didn't elaborate further. Looking into his serious eyes, Lan Ningshan steeled herself and followed him. As soon as they stepped out the door, Wang Hailong's voice came through the earpiece with a question: "How did you get out? Did you figure it out that quickly?"
After walking a short distance, Lan Ningshan replied, "Not yet. We can't get close."
"Then go back and continue waiting for an opportunity. Don't give up easily. No one is allowed to come out without my orders."
This was the first time Zhang Qiu had seen Wang Hailong so stern; he couldn't believe he wasn't allowed to come out without orders. Zhang Qiu didn't have such high awareness; staying inside meant waiting foolishly, and even if they waited all night, they wouldn't get in. In the end, it would be a wasted effort. Therefore, rather than waiting idly, he preferred to try another method.
"Captain Wang, bringing Sister Lan out was my idea."
"Zhang Qiu, have you forgotten what I taught you? Obey orders and follow commands. Your role in this operation is crucial; you must prioritize the collective over personal heroism!"
"Captain Wang, I just want to ask one question: with so many excellent comrades in the police station, why did you specifically choose me for this?"
Wang Hailong was momentarily taken aback; he hadn't expected Zhang Qiu to ask that question. It wasn't that he couldn't answer but rather that he had chosen Zhang Qiu after careful consideration. Wang Hailong directly explained the reason to Zhang Qiu.
"Because you know the underworld best and understand people like Chen Hu's habits and ways of doing things. Although our comrades have rich investigative experience, unfortunately, they have failed multiple times to locate where they are hiding." Wang Hailong spoke quickly due to his anxiety and almost mentioned the term 'gangster,' but fortunately corrected himself in time.
Zhang Qiu did not mind Wang Hailong's choice of words and simply said, "Since you've entrusted this to me, please trust me and agree with my approach. I'm not stepping back; I'm just thinking differently, okay?"
"What kind of thinking?"
"I'm not sure yet, but you have to promise me," Zhang Qiu said while surveying the surroundings.
Wang Hailong found himself in a dilemma. According to the arrangements made during the action meeting, it was supposed to be Zhang Qiu and Lan Ningshan who entered Azure Blue Rose and waited, with the option to cut the power if necessary. However, before Wang Hailong could contact the power company to cut the electricity, Zhang Qiu took the initiative to withdraw with Lan Ningshan. Now that Zhang Qiu proposed to proceed according to his own ideas, as the leader of the operation team, should he agree?
"Alright, I promise you!" Wang Hailong made a difficult decision.
"Great, that's all I needed to hear."
Zhang Qiu smiled and held Lan Ningshan's hand as they walked along the roadside, lingering in front of various street stalls, occasionally glancing around like any ordinary couple out for a stroll in the evening.
Lan Ningshan continued to intimately link her arm with Zhang Qiu's right arm. Seeing Zhang Qiu lingering at the stalls without understanding what he intended to do, she asked, "Zhang Qiu, have you noticed anything?"

"Don't look around, just go shopping with me." Qiu Wan symbolically kissed Lan Ningshan on the ear and naturally took her hand to stroll.
Zhang Qiu cautiously surveyed the surroundings. After confirming that no one was paying attention to them, he continued, "My plan is to go in directly from the second floor. The fire at White Day Fire inspired me a lot. By using curtains and other things that can be tied into ropes, I can get into the second floor directly, which means we can avoid the guards. It's summer now, and all the windows are open, so everything is in our favor."
Lan Ningshan's mind was still blank. Was what Zhang Qiu just did considered a kiss? If it was, he barely touched her; if it wasn't, then it clearly was a kiss. Did Zhang Qiu do this out of professional concern that she might attract attention by looking around, or was it out of personal desire to kiss her? Zhang Qiu explained again in a low voice, and Lan Ningshan praised him, "That's indeed a good idea. Have you decided where to enter?"
"From there!"
Zhang Qiu pointed with his eyes toward a direction. Rui Rui looked over; it was a hotel that was one story taller than Azure Blue Rose. Going down from the third-floor window would lead them right onto the roof of Blue Enchantress Building, close enough that they wouldn't even need a rope.
Lan Ningshan felt a breakthrough in their plan and almost jumped up in excitement, exclaiming, "Then let's hurry over!"
"Hey, not so fast!" Zhang Qiu held back the eager Lan Ningshan and spoke through the earpiece to Wang Hailong, who was commanding from afar: "Captain Wang, I've come up with a plan, and now I urgently need your help."
"Okay, you just tell me what to do, and I'll cooperate fully as long as I can."
"Captain Wang, you can definitely do this. I need you to reimburse me for the hotel expenses for Sister Lan and me."
"Hotel expenses? What hotel expenses?"
"The room fee."
"What!" Wang Hailong shouted into the earpiece. "Zhang Qiu, what are you talking about?"
"Captain Wang, don't get excited. Just listen to me slowly. Do you see the hotel next to Azure Blue Rose?"
"I see it."
"The man in the Plaid Shirt went up to the second floor, and there are guards at the stairs, so we can't go up. Therefore, the only way is to go directly to the second floor. The third floor of the hotel is directly opposite the top of the Blue Enchantress Building; that's my breakthrough point."
"Climbing up?" Wang Hailong was taken aback. Zhang Qiu's training did not include climbing, and if something went wrong, how would he explain it to Director He?
"Yes, climbing up. That's the only option we have now."
Wang Hailong hesitated; it was indeed a good idea, but sending Zhang Qiu to do it seemed too risky.

"Alright!" Wang Hailong made his decision, which was harder than agreeing to let Zhang Qiu take the initiative before. Perhaps agreeing to let Zhang Qiu take charge back then was a mistake.
"You all must be careful; unless absolutely necessary, do not fire your weapons."
Zhang Qiu exclaimed, "There are still guns?"
"I have one," Rui Rui replied.
Zhang Qiu protested through the earpiece to Wang Hailong, "Why am I not issued a firearm for the same mission? I've trained for this."
"There’s nothing we can do; giving you a gun doesn’t comply with regulations, but Officer Blue can carry one. She will protect you."
"Fine, fine." Zhang Qiu thought to himself that he had a gun anyway. If they didn’t issue one, so be it. When danger truly arose, he wouldn’t care about regulations; when it was time to act, he would act, and when it was time to shoot, he would shoot.
"Wang Hailong" finally said, "I will reimburse the expenses for both of you. Have a good time, ugh! I wish you success."
"Zhang Qiu" and "Lan Ningshan" exchanged glances and held hands as they walked towards the hotel.
This was a very ordinary budget hotel. "Zhang Qiu" still remembered that when "Director Chen" had just initiated a large-scale demolition and construction project in "Beilan County," this hotel had briefly been torn down by excavators. After enduring the couple's antics, "Zhang Qiu" and "Lan Ningshan" stood at the front desk holding hands. "Zhang Qiu" said, "We would like a room on the third floor facing west."
The receptionist glanced up at the customer making such an unusual request and noticed he was quite handsome. The words that were about to come out of her mouth changed instantly to "No problem." However, upon seeing "Lan Ningshan" standing next to "Zhang Qiu," her expression noticeably darkened, but she still smiled sweetly and said, "Please show me your identification."
"Zhang Qiu" took out his ID card, and the receptionist quickly processed the check-in procedures after taking it. After handing over the room key and breakfast voucher, she smiled and said, "Please keep your room key and meal voucher safe. Breakfast starts at seven o'clock in the restaurant on the first floor, and please check out at the front desk before noon."
"Thank you."
"Zhang Qiu" gave a polite smile to the receptionist, tucked away the room key and meal voucher, and walked toward the elevator. The receptionist watched as "Zhang Qiu" and "Lan Ningshan" nestled together, muttering to herself, "Underage guests checking into a hotel."
