At eight o'clock in the evening, as night fell, Zhang Qiu appeared in the bustling area of the South District. Amidst the dazzling lights, a brightly colored building stood out more than any other, which was the frequent haunt of Sister Hua—the Shuiyun Entertainment Club. Meanwhile, Yang Yu and Gao Zhi each led two teams scattered around, keeping a close watch on their surroundings. A black sedan parked outside the entertainment club, where Jiang Xue, Zhao Pingchuan, and Rui Rui peered out through the car windows.
Zhang Qiu approached the Shuiyun Entertainment Club, and a technician inside the glass door immediately opened it and bowed, saying, "Welcome." The technician wore a tight white shirt with the buttons undone, revealing a hint of a full chest. From Zhang Qiu's perspective, everything was in plain view, prompting him to quickly avert his gaze.
"Handsome, do you need any services? We have..." the receptionist asked warmly, her lightly made-up face adorned with a sweet smile.
"I’m here to see Sister Hua."
"You are...?" The receptionist froze for a moment, sizing up Zhang Qiu.
"My name is Zhang Qiu."
The receptionist gasped in surprise and immediately said, "Please follow me."
Zhang Qiu followed the receptionist as she turned a corner and ascended the stairs, the strong scent of perfume stimulating his nostrils. The receptionist walked with an alluring gait, her slender waist twisting with each step, her curvy hips tightly wrapped in a black mini skirt, and patterned black stockings clinging to her long legs.
The receptionist brought Zhang Qiu to the entrance of a private room on the second floor and smiled lightly, saying, "Please wait a moment." She knocked on the door to announce him and returned to say, "Sister Hua invites you in."
Zhang Qiu nodded slightly and pushed the door open. The room was dimly lit, with purple lighting creating an atmosphere that was both ambiguous and cool. On one side of the sofa lay a slender woman; one leg stretched straight while the other was slightly bent. She held a goblet in her right hand and gently swayed it, her long black wavy hair cascading freely over her shoulders.
"Sister Hua?" Zhang Qiu approached the woman and asked softly.
The woman tilted her head slightly toward Zhang Qiu. As he got closer, he could see her heavily applied makeup. If this makeup were on an ordinary person’s face, Zhang Qiu would surely think they were crazy or lacking any sense of beauty while feeling overly confident. However, on Sister Hua's face, it could only be described as enhancing her beauty. Sister Hua's aura complemented her makeup perfectly; her melancholic gaze paired with an alluring expression made Zhang Qiu's heart race. Looking at Sister Hua, Zhang Qiu thought she was undoubtedly beautiful and even recalled images of seductive women he had seen before.
"Have a seat," Sister Hua coldly uttered two words as she sat up from the sofa. One leg remained bent while her arm casually rested on it; she continued to sway her drink in hand and glanced past Zhang Qiu. "You are Zhang Qiu; indeed impressive for your age."
"Sister Hua, you flatter me." Zhang Qiu sat down across from Sister Hua, glancing through the thin lace dress she wore, where shadows flickered between her legs.
Sister Hua flashed a seductive smile and handed a glass to Zhang Qiu, saying, "Drink this, and then we can talk business."
Without hesitation, Zhang Qiu took the glass and downed it in one go, gently placing the empty glass on the intricately carved Tea Table. He smiled and asked, "Can we talk now?"
"Are you not afraid I might have put something in the drink?"
"And are you not afraid that I might be carrying a gun?"
Zhang Qiu and Sister Hua sized each other up, both smiling.
"What do you want from me?" Sister Hua shifted her position on the sofa, her black wavy hair covering half of her face.
"I called for Sister Hua mainly to discuss future cooperation. I wonder if Sister Hua is interested?" Zhang Qiu got straight to the point without beating around the bush.
"Whether I'm interested depends on whether you can convince me." Though Sister Hua appeared casual, Zhang Qiu felt a chill.
"Currently, with the Stone Dagger Gang and Lin Tao Gang both falling apart, only you and I have the strength to dominate Beilan County. Before this, there has been no friction between Hall Society and Sister Hua, and I hope it remains that way. Sister Hua is a smart person and naturally understands the current situation. I don't want to escalate things unnecessarily. Instead of both sides suffering losses in a futile struggle, why not join forces to prosper together?"
"Everyone in this world knows that Hall Society values loyalty above all. What’s this? Is the leader of Hall Society starting to talk about money now?"
"Isn't money something that Sister Hua likes?"
"Haha..." A light laugh escaped from Sister Hua, her hands casually tossing her hair back, exuding an alluring charm. "So how do you propose we unite? You’re not thinking of swallowing me up, are you, Brother Qiu?"
"Of course not..." As soon as Zhang Qiu spoke, Sister Hua suddenly got up from the sofa, leaned in close to Zhang Qiu, and placed her delicate finger against his lips, smiling, "You can swallow it; it just depends on whether you have the appetite."
Sister Hua smiled seductively, her long hair intentionally or unintentionally brushing against Zhang Qiu's cheek. Zhang Qiu held his breath, maintaining an awkward posture with Sister Hua, as a captivating fragrance filled the air—one that was distinctly different from perfume, emanating directly from the enchanting figure before him.
"Give me a reason why you chose to collaborate with me?"
"I like your personality."
"My personality? What personality do I have?"
"Deep, confident, brave—like a thorny rose, like a hibernating venomous snake."
"Anything else?"
"You're a beauty."
Sister Hua chuckled softly, reaching out to lift Zhang Qiu's chin, gazing at him with sultry eyes. She whispered, "You like my personality, but I like you as a person."
Zhang Qiu calmly looked into Sister Hua's eyes and asked, "What does Sister Hua want?"
"It's not what I want; it's what you want to do with me." Sister Hua lowered her head and gently blew into Zhang Qiu's ear. "I just mentioned it; you can swallow it; it just depends on whether you have the appetite."
Zhang Qiu's eyes were obscured by Sister Hua's cascading hair. He felt her soft palm pressing against his chest, an inexplicable restlessness surging through him. Suddenly, Zhang Qiu wrapped his arms around Sister Hua, pulling her into an embrace as they both fell onto the sofa. Sister Hua let out a playful whine and wrapped herself around Zhang Qiu. "Spend the night with me, and I'll promise you anything."
"Is there a bed in the room?" Zhang Qiu asked.
Sister Hua reached out and pointed to the side, whispering sweetly in Zhang Qiu's ear, "I didn't expect the leader of Hall Society to be so traditional."
Zhang Qiu lowered his head and smiled without saying a word, lifting Sister Hua and carrying her to one side of the room, gently laying her down on the bed. Sister Hua's eyes sparkled with fiery passion as she tightly grasped Zhang Qiu's wrists. Zhang Qiu chuckled lightly, releasing her wrists and softly said, "It's getting late, Sister Hua. Sleep now, good night."
Qiu Wan turned to leave when a pillow suddenly flew toward Zhang Qiu. He dodged to the side, his gaze colliding with Sister Hua's resentful eyes.
"Zhang Qiu, you jerk!"
"If something really happened between us, that would be the real jerk move."
Zhang Qiu turned to leave again, but Sister Hua called out, "Wait a moment!"
Sister Hua angrily got off the bed. When Zhang Qiu turned around, he found that Sister Hua appeared even cuter now. She stood directly opposite him, almost pressed against him, her eyes shining with intense light.
"As long as I, Sister Hua, am here, my people will not have any conflicts with Hall Society."
"As long as I, Zhang Qiu, am here, Hall Society will never have any conflicts with Sister Hua."
After Sister Hua made her statement, Zhang Qiu quickly followed suit, raising his right hand in the air. Sister Hua playfully patted Zhang Qiu's hand, which he then grasped tightly, smiling as he said, "Pleasure working together."
Sister Hua nodded slightly and pulled her hand away from Zhang Qiu's grasp, returning to her previous demeanor. Zhang Qiu had intended to tease her with a suggestion of a hug but decided against it at the last moment; it was better not to provoke her.
Negotiating with Sister Hua went more smoothly than Zhang Qiu had imagined. He believed that while considering the relationship between Hall Society and Sister Hua, she must have had similar thoughts. By taking the initiative to approach today, he merely broke through the thin barrier between them, transforming their mutual understanding into a formal partnership.
As Zhang Qiu walked downstairs, he noticed that the technician by the door had changed. Another alluring beauty stood behind the glass door and opened it for him. He walked straight to the black sedan parked at the corner of the street. The door opened from inside, and after he got in, the car drove away. From a window on the second floor of Shuiyun Entertainment Club, Sister Hua gazed intently in the direction where Zhang Qiu had disappeared and murmured to herself, "Zhang Qiu, you truly are extraordinary."
Inside the car, Zhang Qiu, Comrade Yang Yu, and others were retreating. Jiang Xue asked, "Is everything going smoothly?"
"Very smoothly. Sister Hua and I have reached a consensus to maintain cooperation and not infringe upon each other."
"Oh," Jiang Xue suddenly leaned closer to Zhang Qiu, "What is that scent on you?"
"It's the scent of Sister Hua."
Zhang Qiu told Jiang Xue everything that had happened in Sister Hua's private room without holding back. Zhao Pingchuan, sitting in the passenger seat, was secretly alarmed. Brother Qiu, this isn't honesty; it's foolishness. Isn't this just asking for trouble with your sister-in-law? To Zhao Pingchuan's surprise, Jiang Xue didn't get angry. Instead, she tightly embraced Zhang Qiu and said, "I want to leave my scent on you."
Zhang Qiu felt a pang in his heart and gently stroked Jiang Xue's back, saying, "Okay!"
After returning to White Day Fire, Zhang Qiu informed every hall master about the collaboration with Sister Hua, instructing them to relay the message to every brother. Considering Lucia's arrival, Zhang Qiu temporarily transferred the headquarters to Fire Cicada under Jiang Xue's name. With Yang Yu and Rui Rui stationed at White Day Fire, Zhang Qiu felt very reassured; however, Rui Rui wasn't as happy.
In stark contrast, the sisters Taolengman and Tao Ya were overjoyed. Zhang Qiu, Jiang Xue, and Lucia were inseparable except when using the restroom. Lucia kept asking questions from a language book by Tao Ya. The beautiful receptionist who once looked down on Zhang Qiu was now treating him cautiously and seizing every opportunity to be attentive. However, Zhang Qiu's mind was entirely on Jiang Xue and he didn't notice anything amiss.
