Yun Tianmo suddenly struck, a wave of Black Qi surged towards Ouyang Zixin's face.
The distance between them was too close, and Ouyang Zixin had not anticipated his sudden attack, leaving her completely unprepared.

She didn't consider this possibility and only thought about not wanting him to get hurt because of her. With her eyes closed and gritting her teeth, she tried to turn his body around to take the brunt of the Mysterious Energy herself.
Logically speaking, she lacked the strength to do so. Yet Yun Tianmo was completely unprepared; by the time he realized he needed to reverse course, it was already too late. The Black Qi struck Ouyang Zixin directly.
The anticipated pain did not come. Ouyang Zixin tightly closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact, but after waiting for a while, the pain still did not occur.
What was going on?
Since Ouyang Zixin was facing away from the Mysterious Energy, she did not see what happened. However, Yun Tianmo had a clear view—he faced the Mysterious Energy and witnessed everything unfold.
The Mysterious Energy that slithered toward Ouyang Zixin's back indeed made contact with her. But rather than an attack, it felt more like a return—a return to her body.
