The strength of the Sea Qilin left Chen Zao, who was gasping for breath, feeling somewhat frustrated.
However, soon, Chen Zao's competitive spirit was ignited.
In his view, such a powerful divine beast must possess incredibly potent Beast Oil!

He initially intended to start from the Sea Qilin's abdomen, thinking there might be a navel or some soft area like a steel door to cut into. To his surprise, this divine beast had no steel door and lacked even reproductive organs! The underside was completely covered in golden-patterned soft armor, leaving no place to make an incision.
After circling the Sea Qilin several times, he finally discovered a small opening on its back that was quite inconspicuous.

From its dark golden lung sacs, he extracted an Energy Core about the size of an ostrich egg, covered in a layer of golden light.
Without pausing, after retrieving one Energy Core, Chen Zao dissected further into the Sea Qilin's body to see if there were any additional Energy Cores. Unfortunately, despite being a divine beast, it only contained one Energy Core.
After all that effort, Chen Zao found the Sea Qilin's body too cumbersome and decided not to store it in his storage space. Instead, he dragged it to a hollow area and set it ablaze until it turned into black smoke!
"Wow... that's a lot of smoke. This thing won't produce Toxic Vapor, will it?"
Watching the rising black smoke transform into a soaring black dragon, Chen Zao felt a shadow in his heart.
He decided not to think too much about it; let whatever happen, happen. He could not let a mere illusion dictate the course of his future.
He needed to carve out his own path, and no one could stop him!
By a stream, Chen Zao cleaned the shimmering golden Energy Core belonging to Sea Qilin, then took out a set of Heat-Insulated Distillation Furnace specifically designed for refining Beast Oil from his storage space. He placed the Energy Core inside for high-temperature heating while using a vessel to collect the precious distilled Beast Oil.
Typically, an ordinary Energy Core would produce Beast Oil after burning for one or two minutes in a thermal cooker, yielding just over 1 milliliter of Beast Oil per core. Larger Energy Cores would produce even more.
Chen Zao had never seen an Energy Core as large as Sea Qilin's Ostrich Egg-sized one. He thought this core would yield a significant amount of Beast Oil and even switched to a larger beaker at the oil outlet.
After burning for a full minute, however, not a single drop of Beast Oil had been extracted from the Thermal Cooker.
"What’s going on? Is it possible that this ordinary Thermal Cooker can't extract divine-grade Beast Oil?"
Just as Chen Zao was about to turn off the Thermal Cooker to investigate further, a Golden Crystal the size of a sesame seed suddenly bounced out of the oil outlet.
This object resembled an enlarged electron, moving in an erratic trajectory.
Despite its small size, the Crystal emitted an extremely dazzling golden light that was almost impossible to look at directly, resembling a miniature sun.
Chen Zao's tiger-like eyes had been enhanced, yet upon seeing this exceptionally radiant Crystal, he still had to squint several times.
The Crystal landed in the beaker and continued to bounce around. Chen Zao hurriedly covered the beaker with its lid to prevent the Crystal from jumping out.
Lifting the beaker, Chen Zao carefully observed the "sun" that was constantly jumping around inside. He suddenly recalled hearing someone talk during the apocalypse about possessing a Super Energy Core that could produce Beast Oil made from Mutated Crystals, rather than liquid Beast Oil.
This type of Mutated Crystal could alter the genetic makeup of ordinary people, granting them related attributes of Superpowers, thus making them as powerful as Abnormal Humans.
Such mutated Energy Cores were extremely rare and precious in the apocalypse.
The shimmering Crystal before him appeared to be the highest grade of Mutated Crystal!
Consuming it could grant Superpowers!
Recalling what the Golden Figure had said about consuming Beast Oil from the Sea Qilin, which would give him a Lightning Right Arm capable of sweeping through the apocalypse, Chen Zao felt a surge of excitement!
Faced with this coveted power, Chen Zao's heart raced with anticipation, wishing he could consume it immediately.
However, he was also worried that eating it directly might have adverse effects.
What if his body couldn't handle such a powerful energy Crystal and he ended up vomiting it out? That would be such a waste.

Chen Zao shook the beaker of Medicinal Liquor in front of him, trying to dissolve the Crystal, but no matter how much he shook it, it wouldn't dissolve. This type of Crystal was not as easily diluted as ordinary Beast Oil.
The throbbing pain in his Right Arm made Chen Zao increasingly agitated.
He couldn't wait any longer; he decided to consume it directly!
Whether he lived or died depended on it!
With his mind clouded by the Golden Figure's influence, Chen Zao was not as composed as usual. He steeled himself and poured the Medicinal Liquor containing the glowing Crystal into his mouth.
To his surprise, that Crystal actually discharged electricity! It infused the Medicinal Liquor with a powerful current, and this sip of "Electric Wine" nearly numbed Chen Zao's tongue with electricity!
"Ah~~~~!"
The intense stinging sensation made Chen Zao's entire mouth tremble!
He could distinctly feel that the Crystal was wildly jumping in his mouth, like a fishbone thrashing around, threatening to pierce through his oral cavity!
