"Get lost!" Xia Muxin was already exhausted from being tormented by the Golden Python. She felt a mess, her whole body ached, and her mood was naturally not great. Yet, You Shi didn't know when to stop and added fuel to the fire. Instantly, she shot a cold glare at the mother and daughter before speaking in a chilling tone.
"Xia Muxin, have you gone mad? How dare you speak to my mother like that? Is my mother wrong? If you don't have the ability, stop trying to seduce people everywhere. Let me tell you, Liulang belongs to my Zhou Guilian. Look at yourself; you're not even worth a glance. Pfft."
Zhou Guilian and her sisters, along with Zhou Yousheng and some uncles and their children, had been in the county for a few days and just returned yesterday. This morning, her sister came looking for her, and the whole family was excitedly heading back home when they unexpectedly ran into this poor wretch named Jinx.
After a few days apart, Xia Muxin had grown some backbone. She used to be too afraid to even look at Zhou Guilian directly, let alone shout at her. Seeing this weakling who usually cowered beneath her feet now yelling back made Zhou Guilian's face change instantly. She pointed a finger at Xia Muxin's nose and unleashed a torrent of insults, finishing off with a loud spit.
Zhou Guilian and her daughter regarded the Summer Forest duo as if they were mere ants.

Summer Forest had initially feared the mother-daughter duo since they had the Wang family backing them. However, seeing Zhou Guilian about to strike Xia Muxin made him frown and reach out to push Xia Muxin away.

Just as his hand reached out, he grasped at nothing but air. A crisp sound echoed as Summer Forest looked up in concern only to hear Zhou Guilian's sharp and piercing scream ring out:
“Xia Muxin, you shameless scoundrel! Since you dare to hit me, and I didn't sell you last time, you've grown some guts. Just wait until I beat you to death!”
Zhou Guilian covered her bruised face with one hand, her eyes bloodshot with rage, glaring like a ghost in the night. She cursed and charged at Zhaoxia Muxin.
“This is how the Xia Family raises their children? Disrespectful to their elders, looking like a beggar! No wonder you've lived half your life in a mere Thatched Cottage!” Mrs. You was furious to see her precious daughter being attacked, pointing at Summer Forest and unleashing a torrent of insults.
A cold glint flashed in Xia Muxin's eyes as she deftly sidestepped, causing Zhou Guilian to miss her target and crash into a nearby tree. Stars exploded in her vision, and with a rush of metallic taste, thick liquid began to trickle down her forehead.
“Ah... Gui Lian, you... you’re bleeding!” Mrs. You screamed as she saw her daughter’s eyes rolling back, her entire body frozen in a state of pained shock. She rushed over in panic.
Xia Muxin calmly glanced at the mother-daughter duo entangled together before turning to gently pat Golden Python's back and said, “If you’re willing to be my pet, I won’t sell you, but you must obey me.”
