You Were Born a Nobleman, Chapter Fifty-Eight Ahei GPS, Highly Recommended!
Before Tang Zisu and Kong Xuan could say anything, there was a commotion from the road as several hunters rushed over carrying a bloodied person. They shouted, “High Priestess, hurry and save him, he’s going to die!”
Little Fish threw down his robe, his face turning pale. “It’s over, Brother An!”
“Over my foot! That’s your father. Shu Que Wu Pan!” Jumping kicked Little Fish in the backside, and unlike their usual playful antics, this kick was serious, causing Little Fish to fall hard.
Kong Xuan and Tang Zisu rushed over and upon seeing the man’s condition, Tang Zisu turned pale and her legs went weak, slipping to the ground.
Kong Xuan supported her waist and whispered, “If you can’t bear to look, then don’t. Just stay over there.”
Tang Zisu shook her head, her delicate white face tense. “They usually take care of me; now that they’re in trouble, even if I can’t help, I should at least offer them some comfort. If I hide away, I would feel guilty for their kindness.”
Kong Xuan chuckled at her words. “What a time to think about food, little pig.”
“Little pig your sister! Stop being silly and focus on the task at hand.”
They laid the injured man on the ground. Jumping rushed forward first, raising her hand to wipe the blood from his face. “A Niu? How did you get so badly hurt?”
A Niu’s left arm was torn off at the shoulder, and half of the flesh on his chin was missing. Someone pulled back his clothing, and Tang Zisu gasped, collapsing against Kong Xuan’s shoulder. It turned out A Niu’s abdomen had been sliced open, with his heart brutally extracted.
Kong Xuan said softly, "There's no saving him; he's already dead."
The person beside him broke down in tears, stammering, "Today we went to the mountains to gather herbs, and suddenly he and Butcher Zhu disappeared. By the time we found him, it was already like this."
"My father, where is my father?" Jumping clutched the man's collar and shook him desperately.
The man's insides felt like they were about to be shaken apart by Jumping. Little Fish hurried over to hug Jumping, saying, "Jumping, calm down and listen to what they have to say."
Jumping pushed Little Fish to the ground and shouted angrily, "You don't care about my father! Get lost! I'm going to the mountains to find my father."
Kong Xuan grabbed Jumping with one hand. Jumping struggled a few times but felt as if she were tied up and unable to move. She yelled, "Let go of me!"
"Your father must have gone looking for you. We'll go with you."
As soon as Kong Xuan finished speaking, the man that Jumping was shaking quickly said, "Divine Lady can't go! The troublemaker might be a monster. We didn't even see a shadow, and look what happened already."
"Then we need to go even more. Jumping, let's go." Little Fish picked up an axe from the ground, her expression filled with an unusual determination.
Kong Xuan released Jumping and gently asked Tang Zisu, "It will be very dangerous in the mountains; do you want to go?"
"Yes, if you're not afraid, why should I be?" Tang Zisu replied decisively.
"Alright then, let Softy stay at home. Ahei, what are you waiting for? Let's go."
Ahei's massive body suddenly burst out from behind, followed closely by Softy, who said, "I'm going too."
Tang Zisu shook her head at Softy. "You stay home and help with things. Wait for us."
"No, I have to go. I can't wait any longer."
After thinking for a moment, Tang Zisu nodded. "Alright, take my arrows. Let's go."
The group of five and one wolf resolutely headed towards Peacock Mountain despite others' warnings.
The further they went into the mountain, the rougher the path became. The tall, dense treetops blocked out the sunlight, making it feel cold and eerie. Flocks of crows flew up from the depths of the forest, shrieking in a chilling manner that raised the hairs on their bodies.
Tang Zisu hugged her arms and whispered to Kong Xuan, "With such a vast Peacock Mountain, will we be able to find it?"
"Don't worry, we have Ahei."
Wow, Ahei GPS navigation is truly reliable!
The mist in the mountains grew thicker, seemingly stained with the sap of the plants, giving off an eerie green hue. As they walked among the strange peaks and rocks, Lang Ye suddenly stopped in his tracks, bristling with fur and letting out a low growl. Kong Xuan halted and shouted to everyone, "Be careful."
