You Were Born a Nobleman, Chapter Eighty-Seven: Neither of Them Wore Clothes
On this day, Tang Zisu was perched on her small bottom, munching on an apple while reading a book. She didn’t know where Kong Xuan had found the book "A Hundred Questions About Immortal Households," but she was laughing heartily at the part where Taishang Laojun liked to pick his feet while kneading an elixir. Juice from the apple sprayed onto the blanket, making her look particularly unrefined.
Suddenly, the door was opened without courtesy, and she looked up at the uninvited guest, momentarily stunned.
The newcomer was a woman with an extraordinarily beautiful face, her long purple hair slightly styled. Her skin was as delicate as jade, adorned with exquisite features: elegantly arched willow-leaf eyebrows, a refined nose, and rosy lips. Her eyes were cold and noble, devoid of any earthly warmth.
She parted the beaded curtain with her slender hands. Her tiny waist led to flowing curves above and rounded hips below, all draped in a thin layer of snow-white gauze. With each step she took, her fair and shapely thighs were visible.
A scent that could rival poison wafted into Tang Zisu's nose, causing her to sneeze uncontrollably. She watched as the beauty covered her face with her sleeve, standing there hesitantly. Tang Zisu then sat up straight and puffed out her chest slightly.
"You are the mortal that he brought back, Tang Zisu?"
The woman's words shattered Tang Zisu's earlier impression of her as a character from "Qin's Moon." Was there even a need to ask? Wasn’t she right there on his bed? Big-breasted sister, don’t say you don’t recognize me; daring to challenge me in someone else's bed—do you think you're the legitimate one or just a mistress?
Silently mocking in her mind, Tang Zisu thought that with this speed and frequency, reciting Tang Seng's Tightening Spell would be effortless. She mimicked the woman's cold stare and chose not to respond.
"Hmph, you truly are an uncultured wild girl who knows nothing about manners."
Oh please, does belittling others elevate yourself? Look at you wearing so little in this cold weather; do you think you came from a pleasure house? Even the courtesans outside aren’t as provocative as you.
Tang Zisu replied coolly, "Someone who doesn’t even know how to knock on a door can hardly have good manners."
In her mind, a little Q-version figure applauded: well said! When dealing with a vixen like Divine Horse, one must be as merciless as winter.
The woman haughtily sniffed, "Do you know who I am?"
Tang Zisu shook her head while wiping her hands on a snow-white silk scarf. "I don’t know you; I’m not a fortune teller. Am I supposed to tell you your ancestors' birthdays and fortunes?"
The woman's face twisted in anger. "Not knowing is fine; let me tell you—I am Brother Xuan's fiancée, Celestial Maiden Lijia."
Wow, that's really heavy stuff. While I'm curious if you immortals have those monthly cycles, there's no need to call it out by name thousands of times!
Lijia looked at Tang Zisu's little face, which was full of rich expressions, completely unaware that she had been ruthlessly mocked. She widened her eyes and tried to act calm, "What are you mumbling about?"
Tang Zisu finally managed to suppress her laughter and returned to her aloof demeanor. "This—big sister, auntie, grandma," Tang Zisu tried several titles but felt none were appropriate. How was she supposed to address this ancient relic who was thousands of years older than her?
Lijia was infuriated by her titles. Since ancient times, age has been a taboo for women. Tang Zisu had kicked the ball right through the opponent's legs, making them embarrass themselves in front of everyone. Seeing Lijia's face change colors like a traffic light, with cracks appearing like a mask, she felt she had turned the tables on her earlier foolishness.
"Just call me 'Fairy,' this Fairy. Please take a seat."
Lijia coldly snorted and did not sit down.
Tang Zisu felt quite displeased; didn’t she realize that snorting like that could be quite annoying?
Tang Zisu said seriously, "Fairy, from your earlier introduction, I understand your name is Celestial Maiden Lijia, but what exactly is Brother Xuan's fiancée?"
Before coming to see Tang Zisu, Lijia had heard from Mei Xiao that she was just a little fool. However, today it seemed the information was wrong; this fool was sharp-tongued and spoke in a way that was hard to understand—she was quite an impressive character.
Lijia focused all her energy to deal with this little fool in front of her. "Brother Xuan is Kong Xuan; only I can call him that. Our engagement was set hundreds of years ago; I am the one who will be officially married to him."
Tang Zisu yawned; what was going on lately? She hadn’t been getting enough sleep. Covering her mouth with her hand, she said, "Call him whatever you want; childhood sweethearts are great. Unlike me, who has to shout names and surnames all day long. If pushed too far, I just call him little bastard Old Demon."
As soon as those words came out, it was like pouring a barrel of old vinegar; the intimacy between Brother Xuan and that little bastard was self-evident. Lijia's face showed even more cracks.
Tang Zisu suddenly felt like a legitimate queen. Initially thinking this mistress had some impressive tricks up her sleeve, it turned out that despite living for thousands of years, her brain didn't match her age at all. The saying "big chest but no brains" truly held up through the ages; fortunately for herself, she was A-cup, so her IQ was even higher.
Lijia's expression changed slightly before she regained her composure. She looked down on this ordinary-looking mortal who had no charm or background whatsoever. Aside from having a face similar to that insufferable person, what could she possibly compare to herself?
Lijia sat down herself and picked up the agate Buddha's Hand from the small table to play with it. Her long fingers were beautiful like jade. Tang Zisu had to admit that this old woman was exquisite from head to toe.
Lijia lightly placed Buddha's Hand down, her charming eyes narrowed in disdain as she said, "You are just a human, living for a few decades at most. In the hands of immortals like us, that is merely a fleeting moment. When you are old and wrinkled, will he still like you? Humans and demons are on different paths. I advise you to leave him while you still can, to leave him with a good memory. Otherwise, the feeling of being abandoned is not pleasant."
Lijia struck at Tang Zisu's sore spot. This was a question she had pondered countless times, ultimately deceiving herself and living day by day, knowing she was merely a wandering soul occupying someone else's body, uncertain of when she might disappear. However, the more joy she found in being with him, the greedier she became. She never thought about eternity but wished for each day to last just a little longer. Now Lijia had poured a bucket of cold water over her, extinguishing the faint light in her stormy heart.
Tang Zisu was not one to hide her emotions; Lijia could clearly see the pain on her face and couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
Tang Zisu lowered her head, her fingers digging into her palm through the wide sleeves of her robe. When she raised her head again, her eyes were bright and determined. "Fairy, since I can only live for a few decades and those decades are just a moment for you, why can't you wait? Why come here to urge me to leave? Let me tell you, every day spent with Kong Xuan is my happiest time. Whether I am young or old is our business. You should go home and wait for that fleeting moment."
"You..." Lijia mockingly stood up from her chair and angrily walked out. Tang Zisu felt relieved as she watched her go, but unexpectedly, Lijia stopped after two steps and turned back to say, "I saved you; shouldn't you kneel down and thank me? Are mortals so ungrateful and shameless?"
Tang Zisu cursed inwardly; this woman just wouldn't stop. Did she think I would indulge her in this palace drama? If I don't show her some color, she'll never know I'm a renowned debater from M University.
"Fairy, you didn't save me for my sake. With so many people in the world, why didn't you save anyone else? You were just using me to curry favor with your Brother Xuan. Speaking of kneeling, you should be the one kneeling to me. If it weren't for my severe injuries giving you this opportunity, would your Brother Xuan be moved?"
Tang Zisu's words made Lijia tremble with anger; even her ample bosom under her thin garment seemed ready to burst like an inflated balloon. She pointed a trembling finger at Tang Zisu and said, "Do you think he likes you? If it weren't for your face being identical to that scoundrel's, he wouldn't even glance your way. I'm waiting for the day he grows tired of this counterfeit."
"Hmph, I'm waiting for that day too—to see if you have any chance of stepping into his life as a true Celestial Maiden while waiting to be a substitute for a counterfeit."
Lijia raised her hand and tore down the crystal bead curtain. The beads of various shapes clattered to the ground like tears. Lijia stepped over these tears as she walked out, crushing them underfoot.
Tang Zisu knelt down and began picking up the undamaged beads one by one in the hem of her skirt. As she collected them, tears fell from her eyes like beads—each drop hitting the back of her hand painfully.
After a while, Tang Zisu's legs went numb from squatting. She tried to stand up but felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen and fell back onto the ground. The beads from her skirt rolled onto the floor again; some things are destined to fall and cannot be picked up again.
Tang Zisu felt as if there were knives stirring inside her belly, trying to dig something out. Cold sweat dripped from her forehead as darkness began to creep into her vision.
"Mother, Mother." A child surrounded by golden light appeared before her again. His chubby little hand brushed aside the hair on her forehead as his rosy lips pressed a kiss there.
"Brat, why are you out again?" Tang Zisu held his little hand; it felt so soft.
"Because that bad woman is bullying you! Daddy isn't here; I have to come out to protect you. Mother, you must hold on."
“Brat, call Mama. It's so awkward to say 'mother.' Last time you told me to hold on, and look, I really did hold on. But are you really my child? Your Daddy says it's impossible to have a child.”
Little Baby wore a mysterious smile: “Daddy is a fool; there's always a chance. Anyway, I’m determined to be your son.”
Tang Zisu's expression darkened: “Really? Can I really have a child? But will I get to see you grow up and marry a wife? You seem so mature even in my belly; will you be able to walk and run right after being born, like Nezha?”
Little Baby pouted: “He made his mother suffer for three years in her belly and was born as a little ball of flesh, and he never grows up. I don’t want to be like him.” Tang Zisu looked at Little Baby's arrogant tone, which reminded her of Kong Xuan, and couldn't help but reach out to ruffle his hair.
Little Baby felt a bit shy, his little face turning red: “Mama, don’t do that, cough cough.”
Tang Zisu vigorously messed up his hair, “You’re only two months old; why are you so composed? You’re more mature than your father. Be careful; when you grow up, no girl will like you.”
“Mama, don’t joke around. By the way, you need to be careful of that woman from earlier. Although she’s a fairy, her spirit is filled with malice.”
“Got it. She wants to steal your daddy from me; I won’t listen to her humph. By the way, how did I do just now?”
Little Baby nodded with a smile, golden light in his eyes enveloping Tang Zisu like warm mist. Tang Zisu wanted to hug him but ended up embracing empty air. Then she felt someone patting her face: “Miss Tang Zisu, Miss Tang Zisu.”
Tang Zisu opened her eyes and realized she was lying on the ground, Mei Xiao was bending over calling her.
There was no Little Baby at all; could it be another dream?
She struggled to lift herself slightly; her lower abdomen no longer hurt, but her muscles felt sore and weak all over, and there was some stickiness between her legs that felt uncomfortable. She asked Mei Xiao: “What happened to me?”
Mei Xiao frowned slightly and said slowly: “You’re seeing red down there; it seems like your period has come.”
“Period?” A heavy disappointment surged in her heart; having her period meant there would be no adorable Little Baby!
“I'll go out first; you should rest well.” Mei Xiao never liked Tang Zisu in the first place and certainly wasn’t going to serve her like Softy did.
After Mei Xiao left, Tang Zisu changed into clean clothes. Looking at the bloodstains on the discarded garments, she felt that something was off.
As soon as Mei Xiao stepped outside, her expression changed. She headed straight for the back hall, wanting to find Po Jun; this urgent matter needed to be discussed with him.
"Mei Xiao, where are you going?"
Mei Xiao turned around to see Lijia. She slightly bowed and said, "Greetings, Celestial Maiden."
Lijia walked up to her and asked with a smile, "Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Nothing much. Celestial Maiden, what brings you here?"
"I've been here for a while. Come on, let's go to your room and talk."
Lijia pulled Mei Xiao into her bedroom. Once inside, she didn't say anything but began to examine Mei Xiao's room. After a moment, she chuckled and said, "I heard that Po Jun used to avoid you from thirty miles away. Now you two are neighbors."
Mei Xiao felt a bit uneasy and forced a smile. "In this situation, even Tiger King can't do anything."
"Mei Xiao, tell me, what happened to that woman?" Lijia's eyes fixed coldly on Mei Xiao, as if peering into her heart.
"She is pregnant."
"Pregnant? That’s impossible." Lijia's expression changed as she felt frustrated by this sudden turn of events. She had initially planned to let that wretched woman live a few more days; it seemed she needed to act quickly now.
"I can't be sure, but the signs point to it. What did you do to her earlier?" Mei Xiao was no fool either; connecting the dots, she countered Lijia's question.
Lijia straightened her chest and elongated her neck like an elegant swan, but couldn't hide her guilt. "What could I do? Stop talking nonsense."
With Po Jun no longer present, Mei Xiao no longer needed to play the lady. She flicked her nine tails across Lijia's feet and said, "Celestial Maiden, let's not speak in riddles in front of clear-eyed people. Do you dare to do what you cannot acknowledge?"
Suddenly, Lijia produced a strip of white silk from her sleeve and tightly wrapped it around Mei Xiao's neck. "How dare a little fox spirit treat me with such disrespect?"
Mei Xiao's face turned pale, but her smile became even more enchanting. "Celestial Maiden, when dealing with a dog, one must look at its owner. My owner is Ming Wang."
"Ming Wang, if Ming Wang knew that Po Jun colluded with humans and caused him to be trapped here, I wonder how he would deal with him?" Lijia tugged at her scarf with one hand and twirled her long hair with the other, smiling with a calculating expression.
"You, it was clearly you who lured Tiger King. Lijia, you really have no shame."
"Mei Xiao, we are both women. I want Kong Xuan, and you want Po Jun. Why don't we make a deal? You help me get rid of that mortal, and I'll make Po Jun devoted to you. What do you say?"
Mei Xiao snorted coldly. "Po Jun likes you."
"Don't worry about that. I have my ways to make him not like me. Will you help or not?"
Lijia's purple hair floated up to Mei Xiao's purple eyes, gradually blending into one color. A fox is always a fox; she could only think of herself. She nodded.
Lijia retracted her scarf and extended her hand. "Alright, you don't need to worry about anything else. Just wait for me to come up with a plan, and then follow my instructions."
Mei Xiao hesitated for a moment but still clasped hands with Lijia.
Lang Ye said that Kong Xuan's feather message should be returning today. Upon hearing this, Tang Zisu was unhappy. "Why does he tell you first and not me?"
Lang Ye flicked his cool hairstyle and replied, "Because you don't know magic."
Hmph, recovering magic is impressive? Just wait until I tell Softy about you; in a minute, you'll turn into a big black dog!
Seeing Tang Zisu grinning maliciously, Lang Ye hurriedly flew away. "Why don't you go wait for him at the Star Gazing Platform and give him a surprise?"
The Star Gazing Platform is located beneath Peacock Lake, where it is said one can see the stars of the human world reflected in the lake water. It is a necessary path to the Demon Palace.
Tang Zisu indeed went there. She didn't know that it was dark in the human world now, but she knew that Kong Xuan was her star. With him, her world had light. Moreover, she wanted to tell him about Little Baby; she felt that this time her body was not reacting due to menstruation but rather something else. She needed Kong Xuan to take her to see a doctor; she had to bring Little Baby close to Kong Xuan.
Standing on the high platform, dark clouds rolled beneath her, seemingly bottomless. She hurriedly stepped back to find a safe spot; if she fell down, it would be the end.
Tang Zisu didn't know how long she had been waiting, only that her stomach was hungry and her calves were numb. Just as she was grumbling about her man, suddenly the calm surface of the lake above her head was pierced by shards of light like glass. As the water rippled hazily, it looked as if gold was melting and splashing. Leaning against a giant rock, Tang Zisu was completely captivated by the scene. She even wondered if Kong Xuan often came to gaze at the starlight beneath the lake, which made her more determined to see the real stars.
Suddenly, it was as if the mirror-like surface had shattered. A whirlpool formed at the bottom of the lake, spinning faster and faster at its center. Then, a huge white figure leaped out from the center, transforming into a long-haired figure in white as it hit the ground.
Tang Zisu placed her hand on her chest; that large white bird was her man's true form? It was white! She had always thought he was a peacock displaying its feathers at the zoo; it turned out he was Precious's white peacock. What a pity she hadn't seen it clearly!
Just as Tang Zisu wanted to go out and ask her man to show her his peacock form, she suddenly heard a pleasant woman's voice say, "Xuan, long time no see."
Tang Zisu's heart skipped a beat. This voice was clearly not hers, nor Mei Xiao's, nor that Celestial Maiden Lijia's. There was a third woman in this Demon Palace! How many women were vying for Kong Xuan?
Tang Zisu peeked outside, and when she saw the woman out there, all the blood in her body ran cold. The woman looked just like her—no, not exactly like her; that woman had an aura of immortality and was more charming and graceful than she was.
Kong Xuan stood there dazedly, gazing at that woman with an almost greedy look. After a long moment, he trembled and said, "Light Eye, long time no see."
Light Eye? The true form of Ksitigarbha before crossing Infinite Calamity? The book said she had died! But why did she look so much like Tang Zisu? No, why did Tang Zisu look so much like her? A counterfeit? A rough imitation? Who was whose imitation?
Tang Zisu's mind became a chaotic mess; her ears rang with noise and she couldn't hear clearly what they were saying. All she could see was Light Eye stepping forward to take Kong Xuan's hand and then hugging his waist.
Gradually calming down, Tang Zisu watched the pair of lovers.
Light Eye rested her head on Kong Xuan's chest, tears falling one by one from her delicate chin onto his clothes. "It's been three hundred years. If I don't come looking for you, why don't you come looking for me? Instead, you're with someone who looks like me."
Kong Xuan raised his hand to stroke Light Eye's long hair. "It's been three hundred years; your life or death has been uncertain. Where could I find you? But Kong Xuan has always waited here for you."
"Xuan, Xuan, I'm here now. I've finally come back; I won't leave you again."
"Mm."
Light Eye lifted her tear-streaked face. "What about that woman? What will happen to her?"
"I'm only with her to get her attention. I can't take away her Buddha Seal. I have to find opportunities and coincidences for her to give it to herself. Don't worry, this day is not far away. She is yours." Every soul in her body is transformed. When she dies, I will get her soul back to you. " "I don't want it anymore. I am still me without my soul, but I can't be tainted with other people's memories. " Kong Xuan hugged the woman and kissed each other for a long time. Tang Zisu’s brain was in a state of chaos, and his chest hurt so much that it felt like a needle pricking him. He staggered back and almost fell down. At this moment, she really wanted to rush up and give them both a slap, but for some reason, she didn't have the courage. Who was she? A small part in someone’s body? Kong XuanWhat do you think she is? Fake? Antidote? So those sweet words in the past were just said to another person through this body? Tang Zisu turned around weakly and walked away like a ghost. She suddenly figured out something, why did Kong Xuan appear in Shrine, why did he get close to herself, and why did he like herself for no reason? , why his people were surprised when they saw him, why Cold Crow said that he only liked his own face, why Liya said that he was a fake, I understand, now she understands everything. Kong Xuan and Light Eye on the other side of the stone watched the person leave. They exchanged a look, showed a successful smile, and then disappeared in a flash. Tang Zisu One foot deep and one foot shallow was like stepping on cotton. She didn’t know where she was going, but Lang Ye saw her and stretched out his hand to pull her: "Tang Zisu, where are you going? Why don't you go to Star Gazing Platform and wait for Kong Xuan?" Tang Zisu looked at Lang Ye for a while before he recognized him, Tang Zisu said with difficulty: "I saw him when he came back. "There's no need for Baba to wait. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable. I want to go back to sleep." "You can just sleep all day long. Do you want me to sleep like a pig?" "Lang Ye said and grabbed Tang Zisu's arm, "You can't walk on this road. There is nothing in front of you. It's dark. That's the Sealing Pool, the Demon Souls that died in the battle between gods and demons. The whole seal is there." Tang Zisu nodded, and then walked in the direction of Demon Palace, Kong Xuan looked at her back and said: "God, no man can think like this, that bird Is it that easy?" Lang Ye walked to the Star Gazing Platform and just stopped, Kong Xuan came down from the top, Lang Ye hurriedly came forward: "Bird, why did you come back? , Your woman probably got angry because she couldn't wait for you, so she went back by herself." Kong Xuan patted Lang Ye on the shoulder: "Something happened on the way, Tang Zisu she just went back." "She's probably home now? , Nothing happened to you this time when you went to Flower Fruit Mountain?" Kong Xuan walked a few steps and kept looking forward, feeling anxious: "Fortunately, Sun Wukong is very good and has a simple mind. , his skills are also very strong, I like him very much." Lang Ye took a few steps to catch up with Kong Xuan: "I see you are anxious, but I haven't seen him for a few days, and I haven't seen him for a few days either Softy. ” Kong Xuan Mimi’s eyes: “Tang Zisu is still sick, I have been worried.” At this time, Tang Zisu did not return to the palace, she was lost.
She had been following the path indicated by Lang Ye, and the route to the Demon Palace was not complicated. However, today, many unexpected forks appeared, and after several twists and turns, she found herself in a muddy swamp.
Tang Zisu felt particularly uncomfortable as she approached this area, experiencing a sense of suffocating oppression. She looked around at the dark surroundings and instinctively hugged her arms.
She wanted to retrace her steps, but there was no path left. She stumbled around like a headless fly, but the vast wilderness was filled with the same black mud everywhere.
Something tripped her foot, causing her to fall to the ground. Tang Zisu instinctively reached down and let out a scream as she threw the object away; it turned out to be a skull.
Tang Zisu quickly got up, wanting to escape this place as soon as possible. However, a chill gradually crept up from her feet to her entire body. The mournful cries echoed like hammers striking her eardrums, and the stench in the air grew increasingly unbearable.
At some point, a hint of pale color emerged in this place, and Tang Zisu realized she was standing on a living graveyard. The dark mud bubbled ominously, with sticks of various sizes sticking out in all directions. Each stick was topped with a severely decayed skull, whether human or animal was uncertain. The bared teeth seemed to be grinning, and the dry scalp was connected to a few strands of hair. The hollow eye sockets stared at Tang Zisu from all sides.
Tang Zisu felt waves of cold rising from her ankles, traveling up her spine, leaving her back icy. She sprinted away in panic, all her despair dissipated by fear; after all, she did not want to die—especially not in such an unfortunate place.
From the swamp emerged silent hands made of rotten flesh and exposed bones, reaching for Tang Zisu's feet and dragging her down.
Tang Zisu struggled with all her might while fending off hands reaching for her arms. She sank deeper into the muck; soon, the mud enveloped her waist and abdomen. Wrapped in that filthy sludge filled with death's aura, she lost all strength to resist, becoming a lump of soft flesh ready for slaughter.
The Demon Souls and Vengeful Spirits in the swamp caught the scent of fresh meat and gathered from all directions. They extended their slimy tongues covered in foul mucus and began drooling with disgust.
As more Demon Souls converged, they seemed to argue over who would get to enjoy Tang Zisu first. They were fierce demons who had always hunted alone and never learned to share their prey.
The demons clashed with one another,
One small Demon Soul took advantage of the chaos to squeeze next to Tang Zisu. It knew it couldn't gain anything substantial on its own but thought it might snatch a piece of flesh amidst the turmoil.
Its long fangs aimed at Tang Zisu's wrist during the commotion, just catching on the jade bracelet around her wrist.
The bracelet cracked under its bite, and suddenly golden light erupted from the swamp, followed by an earth-shattering roar as a Human-Faced Tiger monster emerged from the mire.
It swiftly bit through several ghostly hands before grabbing Tang Zisu's clothing and pulling her out of the swamp before quickly fleeing.
Tang Zisu seemed to be awakened by the sound of rain, but upon opening her eyes, she realized it was just the sound of water dripping in the cave. As she moved, she felt as if her limbs were bound, making her particularly uncomfortable, and she let out a soft groan.
"Master, don't move. You've been poisoned with Corpse Poison. I've sealed your hands and feet, and it will take three hours to cleanse it completely."
Tang Zisu turned her head toward the voice and saw a young boy sitting beside her. He had delicate features, red lips, and white teeth, with a small dot of cinnabar in the center of his forehead. She was somewhat surprised; where had she seen him before?
"Do I know you?"
The boy nodded and said, "Yes, Master."
"Master? You are Horse Abdomen."
"Yes, Master." The boy smiled, revealing the sharp teeth characteristic of felines.
Tang Zisu snapped back to reality and carefully examined the boy. Suddenly, she noticed that he was not wearing clothes below his neck. His slender waist led down to two pert buttocks, and his long legs moved with a straight gait like a cat, even his feet seemed soft and agile as if they had pads.
As for the most important part, Tang Zisu felt embarrassed to look. Although men often compared sizes, ever since she had been through various experiences with Old Demon, she began to develop a sense of gender distinction. That is to say, aside from her own man's body, she couldn't bear to look at any other man or woman. Just lowering her head made her think of her man; Tang Zisu felt a sharp pain in her heart. If she had died in that swamp just now, would Kong Xuan laugh heartily as he wished or shed a few tears for her?
Tang Zisu lowered her gaze and suddenly saw her own belly.
Before she could feel sorrowful, she quickly covered herself with both hands. "What exactly did you do? Who told you to take off my clothes?"
"Your clothes have Corpse Poison on them; you can't wear them," the boy replied in a calm and indifferent tone as if discussing the weather. In fact, he didn't see anything wrong with it. Although Horse Abdomen had transformed into a human form, he was different from Kong Xuan and Lang Ye; he merely took on a human shape while still thinking like a beast. No, when he was a beast, he was quite wise; however, when he became human, he became rather foolish—essentially the dumbest among beasts yet the smartest among humans.
Tang Zisu cried out loudly: "Does it matter if I'm dead? Why did you come out of the jade ring to meddle in my affairs?"
Horse Abdomen remained completely unmoved by Tang Zisu's cries; he closed his eyes as if deep in meditation.
Exhausted from crying, Tang Zisu lay there in silence. Given her current state, she felt powerless. A moment later, immense pain surged through her again; it felt as if someone was slicing meat from her heart.
Tang Zisu seemed to drift into a hazy sleep once more. She felt something biting her; opening her eyes revealed that Horse Abdomen was crouched beside her, biting into her finger.
"What are you doing again?"
"Removing Corpse Poison," Horse Abdomen replied briskly, as if saying one more word would tire him out.
After biting open the wound, he squeezed Tang Zisu's fingertip, dark blood gushing from the small cut. The connection between their hearts was strong; Tang Zisu winced in pain as he squeezed and pressed, but to outsiders, it looked like something far more serious than just removing Corpse Poison.
When Kong Xuan led a group of people and saw Tang Zisu and a young man huddled together, with Tang Zisu making soft sounds of discomfort, he nearly exploded.
Without asking or looking, Kong Xuan kicked Horse Abdomen in the lower back, sending the boy tumbling several times until he finally rolled next to a rock.
Kong Xuan took off his clothes and draped them over Tang Zisu. Lang Ye shouted for everyone outside to wait.
Breaking Army wore a disdainful expression while Mei Xiao exchanged a glance with Liya. Lang Ye, however, furrowed his brows in concern about how to handle the situation.
Kong Xuan stood there silently, but his chest heaved violently, clearly furious. Tang Zisu calmed down after Kong Xuan kicked Horse Abdomen; he pretended so well, resembling a husband who had been cheated on. Unfortunately for you, Kong Xuan, I have seen through your true nature; I will no longer trust you!
Kong Xuan's eyes were bloodshot, filled with a hunger for violence. His face was pale from exhaustion. He couldn't understand why that innocent Silly Goose would do such a thing. He had rushed day and night just to return to her sooner. When he couldn't find her in the Demon Palace, his disappointment was immense.
When an anomaly appeared at the Sealing Pool and he found one of her shoes in the swamp, he nearly went mad. Breaking Army kept whispering in his ear that she was a troublemaker. In a fit of rage, Kong Xuan slapped his own brother and charged into the swamp, smashing all those skeletal hands to pieces.
Suppressing the turmoil within him, Kong Xuan ran through the Infinite Demon Realm. Several times he stopped to cough up blood, but when he finally found her, it was such a scene. True Qi surged through him as silver light flickered in his palms; he felt murderous intent rising within him. He had to kill this boy who dared to touch Tang Zisu.
Tang Zisu wrapped herself in his robe and rushed in front of the young man: "Kong Xuan, if you want to kill me, go ahead; don’t involve anyone else."
Kong Xuan's pupils constricted: "Do you think I wouldn't dare or that I care?"
Tang Zisu found it laughable: "Dare? Care? What are you afraid of, Peacock King? Kong Xuan, stop pretending; it's disgusting!"
"Tang Zisu! You traitor!" Kong Xuan's aura intensified with silver light and threads of crimson swirling around him as he raised his hand to strike at Tang Zisu's crown.
