Ye Xiaohan had a certain appreciation for Liu Yang; it was clear that he had grown up to have such thoughts.
Indeed, she still had the ability to educate the next generation.
She silently gave herself a pat on the back.
However, some things were better clarified with Liu Yang to prevent him from worrying unnecessarily.
"Actually, Bai Rong'er’s condition has already been stabilized," Ye Xiaohan informed Liu Yang. "The poison in her system was completely cleared out a few days ago."

Ye Xiaohan proudly lifted her head, accepting the praise.
"Wait a minute!" Liu Yang thought for a moment and asked, "If the poison has been resolved, why hasn’t Bai Rong'er returned to her original self? Shouldn't she recover more quickly?"
Ye Xiaohan shook her head. "It's not that simple. Detoxification can only help her body recover, and even then, it may not return to its previous state."
As for other issues, there were still many questions.
Liu Yang looked puzzled. "I understand that your expertise indicates Bai Rong'er’s aphasia is caused by psychological trauma and cannot be treated solely with medication. But what about her occasional lapses in consciousness? Isn’t that also a result of the poisoning?"
"That's one of the reasons," Ye Xiaohan explained. "This poison indeed causes damage to the brain, leading one into madness. However, Bai Rong'er’s situation is a bit more special. Besides the poison, it also has to do with her own circumstances."
Liuyang was even more confused. "Why is that? Is it that the White Maiden herself doesn't want to get better?"

Liuyang understood, even though he didn't know what an 'electric net' was. In any case, it meant that Bai Rong'er didn't want to remember; just thinking about it caused her severe headaches.

Ye Xiaohan nodded. "When it comes to psychological issues, aside from relying on herself to overcome them, everything else can only serve as support and cannot play a decisive role."
If Bai Rong'er didn't want to, she might never recover her memories.
"Let's wait a bit longer," Liuyang said, looking in the direction of Bai Rong'er's house. "She has endured such difficult times before; I believe she can hold on."
Even if she couldn't remember, it wouldn't matter. She could continue living here with everyone.
After that, Liuyang paid more attention to Bai Rong'er, often going over to talk and communicate with her. Although he was often ignored, there were still some minuscule effects.
Bai Rong'er seemed to sense Liuyang's goodwill and became a bit friendlier towards him. Each of her responses made Liuyang feel that everything he did was worthwhile.

Just then, Gu Bei arrived and walked in on this scene.
Both parties were surprised for a moment.
Bai Rong'er usually stayed alone in her room, unwilling to see anyone. Especially when there were outsiders in the house, she would never step out of her door.
So although Gu Bei had visited many times, he had never seen her in person. He had only heard from Ye Xiaohan and the others that such a person existed; this was their first meeting.

Ye Xiaohan was taken aback that Gu Bei had actually climbed over the wall, resulting in their encounter. She cursed Gu Bei inwardly for being unreliable.
She nervously watched Bai Rong'er, ready to calm her down if she became agitated.
At first, the six or seven-year-old was excited to see Gu Bei and wanted to rush over. But then they remembered Sister Bai beside them and raised a finger to their lips, signaling Gu Bei not to scare Bai Rong'er.
Bai Rong'er was surprisingly the calmest one. When Gu Bei suddenly appeared in the yard after climbing over the wall, she merely glanced at him before lowering her head again to slowly peel the edamame, ignoring everyone else.
Seeing that Bai Rong'er appeared normal, everyone else breathed a sigh of relief.
Ye Xiaohan and the child felt happy for Bai Rong'er because she seemed to be improving and was no longer unwell.
Gu Bei felt relieved that he hadn't caused Bai Rong'er any distress, which had drawn Ye Xiaohan's ire. He thought he had narrowly escaped a disaster.
However, after the initial tension faded, Ye Xiaohan's displeasure grew as she recalled Gu Bei's behavior.
She couldn't help but notice how Gu Bei's gaze had lingered on Bai Rong'er, something she had never seen him do with any other woman. Turning her head to scrutinize Bai Rong'er's face, she confirmed her suspicions: the girl had an ethereal beauty, with skin as fair as snow, captivating enough to make one forget their surroundings.
Even Ye Xiaohan had to admit that despite her long acquaintance with Bai Rong'er, she still found herself irresistibly drawn to her beauty every time they met.
Such stunning looks could easily be weaponized.
Yet, being beautiful was not a fault, so Ye Xiaohan wouldn't take out her frustration on Bai Rong'er; instead, Gu Bei bore the brunt of it.
After receiving several cold shoulders and eye rolls from Ye Xiaohan, Gu Bei finally realized his mistake and hurried to explain himself.
"I wasn't staring at White Maiden because she's pretty," Gu Bei quickly defended himself. "In my eyes, no one is more beautiful than you."
Ye Xiaohan shot him a sidelong glance and asked, "Say it again while holding your heart: Who is more beautiful, me or White Maiden?"
"You are beautiful!" Gu Bei promptly placed his hand over his heart without hesitation.
Ye Xiaohan looked him up and down before shaking her head. "What a pity; at such a young age, you've already lost your sense of sight!"
She wasn't so angry that she couldn't acknowledge reality; anyone with eyes could see that Bai Rong'er was even more beautiful than the current version of Ye Xiaohan.
Gu Bei earnestly replied, "What others see doesn't matter to me. In my eyes, you are more beautiful than anyone else."
He spoke earnestly, and Ye Xiaohan found it hard to continue the conversation. She felt a bit annoyed, but more than that, she couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.
Just as she was about to forcefully change the topic and drop the matter, since she didn't truly believe that Gu Bei had any special feelings for Bai Rong'er, she heard Gu Bei say, "I just saw White Maiden and thought she looked a bit familiar."
"What?" Ye Xiaohan exclaimed in surprise. "You know Bai Rong'er?"
She had previously gone to great lengths to contact Bai Rong'er's relatives, only to come up empty-handed. Had she missed a clue right in front of her? Gu Bei actually knew Bai Rong'er?
Gu Bei pondered for a moment and replied, "She just looks familiar, like I've seen her somewhere before. But where could it be?"
"Think carefully; can you remember anything?" Ye Xiaohan urged.
If Gu Bei really knew Bai Rong'er from before, he might be able to find some clues to locate Bai Rong'er's relatives.
Gu Bei tried hard to recall, but strangely enough, he genuinely felt he had seen Bai Rong'er before, yet he couldn't remember where or when.
"I can't remember," Gu Bei finally admitted defeat. "Maybe it was just a brief encounter where I caught a glimpse of her."
He found this explanation quite reasonable.
In response, Ye Xiaohan scoffed, "I think you must have seen her in a dream!"
