Just when Ye Xiaohan thought that providing food would satisfy Shangyang Princess and keep her calm, trouble arose at the restaurant.
Two of the high-priced chefs Ye Xiaohan had hired were poached away.
The two chefs did not hide anything from Ye Xiaohan and directly explained the reason for their departure.
It turned out that ever since Princess Shangyang had her first meal at the restaurant, she couldn't stop thinking about it. Even the Royal Chef in the palace was no longer satisfactory to her; everything she ate felt bland in comparison.
So, during her last visit, she came up with a permanent solution: to lure the restaurant's chef away with a generous offer to cook exclusively for her.

The chef had worked at the restaurant for a long time and held great respect for Ye Xiaohan. He didn't want things to end on bad terms, but the allure of Princess Shangyang's salary was hard to resist.

"People always strive for better opportunities. If you find a better job, I should be happy for you," Ye Xiaohan replied with a smile. "Such chances don’t come often; if I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t let them slip away either. Don’t worry; I won’t be upset about this."
Her words were sincere. Although losing two chefs would temporarily affect the restaurant's business and made her somewhat unhappy, her displeasure was solely directed at the impact on business, not at the chefs themselves.
In fact, she wasn't even too angry with Princess Shangyang for spending lavishly just to satisfy her cravings; she merely sighed and thought how nice it must be to have money.
After poaching two chefs, Princess Shangyang enjoyed a brief period of peace. However, this bliss didn’t last long; before long, she returned once again.
This time, Princess Shangyang approached Ye Xiaohan directly with a surprising request.
"You want me to come to the palace and be your chef?" Ye Xiaohan pointed at herself, struggling to process this request. Was there something unusual about this princess's way of thinking? How could she even propose such a thing?
Princess Shangyang saw nothing wrong with her request: "Those two chefs only know a few dishes; I got tired of eating the same things! I heard that all the recipes at this restaurant are set by you. If I can bring you back, then I can enjoy fresh dishes every day!"
