"Clean!" Xuan'er and Tide replied in unison, their faces filled with pride. 0

"Well then, you two wash your hands and sit at that small table over there to wait," Qing Luan said, noticing Lady Lin's slight dissatisfaction in her eyes. However, she refrained from voicing her concerns. Thinking it was just Lady Lin's temperament, she whispered a few words into Qin'er's ear before turning to head into the kitchen. 0

Qing Luan was busy inside, but Lady Lin did not enter. After a while, the Cook began bringing out several dishes: steamed egg with minced meat, fish, stir-fried greens, and red date porridge. The light aroma wafted through the air, making one's appetite awaken. 0

"Alright, these dishes can only be eaten by the well-behaved Xuan'er and Tide who have washed their vegetables. No one else can taste or eat them," she said as she handed them chopsticks and spoons, allowing them to serve themselves. 0

"Young Master," the maid who had been attending to Xuan'er tried to approach to serve him but was stopped by Xuan'er. 0

"I want to eat by myself," he said, awkwardly picking up the spoon. He attempted to eat the egg but lacked the strength. Seeing Tide happily eating made him a bit anxious. 0

To avoid dampening his enthusiasm, Qing Luan took the chopsticks and broke apart the steamed egg that had solidified in the plate, dividing it into small pieces for easier access. When she saw Xuan'er manage to get some food into his mouth, she smiled gently and offered him an encouraging look. 0

Lady Lin watched in astonishment as her son, who had refused to eat no matter how she tried to feed him, was now eating so joyfully. Although he dropped some food while eating, he had consumed quite a bit—much more than usual. She looked at Qing Luan with excitement and gratitude, unsure of how to express her feelings; her eyes reflected guilt, excitement, and deep appreciation. 0

Qing Luan reminded them to eat well and encouraged them to have more vegetables before instructing Qin'er to keep an eye on them. She then gestured for Lady Lin to follow her aside for a private conversation. 0

Lady Lin looked at the petite figure before her with confusion; she had many questions swirling in her mind about how someone so young could understand so much. Not only had she saved her son, but she had also resolved problems that no one else could tackle, leaving Lady Lin both amazed and thrilled. 0

"Qing Luan, how did you do it?" she asked excitedly as she reached out to grasp Qing Luan's hand. "You don't know how much Xuan'er means to us. We had him late in life and wanted nothing but the best for him. Yet no matter how hard we tried, he wouldn't eat, leaving us exhausted—he's so frail because he eats so little; it breaks my heart to see him like this..." At this point, her voice choked with emotion. 0

"Aunt Lin," Qing Luan said gently as she patted her back for comfort. "Don't be sad; isn't he eating well now?" 0

"But... but..." Her eyes were filled with deep concern; such shadows could not simply dissipate. 0

"Sigh," supporting Aunt Lin as she sat by the round stone table, she glanced at the two children happily eating not far away. She furrowed her brows and said to Aunt Lin, "Actually, this matter is quite easy to resolve. It's just that you and Uncle Lin are overly worried, which has made things worse and caused the children to suffer so much!" 0

"What?" Aunt Lin was startled by her words and quickly asked, "What exactly is going on?" 0

Qing Luan pondered for a moment before saying, "Xuan'er is your precious child; of course, you care for him. However, you've overlooked the essence of the matter—Xuan'er is thin because he doesn't like the food you prepare. Just now, I saw the dishes brought by the maid; they were greasy. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to swallow them either." Seeing that Aunt Lin wanted to say something, she smiled and continued, "I understand your concern. Xuan'er is too thin; while fatty foods might help him gain some weight, if the child has no appetite at all, how can he gain weight? He ends up going hungry for nothing." 0

"Is... is it really that simple?" Aunt Lin looked somewhat dazed. 0
