He cast a calm glance at the newcomer, not intending to invite them in. Instead, he casually chose a spot to sit and waited for the visitor to speak.
Su Yuanhang looked at the person before him, feeling that something was off. After all, facing the petite and childlike Linglong, who was the head of her family, felt strange. He was curious about where she had come from to possess such abilities. He should have arrived earlier, but due to some issues with the Zheng Family, he had delayed his visit until today.
"Miss," Su Yuanhang revealed a shrewd businessman’s smile and gently called out.
"Is there something you need?" She glanced at him, not missing the deep calculations in his eyes. Disgust flashed through her beautiful eyes as she lowered her head and asked lightly.
"Uh, I apologize for my abrupt arrival..." Su Yuanhang felt uncomfortable under her cold demeanor. Although he wasn't part of the Zheng Family, it was customary to show some courtesy in such situations. Yet, in front of this young lady, he felt somewhat powerless.
Before he could finish his sentence, Qing Luan coldly interrupted him. "If you know your arrival is abrupt, why come at all?" She hadn’t invited him and yet he was putting on airs in front of her.
"Miss..." No one had ever been so direct and rude, leaving Su Yuanhang feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Su Young Master," the man before her held an ambiguous position within the Zheng Family—he wasn’t a direct relative but managed matters as if he were. This was Hu Lingyun's assessment of him. "You should go drink or listen to some music when you're free. I’m so busy that I don’t even have time to eat. You’d do well not to come here and make a fuss; there’s no place for you to earn money here, so it’s better if you come less often!"
She could easily guess his intentions without needing to think too hard about it. Thus, she was quite blunt, especially toward those who came with strong ulterior motives.
Taking a deep breath to prevent herself from being infuriated by her words, Qing Luan said, "Qingluan, I am here representing the Zheng Family to discuss something with you..." Before he could finish again, she interrupted him without hesitation.
"Su Young Master, I’m very busy and have nothing to discuss with you," she said curtly while frowning. "I only do what I am supposed to do; don’t mix your grievances with mine." His intentions were almost written on his face, and she wouldn’t give him any false hope that could lead to complications later on.
Su Yuanhang didn’t expect her to be so resolute, leaving no room for negotiation. Anger surfaced on his face as a sinister smile appeared in his black eyes. His once delicate features twisted into a fierce expression as he darkly warned her, "Miss, I haven’t finished speaking yet. You’re being quite rude by interrupting me like this. Aren't you afraid of what might happen if you offend the Zheng Family?"
Raising an eyebrow and casting a sidelong glance at the man whose true nature had been exposed, she let out a cold laugh and stood up. "I wonder what position Su Young Master holds in the Zheng Family?" This question was one she genuinely found intriguing. "Shouldn't it be someone from the Zheng Family warning me instead of you, a member of the Su family?"
"You..." Su Yuanhang understood the insult hidden in her words, but he quickly suppressed his anger and replied coldly, "I told you I am here representing the Zheng Family..."
"Can you really represent the Zheng Family?" Tilting her head, her Black Eyes were filled with mockery.
Seeing that she had no intention of discussing matters with him, Su Yuanhang dropped any pretense and threatened directly, "Qingluan, just because you've bought a house in this village doesn't mean you're one of them. I believe you wouldn't want your family to be displaced, would you?"
Indeed, Qing Luan calculated in her mind before looking up at him with a serious expression. "Is Su Young Master's influence really that great?" What a pathetic lackey, completely unaware of his own identity.
