"So what do you plan to do?" With someone accompanying her, the originally long journey suddenly felt much shorter.
"Just chill!" Azure Phoenix replied succinctly.
The three of them chatted as they walked, and in the blink of an eye, they entered the city. To create an opportunity for Xuanyuan Rui, Yun Qingyang took Little Wolf and left under the pretense of needing to attend to something. Meanwhile, Xuanyuan Rui, wanting to reciprocate the kindness shown to him, offered to escort Qing Luan home.
"I live in Jade Pavilion," Qing Luan had suspected his identity before and thought he was someone significant, so she didn't inquire too deeply; she just hoped he wasn't from Prime Minister Huang's side.
"I'll take you there," Xuanyuan Rui said, looking quite dashing in his white attire. Walking alongside Qing Luan immediately drew the attention of many—people noticed the handsome man rather than the girl.
With a handsome escort, Qing Luan naturally agreed.

Upon seeing the figure in red, Qing Luan narrowed her eyes and realized that the troublemaker was Lin Ya.
"Chen Qingluan, you really have no shame," Lin Ya declared indignantly as she noticed their attention shifting toward her. "You're about to marry Young Marquis as a concubine yet still dare to flirt with another man in public? How shameless can you be!"
Hearing her words made Xuanyuan Rui want to step forward and teach her a lesson immediately, but he was held back by Qing Luan.
"Are you really going to bite back after a dog bites you?" Qing Luan said lightly to Xuanyuan Rui without looking at Lin Ya.
"Heh," Xuanyuan Rui chuckled in support, then attempted to turn away with Qing Luan, but was stopped by someone.
"What are you? How dare you laugh at me?" Lin Ya, seeing that Chen Qingluan not only ignored her but also called her a dog, was further enraged by the laughter of a stranger. She sneered, "A woman like her, who is known for being promiscuous, and you still want her? How pathetic! Be careful not to end up wearing a green hat!"
"Lin Ya," Shui Moli said angrily as she watched Lin Ya's arrogant demeanor. Qing Luan smiled and replied softly, "Don't you know that anyone casually walking around in the capital has a higher official rank than your father?" In this capital city, there were plenty of officials.
With just a casual grab, one could find dozens of them. Why did Lin Ya have no sense of caution at all?
