Chen Residence
"Mother, with the Young Marquis pressuring us like this, you have no choice but to agree!" Chen Yan'er had been staying at the Chen Family for some time now. She had no desire to return to that devouring place, and this time she had an excuse; of course, she was eager to take advantage of it.

"Die?" Qing Luan smiled slightly and shook her head. "That would be too easy for him!" She wanted him to suffer a fate worse than death.
"Uh!" Looking at her calm demeanor, Sister Yun felt uneasy; chills ran down her spine.
"Miss," while they were talking, Qin'er walked in holding an invitation card and said with a smile, "The princess has sent out invitations for a banquet three days later at Princess Mansion, inviting you and Sister Yun to attend..."
"Me?" Sister Yun was taken aback and asked in confusion about the invitation. "Why would the princess invite me?"
"I don't know; that's what the messenger said," Qin'er answered honestly.
"What else did the messenger say?" Qing Luan asked Qin'er without taking the invitation.
"The Chen Residence also received an invitation; both Chen Yan'er and the young lady have one," she replied. It seemed that Miss was indeed impressive; she understood their intentions perfectly.
"Alright, Qin'er, bring the new jewelry from the shop to Sister Yun and let her pick carefully... We can't afford to lose face at the princess's banquet..."
