"Do you feel anything?" Li Wei Feng asked excitedly.
Hanno blinked in confusion and replied, "Feel what?"
Li Wei Feng chuckled helplessly at Hanno's cluelessness. "Don't you feel the internal energy in your body?"
"Huh?" Hanno paused for a moment, then immediately began to circulate his internal energy in the familiar way he had learned. Then—
"Wei Feng, I—I really have internal energy now!" Hanno exclaimed joyfully, jumping up in excitement. However, he jumped a bit too high and nearly hit his head on the ceiling. Quickly twisting his body, he executed the Serpent Style Flip and landed safely.
Elder Brother Li sighed in relief and said, "Calm down. I'm not beside you; don't be so reckless."
Hanno chuckled and replied happily, "Wei Feng, your guess was correct. I feel like all the skills I cultivated in my past life have come with me. Did you experience the same?"
Elder Brother Li smiled. "Of course. My martial arts have doubled since yesterday."
Hanno was even more thrilled. "That's great! You'll be much safer in that world now."
Elder Brother Li felt warmth in his heart and gently reassured him, "Don't worry. Even without my current skills, I'm safe here."
"But you're a general; you have to go to battle. High combat power ensures greater safety," Hanno insisted.
Elder Brother Li comforted Hanno, saying, "The war at the Border has ceased; there won't be any fighting for at least ten years. The rebellions within the Great Zhou have also been quelled. I won't be going to battle again."
"What about the emperor? If he wants to kill you, you'll need your agility and internal energy to escape," Hanno pressed.
Elder Brother Li couldn't help but laugh. "The emperor of this world is a wise ruler; he won't randomly kill his ministers. I won't cause trouble; everything is quite safe."
Hanno's face flushed at this and realized he had overreacted a bit. He shifted his gaze and said, "I can't talk to you for long; my mom asked me to buy some dumplings. We'll chat later."
Upon hearing this, Elder Brother Li added, "Please buy me a few boxes of breakfast milk. I want to give some to Li Yishu and the others; they were always hungry these past few years and their health isn't good. I want to help them recover."
"Alright." Hanno readily agreed. Li Yishu and Li Zhoule were like her younger siblings, and she would never shy away from doing good things for them. "After breakfast, I'll go to the market and buy a box of milk to send over to you."
"Elder Brother Li" smiled, "You really care for your sister-in-law and brother-in-law."
Hanno huffed and decisively ended the video call.
As she came downstairs, she took a deep breath of fresh air and looked at the rosy dawn in the east. Hanno smiled brightly, stunning the passersby: It's wonderful to have hopeful days! Truly wonderful!
Hanno ran a lap around the riverbank. Now that she had internal energy, she could run a large circle of at least two thousand meters without breaking a sweat or losing her breath, feeling incredibly relaxed.
"Having internal energy is amazing!" Hanno exclaimed. If it weren't for the fear of startling the pedestrians and making headlines, she would have wanted to showcase her lightness by running a few more laps. Unfortunately, there were quite a few people out exercising in the morning, so Hanno couldn't fulfill her wish.
With a sigh, Hanno turned around and went to the breakfast shop to buy steamed buns. She bought two baskets—one for herself and one to send to Li Wei Feng. On her way, she saw a vendor selling Jianbing Guozi and casually bought a few since Li Wei Feng loved them.
Upon arriving at her rental apartment, she didn't video call Li Wei Feng again but directly placed the Jianbing Guozi and buns into a Porcelain Jar. Hanno carried the remaining basket of buns back home.
Mom Han had already prepared century egg and lean meat congee, leaving it on the table to cool naturally. When she saw Hanno return, she called for Han Dad to have breakfast. The table only had a plate of Pickled Radish mixed with chili oil and Sichuan pepper oil, which was very appetizing. Hanno drank three bowls of congee in one go and ate two buns. Seeing her daughter eat so well made Mom Han beam with joy.
"Nono!" Mom Han said while holding her rice bowl, "You've had quite an appetite lately."
Hanno replied, "Yeah, it's also because Mom's cooking is delicious."
Mom Han said, "My cooking is just average; even your dad is tired of it. You think it's good because you're in a good mood, right?"
Hanno raised her eyes and noticed Mom Han's curious expression mixed with gossiping intent. She glanced at Han Dad, who was focused on his congee but had his ears perked up. Unable to hold back her laughter, she generously said, "Yes, I'm in a great mood because something good has happened."
Mom Han's eyes lit up: "What good thing?"
Hanno smiled: "Haven't you already guessed?"
Mom Han excitedly asked, "Did you really get a boyfriend?"
Hanno replied, "Yes, I have a boyfriend now, but it's not someone new; it's the same one as before."
"Ah?" Mom Han was surprised. "You mean your previous boyfriend?"
"That's right." Hanno nodded. "He went missing during a mission, and I thought something had happened to him. But thank goodness, he’s safe and will be back."
"That's good to hear," Mom Han said with some concern. "Will he still be going on such dangerous missions in the future?"
"No, he won't." Hanno smiled with her eyes crinkling. "The missions he's doing now are much safer; they’re just a bit troublesome, which means he can't come back to be with me. But once he finishes this mission, he'll completely retire and focus on being with me."
Mom Han felt relieved. "When his mission is over, bring him to meet us."
"Okay," Hanno replied earnestly. She believed that day would not come too late.
………………
Autumn harvest was one of the busiest times for farmers and also their festival. A year of hard work culminated in just a few days. The villagers had started their preparations days in advance, harvesting the rice they had planted from their own seeds. After a bout of drought, although the irrigation issues were eventually resolved, the rice yield was still affected, producing less than two stones (240 pounds) per mu, leaving the farmers worried. Aoyama Village fared better; the emperor had exempted them from taxes for three years, while other villages found little food left after paying their taxes, fearing that more people would starve this year than last.
The village chief clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "What are you all so down about? Don't we still have Celestial Seeds to harvest?"
The farmers' eyes immediately lit up with hope: Yes, there were still Celestial Seeds!
Looking up at the fields where the Celestial Seeds were planted, they couldn't tell much about the sweet potatoes since they were unfamiliar with that crop. However, the fields that yielded a hundred pounds of rice made everyone’s eyes shine with excitement. The golden rice ears looked like stars compared to the previous harvest; the difference was striking.
During the rice harvesting, the Magistrate and Steward also arrived. Although this type of rice granted by celestial beings was only grown in Aoyama Village, the Magistrate took it very seriously. If this rice truly produced high yields, the county office would buy all of it to send part to the capital as a tribute and keep some for distribution among all villages under Jingyang County for planting next year—though it wouldn't be much, each village could plant a few mu initially and save seeds for a larger planting in the following year.
The Magistrate and Master Liu first visited Li Family to pay respects to Elder Brother Li. After Li Wei Feng returned to the village, the Magistrate and Master Liu came to visit Elder Brother Li. Although the Magistrate belonged to the civil service and Li Wei Feng belonged to the military, Elder Brother Li held significant power and influence; if he spoke well of the Magistrate, it would brighten his future prospects.
"High Magistrate, please make yourself at home," Elder Brother Li said warmly; he had a good impression of Jingyang County's Magistrate. Though there was some personal interest involved, he genuinely cared for the welfare of his people.
"I won't disturb you any longer!" The Magistrate said contentedly as he took his leave with Steward. General Li was indeed a kind person without airs; having formed a good relationship with him might smoothen his official career! Aoyama Village truly was blessed; no—perhaps it was Aoyama Village's ancestors who were remarkable—not only providing food for the villagers but also protecting those who ventured out into the world. It was known that very few from other villages returned after being conscripted; unlike those from Aoyama Village who returned safely except for one person. Some even became military officials, with Li Wei Feng becoming an influential figure whom he needed to curry favor with. Had Aoyama Village's ancestors become deities? Should he consider relocating his family to settle in Aoyama Village? Perhaps he could also receive some blessings from Aoyama Village's ancestors.
Elder Brother Li was blissfully unaware of Magistrate's thoughts as he cheerfully ran to the storage room to chat with his beloved girlfriend, leaving Li Yishu and Li Zhoule stifling their laughter in secret.
"Big Brother is so funny," Li Yishu said, covering her mouth as she laughed.
Li Zhoule chuckled but then sighed, "It's not easy for Big Brother and Sister Han either; they can only meet through the Porcelain Jar."
Li Yishu lowered her hands and said seriously, "I believe that with the Porcelain Jar, Big Brother and Sister Han will eventually be reunited."
Thinking of the wonders of the Porcelain Jar, Li Zhoule smiled again. "You’re right."

With Magistrate and Master Liu present, the villagers were highly motivated and quickly harvested an acre of rice. A few young men weighed the results, each one beaming with joy.
A Yamen Runner nearby saw the outcome and excitedly rushed over to Magistrate. "Sir, this celestial rice yields four stones per acre!"
Four stones equate to four hundred eighty pounds. The high-quality rice that Hanno had sent originally could yield up to eight hundred to one thousand jin per acre. In ancient times, fields were fertile, but farming techniques were rudimentary. After a drought, even though the farmers worked diligently, their yield was halved. Four hundred eighty pounds was the limit, but in the eyes of people in ancient times, it was an astonishing figure. Typically, yields ranged from two to three stones per acre; an extra stone meant a significant increase in food supply and could reduce hunger.
The farmers were all overjoyed, and Magistrate was equally pleased. Truly, these Celestial Seeds produced such high yields that if promoted nationwide, they could at least halve the disasters of famine. Magistrate imagined being summoned by the emperor for praise and happily instructed the Yamen Runner, "Pack up all the harvested rice and take it away."
The village chief looked distressed and hurriedly intervened. "Sir, please leave some for our village to use as seeds for next year!"
