In the Jia Jia Building, the events unfolded according to the storyline of Zombie, although there was an additional character, Si Tu Fen Ren, the plot remained largely unchanged: Mengmeng had died, and a group of ghosts helped her wreak havoc at the television station, allowing her to win the championship; Golden Future caught the eye of Takamoto Seiji, beginning their tragic entanglement; Jin Zhengzhong was taken into the online world by Sadako, while Ma Ling and Si Tu Fen Ren went with Kuang You to Nihong to rescue him; Kuang You's identity was exposed, but this time there was no Wang Zhenzhen making him feel guilty as Grandson's Girlfriend, so Kuang You felt much more at ease.
Big Mi was washing wine glasses when the bar door swung open, and another customer entered during non-business hours. After several instances of this happening, Big Mi no longer bothered to say "We're not open yet, please come back later." Looking up, she realized it was someone she couldn't afford to offend.
"Zhenzu," Big Mi quickly greeted Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen's expression was grim; he looked utterly drained and lacked the vigor he had when Big Mi first met him. He sat down on a corner sofa, ignoring Big Mi's presence. Not daring to speak further with Jiang Chen, Big Mi poured him a bottle of the finest red wine and retreated behind the bar. Before long, Mao Dingdang came down from the second floor.
"What brings you here?"
Jiang Chen's face was pale as he spoke quietly, "Ding Dong, where are those two? I want to see them again."
"Just a moment, I'll call them," Mao Dingdang replied without hesitation, pulling out her phone to dial Hanno. Hanno and Elder Brother Li were not far away; they had rented a place near Frgebar. After receiving the call, they arrived at the bar in just ten minutes—walking without using any supernatural powers.
"Jiang Chen, it looks like you've figured out a lot of things," Hanno remarked upon seeing Jiang Chen's expression of disbelief and despair. She couldn't help but smirk slightly. She truly questioned whether Jiang Chen's feelings for Nüwa were genuine love.
Jiang Chen sighed, "Yes, I've come to understand many things, but there are still many I can't grasp. So I wanted to ask you both how I can recover my memories."
Hanno shook her head. "We can't help you regain your memories."
Jiang Chen felt disappointed. "Is that so?"
Mao Dingdang couldn't stand seeing Jiang Chen like this and asked Hanno, "Aunt Yao, is there really no way?"
Suddenly Elder Brother Li spoke up. "Human King Fuxi."
Hanno clapped her hands together. "Exactly! We can't help you, but perhaps Human King Fuxi from our clan can assist Jiang Chen in recovering his memories."
"Human King Fuxi?" Jiang Chen furrowed his brow. "That name sounds familiar."
Hanno explained, "The Pangu Clan left behind more than just you on Earth; there were also Human King Fuxi and Yaochi Saint Mother. Nüwa created humanity based on Human King Fuxi's likeness. He is considered the ancestor of humanity. If Nüwa intends to destroy the world, she cannot bypass Human King Fuxi. However, he has sealed his powers and lives as an ordinary person now. You must find Human King Fuxi and persuade him to unseal his abilities."
Jiang Chen asked, "So I still have relatives on Earth. With him around, even if I help Nuwa, she won't be able to succeed in destroying the world, right?"
Hanno nodded. "Nuwa's attempt to destroy the world is destined to fail. Even without Human King Fuxi, the other members of the Pangu Clan wouldn't allow her to do it. For example, what's inside Golden Future isn't some demon star; it's a member of the Pangu Clan, descending to Earth through Golden Future's womb with the purpose of assisting humanity. Not only him, but another true member of the Pangu Clan has also come to Earth."
Jiang Chen smiled bitterly. "It seems that my actions over the years have made my relatives no longer believe in me."
Mao Dingdang couldn't help but glance at Jiang Chen, concern evident in her eyes. Jiang Chen felt a warmth in his heart; after all, there was still one person in this world who truly cared for him. Unfortunately, he had let that genuine feeling down. He decided that once he regained his memories and clarified his relationship with Nuwa, he would return to repay this kindness.
Hanno said, "Human King Fuxi is now going by Ren Xi and is working as a physical education teacher at a high school. You should go find him."
Eager to recover his memories, Jiang Chen didn't linger any longer and simply said, "Farewell," before leaving swiftly.
Hanno watched Mao Dingdang as she tried to conceal her concern and disappointment. He decided to give her something to do so she wouldn't dwell on Jiang Chen's situation. If Jiang Chen regained his memories and still chose Nuwa, at least Mao Dingdang would have something to rely on and wouldn't be heartbroken.
"Ding Dong, do you know the whereabouts of Great Dragon and Tiger?"
Mao Dingdang's eyes lit up at the mention. "Aunt Yao, do you know their news?"
Hanno nodded. "Tiger is currently working at a company and isn't doing very well. Great Dragon has been by his side but hasn't revealed himself to Tiger."
"Why not?" Mao Dingdang was surprised. "Big Brother took Tiger away; why doesn't he acknowledge him?"
Hanno replied, "Tiger is actually the reincarnation of Ksitigarbha. After becoming mortal, he is haunted by ghosts. Your brother sneaks into Tiger's room every night to help him fend off the ghosts."
Mao Dingdang said, "Then Big Brother should definitely acknowledge Tiger and stay by his side; wouldn't that make it easier to take care of him?"
Hanno shrugged. "Who knows what Great Dragon is thinking? Sometimes I even doubt he has a brain. To help Tiger fight off ghosts at night, he hasn't slept for over twenty years! Ha ha! He can't sleep at night; can't he just take a nap during the day? Even if he has to work for money, can't he work half-asleep? Is your brother really that foolish?"
Mao Dingdang frowned. "He really is foolish! I'm going to bring him and Tiger back right now. If there's a chance, I'll let them meet Ling. Seeing Ling all alone makes my heart ache."
Careless and Ma Dalong were brought back to Frgebar by Mao Dingdang. Under Mao Dingdang's insistence, Ma Dalong slept soundly for a full five nights. As for his concerns about Careless being haunted by ghosts, with Mao Dingdang around, dealing with the spirits was a piece of cake. Both Ma Dalong and Careless felt much more at ease.
While Ma Ling and the others were still troubled by Golden Future's pregnancy with the Demon Fetus, Jiang Chen arrived at Frgebar with the recovering Human King Fuxi. Jiang Chen approached Mao Dingdang, while Human King Fuxi sought out Hanno and Elder Brother Li.
"What exactly are you? How do you know so much about the Pangu Clan?" Human King Fuxi stared warily at Hanno and Elder Brother Li.
Elder Brother Li replied, "You don't need to know who we are; just understand that we mean you no harm and are here to help."
Human King Fuxi scoffed, "You come here without revealing your backgrounds, hiding in the shadows. How can I trust you?"
Elder Brother Li sighed, realizing that without clarity on their origins, Human King Fuxi would never believe them. He decided not to mention cooperation any further and said, "Buddhism speaks of Three Thousand Worlds; our souls originate from other worlds."
Human King Fuxi was taken aback. "You come from another realm?"
"Indeed," Elder Brother Li confirmed. "We do not belong to this world and are not bound by fate's arrangements, which allows us to understand the Pangu Clan's connection to destiny."
"I see," Human King Fuxi responded.
Hanno then spoke up, "Not only do we know the secrets of the Pangu Clan and fate, but we also know your original destiny."
Human King Fuxi took this very seriously and quickly asked, "What was our original fate?"
Hanno replied, "Without us two, Si Tu Fen Ren would have grown up in an orphanage..."
Hanno detailed the plot of the second and third parts of I Have a Date with a Zombie to Human King Fuxi. Meanwhile, Jiang Chen and Mao Dingdang, having regained all their memories and understanding how they had been manipulated by Nüwa, approached to listen to Hanno's "story."
When they heard that Jiang Chen had killed Mao Dingdang for Nüwa, both Jiang Chen and Mao Dingdang's expressions changed dramatically. Jiang Chen tightly grasped Mao Dingdang's hand; they exchanged a glance filled with relief that Hanno and Elder Brother Li had entered their lives, allowing them to escape their originally tragic fates.
However, when Human King Fuxi heard about Chang'e and Yaochi Saint Mother's endings, his expression turned exceptionally grim. Even after Hanno finished recounting everything, his face remained unchanged.
“Have the fates of Jiang Chen and Mao Dingdang changed? Can my fate, along with that of the Yaochi Saint Mother and Chang'e, be altered?”
Hanno held a poor opinion of Chang'e—regardless of the world, although this world's Chang'e was a pitiful figure. He said, “The pathogens that Chang'e carries have too great an impact on humanity; it's better not to let her descend to Earth. She should remain on the Moon. As for you and the Yaochi Saint Mother, as long as you eliminate fate, your destinies will naturally change.”
Human King Fuxi replied, “But fate is too elusive and difficult to eradicate. We don’t even know where it is now.”
Hanno responded, “Fate has now transformed into The Book of Supreme Ultimate Governance and is currently beside He Youqiu. As for He Youqiu, he goes by the name Mr. Yi and is quite famous in Hong Kong's upper society; you can easily inquire about him.”
Human King Fuxi, being impulsive, wanted to investigate the information immediately but was restrained by Jiang Chen. “Don’t alert the enemy.”
After hearing this advice, Human King Fuxi returned to his seat and asked Hanno and Elder Brother Li, “You come from another world; do you have any methods to deal with fate?”
Elder Brother Li said, “There are methods, but I’m not sure if they will work.”
Human King Fuxi urged, “No need to hesitate; just tell me quickly.”
Elder Brother Li explained, “On Pure Yuan Great Land, there exists a formation aimed at targeting and eliminating spiritual consciousness; it should be able to eradicate fate.”
He took out a jade slip and tossed it to Human King Fuxi. “All the methods for setting up and manipulating it are inside. Whether you want to try it is up to you.”
Holding the jade slip, Human King Fuxi left. A month later, Qiu Shu returned with his brother He Youqiu, who had become a fool—believing he had mastered The Book of Supreme Ultimate Governance and could change fate to save his deceased girlfriend, he was instead regarded as a tool by the master of fate.
