Hanno had spent five years in ancient times before returning to the modern world. There was no way around it; Chang Miao's due date had arrived. As her close friend and cousin, Hanno naturally came to the hospital to await the birth of the child, taking on the role of the baby's godmother and aunt. 0

When Hanno arrived at the hospital, she caught the moment when Chang Miao was being taken into the delivery room. Outside, Chang Miao's husband, Shen Chuiyang, paced anxiously, wearing a path in the floor. Unable to bear his distress, Hanno approached him and gently patted his arm, trying to comfort the soon-to-be father. "Don't worry; giving birth isn't such a big deal. In a little while, your son will be out here to meet you." 0

It wasn't like ancient times when childbirth was a matter of life and death. In modern times, giving birth was as safe as could be; even in cases of complications, there were options like cesarean sections. 0

Shen Chuiyang forced a smile. "You sound so experienced." 0

"I am experienced," Hanno replied. "I waited outside when Yang Yun was giving birth. That was truly dangerous, but she ended up delivering safely, didn't she?" 0

"I know you're right, but I can't help feeling worried and tense. That's my wife and child in there." 0

"You're such a silly dad." Hanno decided not to press him further and walked over to where Aunt Han and Uncle Han were sitting on a bench. "Second Aunt, Uncle, are you hungry? I'll go buy something for you to eat." 0

Chang Miao had gone into labor at five-thirty in the afternoon, and the three of them had been too worried about her to eat dinner. 0

Aunt Han replied with concern, "I can't eat." 0

Well, Uncle Han would probably say the same thing. Hanno decided not to ask any further. She would go get some food and set it aside for later when everyone’s emotions calmed down and they felt hungry again. 0

Next to the hospital was a fried chicken fast-food restaurant. Hanno bought a family bucket and headed back to the delivery room. Just as she stepped out of the elevator, she heard Shen Chuiyang's excited voice ringing out: "I'm a dad! I'm a dad!" 0

This kind of scene often unfolded outside delivery rooms—nurses arranging for mothers and babies while guiding family members back to their wards and bringing out well-handled newborns for relatives to see. Hanno peeked in and saw a little red-skinned monkey of a baby—adorably ugly—and it struck a chord in her heart, sparking her desire to have a baby of her own. 0

With determination, Hanno stormed back home and grabbed Elder Brother Li by his collar. "Let's have a baby!" 0

Elder Brother Li was taken aback for a moment before breaking into a smile. "Sure!" 0

...I am the dividing line between the efforts of two people to create life... 0

After a night of intimacy, Hanno lazily got up, finished the breakfast prepared by the servants, and turned back to the modern world. Chang Miao had already awakened and was nursing the baby. During her pregnancy, she had been well taken care of by Aunt Han and Uncle Han, taking various supplements, so as soon as the baby latched on, milk flowed easily. The breast pump Shen Chuiyang bought was completely unnecessary. The child was a boy, with eyebrows and eyes like his father, and a nose and mouth resembling his mother. He inherited the best traits from both parents and was a beautiful baby. 0

Hanno reached out and poked the baby's cheek. Watching the infant squirm uncomfortably, she couldn't help but feel immense affection: "Chang Miao, can I play with your son for a bit? Don't worry, I'll take good care of him." 0

"Not a chance." Chang Miao shot Hanno a fierce glare. "If you want a son so badly, go have one yourself." 0

"Fine, I'll have my own." Hanno huffed, placing her hand over her belly where two lives were already forming, even though they had just begun to develop. This was due to Hanno using True Essence last night to stimulate two eggs in her uterus to intercept Elder Brother Li's sperm; being a Cultivator certainly had its advantages. Although being pregnant would lower Hanno's cultivation level, she didn't care about that little bit of power for the sake of her adorable child. With the Porcelain Jar as her reverse golden finger, regaining her cultivation would be easy. Besides, in this world, there was no one with higher cultivation than her, and it was relatively peaceful here; even if she didn't regain her power right away, nothing could threaten her safety. 0

Seeing Hanno's expression, Chang Miao speculated and asked quietly, "You can't really be pregnant, can you?" 0

Hanno lowered her hand and smiled mysteriously: "What do you think?" 0

Chang Miao's doubtful gaze roamed over Hanno three times before she said, "The way you're acting tells me something's off. But you've been cooped up at home hatching eggs this whole time without hooking up with any man. Where would you get sperm to get pregnant? So you must have dreamed that you were pregnant." 0

Hanno replied: "...Yes, I dreamed it." 0

Just wait until I give birth to show off. 0

After feeding the baby enough, Chang Miao handed him over to the nurse so she could take him back to the Nursery for some rest. Stretching her body, she asked: "The cultivation novel you've been writing lately isn't very interesting. I don't like stories with male protagonists; can you write one with a female lead instead?" 0

"Damn it! You're already pregnant and still browsing online?" 0

"I can only go online for an hour, and I have to wear a radiation-proof vest, so it won't affect the baby." 0

"That's true. Second Aunt, Uncle Han, and even your husband are all keeping an eye on you, so they definitely won't let you do anything harmful to the baby." 0

When Chang Miao heard this, her face filled with sadness. "Don't mention it. For the sake of this child, I haven't been able to do anything these past few months. It's just eating and sleeping, then being forced by my mom to take walks and exercise. It's so boring! Once I finish my confinement period, I'm going to do whatever I want." 0

"Oh, then feel free." Hanno, who had never experienced pregnancy, couldn't understand Chang Miao's "suffering" and casually shrugged. 0

"Hey, how about you write a story with a female lead?" Chang Miao recalled something from before and continued to ask. 0

"What's wrong with my male lead stories? Many male readers think they're great! It's just you who keeps dreaming about romantic tales," Hanno replied. 0

Chang Miao snorted. "I'm a woman; what's wrong with that? You just write what you want!" 0

"Alright, alright, I'll write," Hanno relented. "But I have no ideas; I don't know what to write about." 0

Chang Miao paused for a moment before her eyes lit up as she spotted a historical drama playing on the television. "How about writing a fanfiction for Flower Thousand Bones? Make Light Water the main character." 0

"You like Light Water?" Hanno asked as he saw Chang Miao nodding. He couldn't help but say, "What's so great about her? I actually think Niman is better." 0

"Niman is good too," Chang Miao replied. "But I really want to read fanfiction featuring Light Water. There are plenty of fanfictions with Niman as the main character online, but almost none with Light Water." 0

“Because Niman is quite pitiful,” Hanno complained. “This kid is just proud and jealous of Flower Thousand Bones. Although what he did earlier was wrong, it was merely childish mischief. How does that compare to the trouble Flower Thousand Bones caused? She unleashed a demon god, transformed into one herself, and brought countless disasters to the cultivation world. Besides, Niman only killed one Sugar Baby, while Flower Thousand Bones has killed many, including Lian Luo Eleven, whom she personally killed. Why does everyone think Niman is bad while Flower Thousand Bones is good? Just because she’s the main character?” 0

Chang Miao agreed wholeheartedly. “I used to really like Flower Thousand Bones when I watched it before, and I found Niman a bit annoying. But after the drama aired, my impression completely flipped. The Flower Thousand Bones in the show looks so fake; instead, Niman seems more likable.” 0

Hanno echoed Chang Miao’s sentiments. “I only watched a few episodes of the drama before losing interest. My mom, on the other hand, was glued to it. Every time they aired five or six episodes, the sound would blare into my ears; I couldn’t help but listen. As a result, I ended up hearing the entire plot of the show. Poor me; my ears have suffered.” 0

After they vented about the drama for a while, Shen Chuiyang came in with some chicken soup to take care of Chang Miao. Hanno stood up to leave and returned home. Once there, he opened his computer and connected to the internet, where he promptly received a message from Snow Vegetable asking what he would write next. 0

“A Promise is Worth a Thousand Gold”: The next piece will be a fanfiction of Flower Thousand Bones, featuring Light Water as the main character. 0

Snow Vegetable: Light Water? That’s a pretty cold setting, and not many people like Light Water. But since you’re writing it, it’s bound to be exciting. Looking forward to your new work! Rose emoji. 0

At noon, Elder Brother Li usually had lunch at the military camp, so Hanno didn’t go back home. After simply eating a piece of bread, he began brainstorming a new outline titled “One Garment and Water from Flower Thousand Bones.” 0

In this story, a modern girl travels back in time to become Light Water, a princess of Zhou Kingdom. When she is sent to Eternal Immortal Mountain, Light Water finally realizes she has crossed over into a tragic supporting role. Her tragedy stems from Meng Xuanlang; although in the drama he eventually finds Light Water and takes her back to Shu Kingdom, does Meng Xuanlang truly love Light Water? Or is it guilt and gratitude that leads him to accept her? In fact, by the end of the drama, Light Water ends up foolishly lost in her emotions. The girl sympathizes with Light Water and feels that loving so deeply is exhausting; she doesn’t want to follow the same fate as Light Water in the original story and decides to break free from her destiny by resolutely refusing to be with Meng Xuanlang. 0

Upon arriving at Eternal Immortal Mountain, Light Water sets her goal: to cultivate immortality and become an immortal like the Five Great Immortals—living for thousands of years and escaping worldly affairs to become a true cultivator. Faced with characters from the plot, she remains indifferent; she neither befriends Flower Thousand Bones nor antagonizes Niman. She treats everyone lightly and thus gains quite a good reputation, eventually becoming a disciple of Confucian Master Sheng Xiao Mo. 0

When Meng Xuanlang loses his throne and decides on Restoration of the State, Bai Zihua approaches Light Water for help just as in the original story. To persuade Zhou Wang to send troops, Light Water tacitly agrees to their false transmission of Zhou Wang’s decree that Meng Xuanlang is a noble from Zhou Kingdom who needs assistance in regaining his position. After all, she never considered marrying anyone; even if she bore the title of Meng Xuanlang's fiancée, it was no big deal. 0

As the plot progresses further, Meng Xuanlang is completely rejected by Flower Thousand Bones and learns from a general that Light Water sacrificed her reputation to help him restore his state. Deeply moved, he rushes to Eternal Immortal Mountain to find Light Water. He believes that Light Water has feelings for him and intends to marry her. However, Light Water coldly rejects him and asks, “What makes you think you deserve me? I don’t want a man who has feelings for another woman!” 0
