"But I see that Earth is very calm, with no signs of an alien invasion at all," Hanno said, puzzled.
Zhu Wenrui replied, "That's because all the aliens have been kept outside of Earth. The ordinary public is still unaware of the alien invasion."
"Can they really be kept out? That's impressive," Hanno remarked as he unleashed his Divine Sense. The power of a Sage's Divine Sense immediately soared beyond Earth, allowing him to see the scene in outer space clearly. Upon seeing the dense array of various Starships, Hanno and his companions furrowed their brows.
Zhu Wenrui sighed, "It's not that we are keeping the aliens out; rather, those aliens do not want to destroy Earth's resources. They intend to use their overwhelming force to compel humanity to surrender voluntarily, which is why they haven't attacked but are instead surrounding Earth in outer space as a deterrent."
Long Wenwen asked, "Can't we Cultivators defeat the aliens?"
Zhu Wenrui explained, "When the aliens first arrived, the government sought help from the cultivation world, and cultivators were dispatched to outer space to target the aliens. However, while Cultivators are indeed powerful individually, they cannot withstand the combined forces of the alien Starship fleets. Although the aliens are stronger than ordinary humans, they cannot match our martial artists; it's just that their technology is advanced and their weapons are incredibly powerful. The combined forces of Earth's technology and Cultivators could not withstand them, resulting in many injuries among our Cultivators."
"Injured?" Long Wenwen couldn't sit still anymore. She stood up and asked, "Who got hurt? Did anyone from Qingcheng Sect get injured? Where are the injured now?"
Zhu Wenrui replied, "The Sect Leader of Qingcheng Sect was injured, as well as Mu Xuan Laozu, Grand Elder Dongxu from Wei Yu Mountain, Zhu Ming Laozu, and Canghan Zhenren from Mount Luofu. They have all been sent to the Qingcheng Mountain Secret Realm to recuperate."
Long Wenwen immediately grabbed Jia Qianjun's arm. "Let's go visit Master and Senior Brother at Qingcheng Mountain."
Jia Qianjun understood Long Wenwen's feelings and wrapped his arms around her waist. In an instant, they vanished before Hanno and the others.
Elder Brother Li turned to Zhu Wenrui and said, "Continue! With Jia Qianjun around, those injured Cultivators will surely recover quickly."
Zhu Wenrui was puzzled. "I didn't expect Director Jia to be a Cultivator. When I met him, he was just an ordinary person. How did he become so formidable all of a sudden?"
Hanno said, "In his previous life, he was Eastern Emperor Taiyi. Now he has regained his memories and cultivation."
"What?! A great deity!" Zhu Wenrui was left speechless. He never imagined that his acting partner and companion in discussing beauties would turn out to be such an extraordinary figure. Zhu Wenrui couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. "But it doesn't matter; ever since the Cultivators suffered defeat, leaders in our country and others have been arguing endlessly about whether to surrender."
"What about our country?" Elder Brother Li asked.
"Naturally unwilling to surrender. There's an old saying in Huaxia: 'Better to die standing than live on your knees.' As for me, I will not yield."
"Then let's fight back against the aliens and drive them back to their lair," Hanno snorted. If they wanted to invade Earth, they had better consider whether we would allow it. After all, there are three Sages on Earth now; each one could obliterate a Tenth-Level Civilization—let alone a mere Fourth-Level Civilization.
Zhu Wenrui smiled wryly, "Sister, if we could handle them, we would have done it long ago. Those aliens not only have Starships but also the rumored mechs, which are powerful enough to leave us helpless."
"Mechs?" Hanno blinked her eyes and laughed, "I have mechs! If you hadn't mentioned it, I almost forgot that I still have them in my space."
"What?" Zhu Wenrui stared blankly, blinking his eyes. "You have mechs? The kind I'm thinking of?"
Hanno chuckled, "Why don't you see for yourself? Come on, let's find an open area so you can witness the true power of a mech!"
She reached out and grabbed Zhu Wenrui's arm, and in the next moment, the three of them appeared in a valley on Feng Yi Mountain.
"Damn, next time you teleport, give me a heads-up. I'm just an ordinary person; I can't compare to your strong bodies as Cultivators." As soon as Zhu Wenrui landed, he fell to the ground and started gagging.
Hanno awkwardly scratched her nose. "Sorry about that; I got too excited and forgot your body couldn't handle it. Here, take this Bone Strengthening Pill. It'll definitely make your body incredibly strong, comparable to a Foundation Establishment Period cultivator."
"Thanks!" Zhu Wenrui knew that Hanno's gifts were definitely good stuff. He quickly grabbed the Bone Strengthening Pill and swallowed it. Instantly, all discomfort vanished; his bones cracked and popped as he felt a surge of strength throughout his body. Zhu Wenrui punched a nearby boulder the size of a grinding stone without using any internal energy, and it shattered into dust.
"Wow, that's strong!" Zhu Wenrui exclaimed excitedly, looking at Hanno. "With such an amazing pill, I believe your mechs are real too."
"They're definitely real. Now let me show you my partner—Fire of Departure!" As she spoke, a massive red mech suddenly appeared in the clearing of the valley.
Staring at the imposing and elegantly designed mech, Zhu Wenrui felt his mouth water. Martial arts and mechs were two great dreams for men; having already mastered martial arts, he naturally yearned even more for a mech.
Hanno beamed as she connected with Fire of Departure and entered inside it.
"Why did you keep me asleep for so long without contacting me?" Fire of Departure's voice sounded plaintive.
"I'm sorry, Fire of Departure; it won't happen again. I'll let you come out more often," Hanno quickly apologized. She truly felt guilty for neglecting Fire of Departure after leaving the interstellar world; she shouldn't have forgotten about it since it was bound to her soul.
Zhu Wenrui envied Fire of Departure and was even more envious of Hanno; he wished he could pilot a mech too!
Suddenly, he sensed a disturbance nearby. Turning his head to look, he gasped—another mech! The blue mech was just as impressive as the red one.
“Wei Feng, you have a mech too?” Zhu Wenrui asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
“Yes, this is my partner, Cloudwalker. Do you want to hop on and experience it?” Elder Brother Li offered.
“Of course!” Zhu Wenrui nodded eagerly, filled with excitement.
Elder Brother Li grabbed Zhu Wenrui's wrist. “Don't resist.”
In the next moment, the two appeared in the control room of Cloudwalker.
Looking around the somewhat spacious control room, Zhu Wenrui exclaimed, “So this is the inside of a mech! It's a bit different from what I imagined.”
“How is it different?” Elder Brother Li asked while communicating with Cloudwalker through his mind, multitasking as he spoke to Zhu Wenrui.
“Aren't there supposed to be lots of cool equipment and control buttons in the cockpit? How else can you operate a mech?” Zhu Wenrui explained based on his understanding.
Elder Brother Li chuckled at his words. “That kind of setup belongs to the most basic mechs. My Cloudwalker is a top-tier bio-intelligent mech with its own intelligence, connected to my mind. I control it using mental energy without any extra buttons.”
“Cloudwalker, say hello to Mr. Zhu.”
Then Zhu Wenrui heard a voice that sounded like a deep male tone but was quite flat: “Mr. Zhu, hello. I am Cloudwalker. It's a pleasure to meet you.”
“Y-you, hello!” Zhu Wenrui stuttered in excitement. Wow, an AI intelligence—an AI with such high intelligence that has independent thinking! And it's an AI for a mech! Where did Wei Feng get this? Could it be that the powerful being from the cultivation ruins he inherited once broke through space to travel to the Interstellar Era and brought back a mech as a souvenir, which ended up benefiting Li Wei Feng?
At that moment, Hanno's voice came through: “Wei Feng, shall we go into outer space and play with those aliens?”
Li Wei Feng was very obedient to his wife; whatever she said was what he would do. “Sure.”
Hanno continued, “If we use our own powers, those aliens wouldn't stand a chance. Let's agree not to use our own strength and just let Cloudwalker and Fire of Departure play with them instead. How does that sound?”
Li Wei Feng replied, “Cloudwalker and Fire of Departure are both incredibly powerful on their own. If we let them go all out, you definitely won't have enough fun. Let's just allow them to use half of their strength.”
"Alright." Hanno happily hung up the call.
Zhu Wenrui, filled with disbelief and concern, said, "Wei Feng, don't underestimate those aliens. Their weapons are incredibly powerful, and they have mechs. You only have two mechs, and they're only at half strength; you won't be able to defeat them."
Elder Brother Li laughed confidently, "We won't underestimate anyone. Don't worry, Fire of Departure and Cloudwalker are exceptional. They are the top-tier mechs of Tenth-Level Civilization, and they can easily take down Fourth-Level Civilization mechs."
"That's right!" Cloudwalker chimed in, its flat voice carrying a hint of pride. "Fire of Departure and I are the fighter jets among mechs; our strength is unmatched."
Wow, that Northeast accent—could it be that the universal language used by the Interstellar Civilization that created Cloudwalker is actually Northeast dialect?
Elder Brother Li had a black line across his forehead. "Cloudwalker, where did you learn that?"
"Well, I've been watching some interesting variety shows from Earth," Cloudwalker replied.
Elder Brother Li sweatdropped while Zhu Wenrui covered his mouth to stifle a laugh.
"Hold on tight." Elder Brother Li reminded Zhu Wenrui before Cloudwalker suddenly took off. Zhu Wenrui lost his balance and fell off his chair. By the time he climbed back onto the chair and settled in, the view from Cloudwalker had already changed. The vast dark space below revealed a gigantic blue planet that looked as beautiful as a sapphire.
"Have we really reached outer space?" Zhu Wenrui exclaimed in shock. He knew that with Earth's technology, it took quite some time to break through the atmosphere and leave the planet. Even powerful beings from the cultivation world took a considerable amount of time to reach outer space for battle.
"Yes," Elder Brother Li replied. "If it weren't for considering your body's ability to handle it, Cloudwalker could go even faster!"
"Wow!" Zhu Wenrui was amazed. "Is this the huge gap in technology?"
