A group quietly left through the VIP Passage, while Wang Bolin and two others stayed behind to investigate the cause of the plane's accident and to repair it before flying it back. 0

Higashizaki Nishiki arranged for everyone to rest in the lounge and sent his subordinates to buy clothes. Gao Zhijie couldn't help but feel suspicious. "How did you know our sizes?" 0

"Your superiors provided that information. After all, it wouldn't be convenient for you to go directly to the airport; that would attract too much attention," Higashizaki explained. "But rest assured, this data will be destroyed as soon as you leave Japanese airspace." 0

"Listening to you makes me even less at ease," Gao Zhijie replied with a cold smile. 0

Higashizaki laughed even more heartily. "I know that the Chinese people have many prejudices against us." 0

Gao Zhijie interrupted him, "What do you mean by prejudice? The things your country has done have caused us harm, and yet you say we have prejudice?" 0

Zhang Jun frowned slightly. Although he was also displeased, interrupting someone was clearly an uncouth act. Even Chen Rui, who often disregarded rules, remained silent. Zhang Jun shot a glare at Gao Zhijie and put on a smile. "Please continue." 0

"I'm sorry if my way of expressing myself was problematic. Let's set aside the events of a century ago for now; our most critical issue at hand is to collaborate and perfectly initiate this plan. I admit that my country caused great harm to your people a century ago, but that wasn't my doing." As he finished speaking, Higashizaki's smile grew even brighter, so radiant that it made everyone feel uneasy. 0

"By the way, how long will we be staying in Tokyo?" Chen Rui casually shifted the dull topic. In truth, he hadn't been paying attention to their conversation earlier. 0

"Right, I apologize for this as well. Due to Flight being fully booked, you all must stay in Tokyo for a while, or you can stay here too. We can't just pull someone off the plane to make room for you; that would be too rude," Higashizaki's smile changed slightly; although he was still smiling, it was noticeably more restrained than before. 0

"Well, I happen to have a place I really want to visit in Tokyo," Chen Rui said with a smile, suddenly noticing the various looks from those around him. 0

"What are you all staring at? What's wrong with me? Why are you looking at me like that?" 0

"It's nothing. If you need to move around, we will have personnel assigned for your protection to ensure nothing like what happened on the plane occurs again," Higashizaki said with a pointed smile. 0

"You..." Xiang Xiao was starting to get angry. 0

"That's troublesome," Zhang Jun said with a slight smile. Since the other party had taken the initiative, he might as well accept it; after all, he was likely being watched now. 0

The door was pushed open, and several men in suits walked in, carrying a large stack of boxes. Higashizaki looked at them and said, "Why don't you all check if your outfits are satisfactory first? You can take a bath and change afterward." 0

Chen Rui picked up two boxes marked with "izun," each containing 1g of something, and couldn't help but chuckle. "You really have a generous budget." Chen Rui's statement was accurate; even the clothes prepared for himself were from a luxury sports brand. The brands that the group around him were holding were even more prestigious. It was conservatively estimated that the total cost of their outfits could rival the expenses for an entire person's dream entry fee in the country. 0

"We have no choice; your current worth is far greater than these clothes," Higashizaki replied honestly. At least so far, the value of this group of people was indeed much higher than those garments. 0

The group stopped chatting and headed toward the bathroom with their respective boxes. 0

They had no interest in enjoying a bath; after rinsing off, they quickly changed into their clothes, resembling soldiers. According to Zhang Jun, this was called "I don’t care how things are at home; outside, I must earn my face!" 0

However, one person was reluctant to comply. Chen Rui, who believed in enjoying life to the fullest and relished every moment of comfort, stubbornly refused to follow the group's pace and dawdled out of the bathroom—though he was actually dragged out. 0

"There's plenty of time; why rush?" Chen Rui complained while getting dressed. 0

Zhang Jun remained silent, but Xiang Xiao couldn't hold back and snapped at Chen Rui, "Is it really necessary to compete over something trivial?" 0

Chen Rui stopped arguing and fell into step with the group's brisk pace. Soon enough, a peculiar group appeared on the flight to Tokyo. 0

They were peculiar because each member dressed meticulously, each with their own style—even their sportswear was chosen with great care. What was most puzzling was that every member of this 'luxurious travel group' exhibited a military-like demeanor; even during the flight, they maintained a straight posture without engaging in any other activities. 0

Sitting behind them, Higashizaki Nishiki couldn't help but smile at the sight. He shook his head slightly and pulled out a magazine to read. 0

The flight from Kagoshima to Tokyo was quick, lasting less than a minute in actual flying time. Even so, maintaining a standard sitting posture for that brief period left Chen Rui feeling miserable. He glanced at Zhang Jun and ultimately gave up on leaning back against his seat. 0

After disembarking from the plane, Higashizaki stopped everyone. "It's not that I'm meddling; it's just that your actions are too eye-catching," he said as he pulled out his phone, tapped a few times to open a webpage, and handed it to them. "You’ve already made the news." 0

Most of the people present couldn't understand Japanese, but could they not comprehend the photos? The two high-resolution images displayed on the webpage clearly showed everyone's faces. The first image was taken when they passed through the VIP Passage, and the second was captured just moments ago when they agreed to standard seating positions on the plane. 0

Chen Rui was not among those who couldn't understand; he immediately noticed the headline, "The VIPs descending resemble the Imperial Guard." The content specifically described Chen Rui and his companions' emergency landing of flight G65, which was portrayed in civil aviation as a failed secret mission returning... 0

Chen Rui felt overwhelmed and quickly said to Zhang Jun, "We need to disperse; this is too conspicuous. Let's regroup when boarding!" 0

Although Zhang Jun couldn't read Japanese, he agreed to Chen Rui's suggestion after seeing his expression. "Then let's meet at Haneda Airport's Lounge 6 before 15:00 local time. Now that we're dispersed, it will be up to them." He returned his phone to Higashizaki. "It was our oversight." 0

After dialing a number, Higashizaki spoke a few coded phrases before addressing everyone, "You can go about freely; our people will find you in about five minutes. They will all be wearing black suits with red ties and will be Chinese, so if you can't find them, that's on them." 0

Everyone nodded and dispersed into the crowd as they exited the airport. 0

Once outside, Chen Rui heard a familiar voice behind him. "Don't you have somewhere you want to go? I can take you there." 0

Higashizaki approached Chen Rui and offered him a piece of gum. Chen Rui waved his hand. "Why are you following me?" 0

"I'm very interested in you." 0

"Hey! What do you mean by that?" Chen Rui quickly distanced himself from Higashizaki. 0

"You misunderstood; I'm interested in you as a person. I think we might collaborate often in the future," Higashizaki explained with a smile. "So, where do you want to go?" 0

"I want to go to Akihabara! Follow me!" Chen Rui gestured confidently, resembling a leader. Higashizaki chuckled and followed him. "Going to Akihabara? I'll call a car." 0

"No need; I won't take a car to Akihabara. Plus, isn't calling a car an easy way to get tracked? Let's take the subway." 0

"No! Have you ever been to Tokyo? You seem more familiar with it than I am!" 0

"I've never been here, but I always feel like I have, for some reason." Chen Rui was puzzled by this thought; there was indeed a faint sense of familiarity. 0

... 0

Senso-ji 0

"Is this where you wanted to come? Do you have someone special in mind? Come here." Higashizaki looked at Chen Rui with a mischievous grin. 0

Chen Rui ignored him and drew a fortune stick, quickly finding the corresponding text. 0

Higashizaki walked over in surprise. "This feels so familiar; you must have been here before." 0

Chen Rui didn't look at the fortune text but carefully pondered every detail in his memory, yet he couldn't find any recollection of Tokyo. Unconsciously, he began to walk out of the temple, instinctively wanting to go somewhere else. 0

Higashizaki studied the fortune seriously: Great luck! Fame will come your way; three hopes will lead to a change. A noble person will guide you; fruits will be fresh in season. Turning around, he realized Chen Rui had already left. 0

Higashizaki hurried after him, panting, "Where are you going now?" 0

"I don't know," Chen Rui replied, looking up and thinking, 'Have I really forgotten something?' 0

"Are you just going by your feelings again?" 0

Chen Rui chuckled at that remark. "Yes, I'm going by my feelings!" 0

... 0

Meiji Shrine 0

"Wait a little longer; I feel he'll come back." A girl tugged at the person beside her. The five people around her instinctively lowered their heads upon hearing her words. Seeing they had no reaction, the girl squatted down beside them. "You all go ahead; I'll wait here." 0

Another girl crouched down. "Sheryl, he’s not coming back. You need to know… he… won’t come back…" The girl began to sob. "You have to understand!" 0

"No, he’s still alive, isn’t he? Sister Wang, didn’t you say he was still alive?" The girl called Sheryl remained relatively calm. 0

"I did say that, but I couldn’t find him… he must be missing." Sister Wang looked at Sheryl, her eyes reddening. 0

"Enough of this, let’s go home." A slender man wrapped his arms around Sheryl, comforting her. 0

In his embrace, Sheryl finally shed tears. "I know you all think I’m crazy, that I’ve lost my mind, but I just hold onto a little bit of hope. Isn’t that allowed?" Her voice grew softer. 0

"We all know, we all know," the man reassured her, gently stroking the girl’s head. 0

"No! You don’t understand! You think I’m insane! Otherwise, why would you pretend like this in front of me? I know he’s dead! He’s dead! He’s dead! The reason we can’t find his body is that it vaporized in the heat!" Sheryl broke free from the man’s embrace and shouted furiously at the other five. 0

Suddenly, Sheryl stopped roaring and stared intently at a figure in the distance. 0

The other five followed her gaze and were collectively stunned. 0

Sheryl was the first to snap back to reality and dashed forward. 0

"What are you doing dragging me around to temples?" Higashizaki lamented as he accompanied Chen Rui from one shrine to another. Some were tourist spots, while others were barely known even to locals. Higashizaki believed Chen Rui had definitely been to Tokyo and had stayed for a while. 0

"Just one more, okay? I really appreciate your help," Chen Rui smiled apologetically. 0

As Chen Rui turned to look ahead, he suddenly noticed a woman running towards them. The unexpected situation caught him off guard, but Higashizaki reacted much faster. He immediately crouched down and pulled out a black object from his ankle before standing up quickly to shield Chen Rui. 0

"Don't shoot!" Chen Rui exclaimed urgently. 0

"I'm doing this to protect your safety. I won't act unless absolutely necessary," Higashizaki said, holstering his weapon and adopting a defensive stance in front of Chen Rui. 0

"Come back!" Higashizaki shouted at the woman who was running toward them. 0

"Zijing," the woman called out to him in Chinese, her voice tinged with sobs. 0

Just as the woman was about to run past Higashizaki, he moved his right hand forward and pushed her down to the ground. 0

"What are you doing?" Not far away, five more people were running toward them, one of whom, a slender man, shouted angrily. 0

"Sheryl!" a girl rushed to Sheryl's side, completely ignoring the man standing nearby. 0

Higashizaki felt a bit dizzy, but his duty kept him alert. "Warning! Come back! Otherwise, you'll face the consequences!" Suddenly realizing that this group was Chinese, he turned to Chen Rui and asked, "Are they your friends?" 0

"I don't know them," Chen Rui shook his head. He had just taken a close look at the girl's face; he truly… did not recognize her. 0
