"One hundred rings?" Zhou Zhi exclaimed, crying out as he shook Chen Rui's shoulders violently. "Did you cheat? Answer me! Did you cheat? You must have cheated!" 0

Chen Rui forced a smile. He had been led here by them and hadn't complained yet, but now he was being accused of cheating. How could he cheat when he didn't even know these people or had ever been here before? Was he a god? 0

Li Li noticeably pulled the frantic Zhou Zhi away, scolding him with a laugh, "Alright, alright, you pig! You've never won before; this is just normal." 0

As Zhou Zhi released him, Chen Rui noticed that the others didn't seem surprised by his shooting skills; it was as if they expected it. 0

The reason for Chen Rui's good marksmanship was simple. Before joining the company, every employee had to undergo six months of military training to sharpen their willpower. During that time, Chen Rui spent his own money on extra bullets for target practice. Initially, it was just for fun, but before he knew it, his shooting skills had improved significantly. 0

Additionally, in some of his dreams, he needed to use weapons, which further enhanced his proficiency. 0

Shooting relied on two things: talent and ammunition. With both in hand, one could achieve great results with less effort. Chen Rui belonged to this category of people. 0

"Alright, shooting at fixed targets isn't much fun. Let's move on to the moving targets. Mr. Li is hungry and is just playing along with you all, right Mr. Li?" Zhou Yan sighed and urged everyone on. Clearly, he was also displeased with Chen Rui's easy victory but wasn't as neurotic as Zhou Zhi; he simply wanted everyone to proceed to the next activity quickly. 0

They walked to another Shooting Range. This range had a path in the middle aside from each shooting window, presumably for advancing while shooting. 0

"Who wants to go first?" Luo Dong asked with a smile and then explained specifically to Chen Rui, "This Target Area was originally designed to be divided into two parts. However, moving targets were too easy to hit, so they kept only one event: this advancing shooting. There are a total of forty targets along the way, with a distance of one hundred fifty meters. Among them, fifteen targets involve hostage situations; hitting a target scores one point, but hitting a hostage results in immediate disqualification. The final score is calculated by dividing forty points by the score achieved and multiplying it by the time taken." 0

After listening, Chen Rui nodded. The scoring method was similar to that used in some military evaluations back home, and the rule about disqualifying for hitting hostages was very much like the strict training protocols in domestic special forces—no room for error. 0

"So, who will go first?" Luo Dong asked again, his slightly raised lips and mischievous grin indicating that he was like a thorny rose. 0

Zhou Zhi raised his hand and laughed loudly, "I'll go first! This bunch is too cowardly; if no one leads the way, we might waste time until lunchtime!" 0

Zhou Zhi walked to the entrance of the Target Area, disengaged the safety on his gun, and confirmed his readiness. He gave a thumbs-up with his left hand. Luo Dong held a stopwatch in his hand and smiled at Zhou Zhi's gesture before saying, "Ready... 1, start!" 0

As soon as the starting signal sounded, the barrier at the entrance of the Target Area opened immediately, revealing a country road made of a hodgepodge of blue bricks, red bricks, sand, and cement right in front of Zhou Zhi. Without hesitation, Zhou Zhi dashed forward. 0

"Damn! These people are all the same; they never follow the countdown rules. I thought Wang Xinzhuo was deliberately trying to mess with me, but it seems they are all used to this routine." 0

"Bang, bang, bang!" After the crisp sound of three shots, three moving targets clustered together fell to the ground. Zhou Zhi smiled and sprinted ahead. 0

The road in the Target Area was not a straight line but a winding path through artificial hills. Various moving targets popped up continuously on both sides of the road. As he progressed, the number of hostage targets among the moving targets increased, and Zhou Zhi's shooting frequency noticeably decreased. After all, hitting a hostage meant immediate disqualification without discussion, so even if he took time to aim, he couldn't afford to miss. 0

Half a minute later, with the final gunshot, the last hostage target slowly fell. Zhou Zhi disengaged the safety on his gun and stepped out, removing his blindfold as beads of sweat streamed down his forehead. 0

Zhou Yan hurriedly pulled out a tissue and wiped the sweat from his face. Looking at Zhou Zhi, who was panting heavily, he complained, "I told you to exercise more; now look at you—exhausted." 0

Zhou Zhi smiled lightly. "Exhausted? As long as you're alive, that's what matters." 0

"Get lost." Zhou Yan lightly punched his chest. The heavy and rapid heartbeat resonated through Zhou Yan's palm, causing a blush to rise on his face. 0

As Luo Dong entered the Target Area to change the target paper and emerged shortly after, he was immediately surrounded. Clearing his throat, Luo Dong announced, "Cough cough, Zhou Zhi, no hostages hit, thirty-nine targets hit in one minute and forty-seven seconds. Overall score: one hundred nine point seventy-four seconds. Currently in first place." 0

The last phrase about being in first place made everyone laugh; this score wasn't particularly impressive, so being first was merely temporary. 0

Seeing Zhou Zhi's expression turn cold, Zhou Yan felt an inexplicable discomfort in his heart and tried to comfort him. "It's okay; you were the first one. Anyone else would have done the same." 0

Indeed, this event became easier for them as they progressed. They weren't like real soldiers who trained for this constantly; thus, the first person often had the worst score because those who followed had already learned from their mistakes and experiences, making it unlikely for them to repeat them. 0

"Who’s second?" Luo Dong reset the timer as the barrier at the entrance of the Target Area closed automatically. Standing at the entrance with a smile, Luo Dong said, "It only gets harder from here on out, so better get ready." 0

"I!" Qin Xin laughed as he walked to the entrance of the Target Area, grinning at Zhou Zhi. "Don't worry, I'm definitely stronger than you, hahaha!" 0

Zhou Zhi rolled his eyes and retorted, "Not necessarily. With your kind of gaze, you might just mistake the hostage for a target and shoot them dead without a second thought." 0

"You..." Qin Xin stopped engaging in banter with Zhou Zhi, clicked off the safety on his gun, took a step back with his right leg, and leaned slightly forward, like a lion poised to pounce on a deer it had set its sights on. 0

"Start." 0

Qin Xin dashed inside, and the sound of gunfire echoed once again in the basement. 0

"What was the result? Did you hit the hostage?" Seeing Luo Dong emerge from the Target Area, Zhou Zhi approached him with a grin. Qin Xin shot him a glare and moved closer to see how he had performed. 0

"Look at this." Luo Dong pulled out a target sheet featuring the hostage. The bullet holes were positioned quite delicately, having grazed the side of the hostage's neck and struck one of the kidnappers instead. However, presenting it now gave it an entirely different flavor. 0

"At this distance..." Li Li stroked his chin, clearly analyzing whether the bullet passing by the hostage's neck could have harmed them. 0

Chen Rui glanced over; the edge of the bullet hole was nearly touching the hostage's neck. Even if the bullet's energy had expanded the hole as it passed through the target paper, it was still only about a centimeter away from the hostage's neck. At this range, the bullet's energy could easily cause harm. If it nicked an artery, there would be no saving them. 0

"This can't count, right? Look, it didn't hit. As long as it didn't hit, that's fine. Don't sweat the details," Qin Xin switched to his shameless mode, clearly realizing the flaw in his argument and trying to wriggle out of it. 0

Luo Dong chuckled knowingly and pulled out another target sheet for everyone to see. "Alright then, let's disregard that one. What about this one?" 0

Upon seeing this new target sheet, Zhou Zhi burst into laughter. The hostage's head on the paper was clearly marked with a bullet hole resembling a peanut. Qin Xin sighed in exasperation at this sight. Seeing Zhou Zhi's beaming face only fueled his irritation as he scolded playfully, "You bastard! If you can't do it yourself, don't curse others! Look at what you've done to me!" 0

"Good deed? Of course it's a good deed," Zhou Zhi replied with a smile. 0

"Alright, let's hurry up. I'm starving from all this waiting..." Luo Dong laughed from the side. "But you all should be careful. If someone like President Qin gets too caught up in the chase and accidentally loses the hostage, it would be a huge loss." 0

"Hahaha." 0

"Finally, it's my turn." Chen Rui smiled as he walked to the entrance of the Target Area. He was the last one, and after observing the seven people ahead of him, Chen Rui had already devised his own plan. 0

By watching the positions of each Target, Chen Rui had mentally mapped out a shortcut to reach the finish line, opting for a direct route instead of following their path. 0

The targets appeared at both ends of the road, so taking a straight line posed the biggest challenge: the direction of the Targets varied, significantly increasing the difficulty of shooting while on the move. 0

Chen Rui noted that the positions of these Targets were consistent throughout the progress of the seven ahead. He quickly recorded each Target's location and direction in his mind, making him eager to try out this method himself. 0

"Get ready!" Seeing Chen Rui poised and ready, Luo Dong raised his left hand with a smile, his eyes fixed on the timer in his right hand. 0

"Go!" With that command, as the timer started counting down, the entrance barrier immediately sprang open, and Chen Rui dashed into the Target Area. 0

Outside the Shooting Range, Li Li quietly asked Bai Qingyu beside her, "Hasn't the difficulty increased this time?" 0

Bai Qingyu shook his head. "It's just a different batch of Targets. The difficulty is about the same as Zhou Zhi's challenge. However, if he calculates based on the previous target positions, he might be in for a tough time; at least the first few targets will likely leave him flustered." 0

"Really? I'm looking forward to it," Li Li nodded, a faint smile appearing on her face. 0
