Li Xue slept soundly until it was dark, completely missing both lunch and dinner, which made Chen Rui a bit worried. Even though she usually had a good diet, skipping two meals in a row would surely leave her feeling unwell.
When Li Xue finally woke up, the aroma of roasted chicken on the coffee table immediately stimulated her appetite. Without any regard for decorum, she sat down on the sofa opposite Chen Rui and quickly devoured the chicken.
Chen Rui handed her a glass of lemon juice and watched her with a smile, "Eating so fast without drinking any water? Aren't you afraid of choking?"
Li Xue shot him a glance, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and took the lemon juice from his hand, mumbling through her food, "You're just like that too, so delicate? People like us who are poor have never stayed in such a luxurious hotel or eaten chicken cooked like this. Everything is a first for us; it's too amazing to resist. Is that okay?"
Chen Rui chose not to respond to her teasing and instead looked out the window at the darkening sky. "How about we go to the observation deck?" he asked with a smile.
Li Xue glanced at her watch and frowned. "You should have called me earlier! By now, the observation deck must be packed with people. We'll have to wait in line."
Her words reminded Chen Rui of something he wanted to avoid bringing up. He shrugged helplessly and remained silent.
"Hey! By the way, there are still some attractions in the amusement park we haven't tried yet. Let's go play there first before heading back down, or we can just enjoy the view from up there," Li Xue said excitedly as she pulled Chen Rui out of the room.
Chen Rui felt alarmed and grabbed her arm, pointing at her stomach seriously. "You just ate; don't rush around like that! It's better to walk over; as they say, walking after a meal helps you live longer."
Li Xue shook off his hand and poked his chest with her finger, laughing, "Oh! You're so concerned about me! But I don't want to live that long; getting old doesn't look good!"
Come on, girl! With your looks, even if you lived to ninety-nine, you'd still look like you're only sixty. Right now, you look just like a college student about to start university. If you get old, who would cry for you?
As they reached the base of the tower, the long line was enough proof of how popular this place was. Although it wasn't modern anymore, it was still one of the few high points nearby where visitors could get a panoramic view of Las Vegas Boulevard. It was clear how many people came here just for that reason.
"Hmph—" Li Xue stood at the end of the line, stamping her feet in frustration as she pinched Chen Rui's cheek and pouted. "Why weren't there this many people in my dreams?"
Chen Rui chuckled helplessly. "Well, you do realize that was just a dream!" In Dream World, there were supposed to be crowds too, but due to what he called 'God's Principle,' they didn't have to worry about being overwhelmed by people. In reality, even if it looked crowded when they arrived somewhere in their dreams, they could always enter without waiting.
After thinking for a moment, Li Xue realized he was right. She glanced at Chen Rui again and pinched his cheek once more. "So what exactly is this 'God's Principle' of yours? Explain it!"
Chen Rui sighed with a wry smile. "As the name suggests, players or staff act like gods in the dream world. Any conflicting conditions are resolved in favor of the 'gods.' This means wherever we go, NPCs or intelligent AIs will avoid us; that's what we call God's Principle."
Li Xue giggled lightly. "What? I thought if I said something, AIs would rush to fulfill my commands without hesitation—that would be godlike! What you have isn't really that impressive."
Indeed, there is such control over things; however, not everyone possesses that power. To create a more realistic environment, only those behind the scenes have this kind of authority—similar to how the Support Team and coordinators work behind Dream World Game.
"If it really became like that, where would be the fun in it?" Chen Rui replied with a smile. Indeed, if it turned into something like that, it wouldn't be enjoyable at all.
The team moved quickly, as most people only went up for a quick look before coming back down. At most, they enjoyed the scenery and watched others challenge the high-altitude attractions. Very few dared to actually participate, like Li Xue and Chen Rui, who seemed to want to try every single ride.
The two took the elevator to the observation deck, which was still crowded. The spots closest to the windows were completely filled, and even if someone left, the space would be immediately occupied by those behind them. It seemed that they wouldn't be able to enjoy the view from there anytime soon.
The situation was different on the platform; the number of people at the entertainment area was significantly less compared to the observation deck below. Here, there weren't throngs of people crowding around the windows to see the view, as the edges were mostly occupied by various entertainment facilities, making it difficult to catch a glimpse of Las Vegas's stunning nightscape.
Li Xue continued to pull Chen Rui along, running from one attraction to another until she could barely hold herself up. However, even though her body felt exhausted, her excitement was unstoppable.
Chen Rui suddenly realized that this girl might have a bit of a thrill-seeking tendency. Did she really enjoy such intense experiences? But based on her impression of herself and the information from Li Li and others, she should belong to a category of strong-willed individuals at the Queen level. In front of certain special people, she might turn into an adorable girl, but today it seemed he had discovered a new side of her!

After going through all the entertainment facilities again, it was clear that there were significantly fewer tourists at the observation deck than before. Even so, the best viewing spots in the front row were still packed with no gaps to squeeze through.
“How is it? Are you happy?” Chen Rui asked with a smile as he saw Li Xue’s face lit up with joy and excitement radiating from her.
“It's okay; I'm just a bit disappointed that I can't see the night view. Although Beijing's night scenery is definitely not inferior to Las Vegas's, it just doesn't have that same vibe,” Li Xue replied with a smile, her eyes reflecting a sense of emptiness as she gazed out at the night.
“It’s fine…” Chen Rui comforted her with a smile, planning to stay a little longer until there were fewer people. However, his phone suddenly rang, and he had to answer it because it was Xiang Xiao calling.
“Hello! What’s up? I’m currently with them having fun; Zhang Jun personally approved this,” Chen Rui said helplessly. Xiang Xiao was his immediate superior, so if he was calling, it was surely about work.
“Of course I know your schedule! There’s new work; you need to resolve everything there immediately and fly back right now!!!” Xiang Xiao said calmly on the phone, but his tone lacked urgency.
Chen Rui glanced at Li Xue beside him and hesitated. “Can I wait for another two minutes? Just one more minute! It wouldn’t be respectful to leave them suddenly; after all, they are Tier Three Members too!”
“Shut up! The order from above is for you to come back immediately! Other teams have been assigned tasks already; only A Group is idle right now! You! Now! Immediately! Come back! As for them over there, I believe they won’t have any major objections towards you anymore—especially not towards that girl next to you!!!” Xiang Xiao suddenly exploded in anger, his tone sharp and intense, leaving no room for Chen Rui to argue.
How closely are you monitoring me?! You know who’s standing next to me; this is America! Can you really just send agents from intelligence teams to follow me around?
“Okay, I understand.” Since the order was so straightforward, there was no room for rebuttal. Chen Rui replied lightly and hung up.
Li Xue seemed to read his mind and directly addressed what he was thinking. “Is it work again? Did your superior ask you to rush back?”
Chen Rui nodded slowly but found himself unable to speak as if his mouth were glued shut.
Li Xue nudged him playfully and said with a smile, “Then you should hurry up and go. If it's that urgent, it must be very important. Since your superiors value you so much, it's better not to delay. We’re not kids anymore; I can understand.”
Chen Rui sighed helplessly as he embraced Li Xue. For some reason, there was a painful sensation stirring within him, and he realized that he could no longer bear to be apart from this girl.
Li Xue broke free from Chen Rui's embrace and chuckled lightly. "You always know how to coax me. Just remember, if you can't even keep your job, don't come looking for me. We were originally planning to fly straight back to our country from Las Vegas, so a private jet is already waiting at McCarran Airport, and the crew should be on standby. I'll take you there right now!"
Wiping her nose, Li Xue smiled as she grabbed Chen Rui's wrist and hurried toward the elevator.
This girl was still so strong-willed; where was that attitude just now? Acting indifferent at the moment of parting—did she not know that I felt the same way?
The two exited the Stratosphere Hotel and took a taxi directly to McAllen International Airport.
There were no direct flights from McAllen International Airport to China, but a private jet was different. As long as there was flight permission, it could go wherever it wanted without worrying about established flight routes.
In the taxi, Li Xue contacted the crew and the airport staff. The crew was always on standby on the plane, so even in the dead of night, they could prepare for takeoff at the fastest speed.
The hotel wasn't far from the airport, and the taxi quickly delivered them to the airport waiting hall.
Chen Rui quietly watched Li Xue and said softly, "I've never seen you like this before."
Earlier in the taxi, Li Xue's tone on the phone was something Chen Rui had never heard—cold and resolute, leaving no room for doubt.
Li Xue gently brushed her bangs aside and smiled foolishly. "You haven't seen much yet, so you have to come see me again!"
