"That bastard," the Fox muttered under his breath. The two attendants had not noticed him, but he saw everything clearly. The Chen Liaison Officer had directly pushed him into the spotlight, and even someone with strong composure like him felt a bit overwhelmed. 0

Ignoring the chatter of the so-called wealthy elite, the Fox wandered around the venue. Not a single person approached him. Half of this was due to Yuki Chiba's presence; after all, that person had joined the ranks of the reclusive, and even when they did appear, it was for activities that most would find hard to accept. Thus, there weren't many who recognized Yuki Chiba. 0

The other half was due to the Fox himself. Although it was a mistake made by the two attendants, in the eyes of those in high society, one should be magnanimous and forgive such individuals to better showcase their own generosity. 0

However, the Fox's actions were seen by these so-called elites as immature, and engaging with someone like him would attract criticism. As a result, no one greeted the Fox. 0

But this actually created better conditions for his upcoming mission. Surrounded by others, the Fox would find it harder to act than if he were alone. Moreover, George was also somewhat neglected in this venue. 0

George had come to replace the Arms Dealer; he was merely an employee or subordinate. Being overlooked in a gathering of Bosses was quite normal. 0

After circling the venue, the Fox moved to the dining area. At the far end, he could clearly see a tall Gentleman savoring a glass of wine. 0

The Gentleman noticed the Fox and raised his glass in greeting with a smile. 0

The Fox ignored the Elephant General and elegantly picked up a plate, using tongs to grab three grilled sausages, an artichoke heart, and a sandwich. He sat down at a round table and coldly observed the entire venue. 0

"Don't you like it here? All alone," a very magnetic voice suddenly sounded beside him. The Fox swallowed his sausage without even glancing at him. "Can I ask for your opinion before you sit down?" 0

George smiled and replied, "I didn't sit down because the lady hasn't permitted me to." 0

The Fox glanced at George and smirked slightly. "Go ahead and sit down; there's no need to be so formal. You clearly aren't a serious person; pretending to be proper is less admirable than being natural and straightforward." 0

George chuckled helplessly; it was you who insisted on etiquette first, and now you're calling me pretentious? He sat down at the opposite end of the table. Although it was a table, its radius was only about thirty or forty centimeters—just enough for diners or those wanting to rest. 0

"My sister hasn't answered my question yet," George said as he rested his elbows on the table, taking up half of its surface. 0

The Fox raised an eyebrow playfully and turned to look at George, suddenly laughing. Chen Rui had finally spoken some truth; George was indeed very handsome—handsome enough that he almost made him feel weak! 0

"Shouldn't one first share their own opinion when asking a lady a question?" the Fox teased with a smile. Before George could respond, she continued, "Yes, I really dislike it here. After traveling such a long distance, this is what I find—it's quite... disappointing. Since you're sitting here, you must be the same kind of person as I am." 0

George narrowed his eyes slightly, a barely perceptible smile flickering at the corner of his mouth. "Oh, that's not true. I'm only here because I saw you sitting all alone and felt sorry for you, so I came over to chat. But to lump me in with you and the others would be a disservice to my good intentions." 0

The Fox leaned closer to George and grinned mischievously. "Aren't you alone too? With so many people around, hasn't anyone come over to greet you? I assure you, I'm not blind." 0

"Foolish woman, I can't be bothered to explain," George said, raising an eyebrow as he stood up to adjust his clothes, preparing to walk back into the venue. 0

The Fox waved her hand playfully. "Go on then, but don't come crying to me if you end up alone later." 0

George quickly returned, slamming his hand down on the table. The plate of sandwiches shook from the impact as he glared at the Fox and said fiercely, "Do you know who I am? Mind your tongue before it gets you into trouble..." 0

"Wow, such strength! You wouldn't happen to be some rich man's bodyguard, would you?" The Fox laughed, hitting a nerve with George. Although he held the title of Warehouse Supervisor, in reality, he was just a thug—a mere front for an Arms Dealer. 0

George's brows twitched in anger, but the Fox continued to tease him by pinching his cheek. "But this face is just too handsome for a bodyguard! Shouldn't you be barred from entering? Are you perhaps the illegitimate son of some wealthy merchant or high-ranking official? Is that why you're looked down upon for not inheriting their business?" 0

George was left speechless by her words; despite their different appearances, this woman seemed to share the same personality as someone he knew well—their tones even echoed each other. 0

Embarrassed, he pushed the Fox away and shook his head vigorously. His right hand instinctively reached out while his left pressed against his forehead, desperately trying to hide the beads of sweat forming there. 0

"Just follow this; it doesn't have to be word-for-word as long as the meaning is similar. I promise you'll be fine," the Fox said with a deep breath and a slight smirk. Although Chen Rui appeared carefree, he now felt like a god controlling everything through countless invisible threads—all unfolding according to his plan. 0

"What are you doing?" The Fox's smile suddenly faded as her delicate brows furrowed again. "Sorry, but I must take my leave." 0

George panicked and grabbed her hand urgently. "Where are you going? The party isn't over yet." 0

The Fox turned around mockingly. "This kind of party has nothing to do with me. What good would it do for me to linger here any longer? But why are you stopping me? If I want to leave, what does it matter to you? You can continue planning your future business goals with these wealthy merchants." 0

George smiled wryly. This woman had quite the sharp tongue, and he figured it would be difficult to get one over on her. "Then I'll escort you," he said, releasing the fox's hand and standing behind her with a smile. 0

The fox pouted, clearly displeased. "Who do you think you are? Just offering to take me home? Do you even know where I live? I think you're just trying to find out my address. If you want to pursue me, just say it directly instead of beating around the bush." 0

"..." George smiled wryly again. Although he did have a bit of interest in her, he didn’t even know her name, and she didn’t know his either. Wasn’t it too early to be pursuing someone? He was merely looking for an excuse to leave this place. 0

Seeing that George remained silent, the fox ignored him and turned to walk toward the stairs. George quietly followed behind her, and they exited the building one after the other. 0

Elephant General, White Wolf, Lion Brother, and the big dog all noticed the fox and George leaving and instinctively slipped out of the building as well. However, Chen Rui and Tiger were surrounded by their respective "friends," making it impossible for them to slip away easily. 0

Once outside, everyone simultaneously put on their air earpieces to confirm each other's locations as well as the fox's position, setting up a single-person tracking cycle. 0

"Where do you think you're following me to?" The fox turned around, hands on her hips, looking displeased. 0

"Aren't you going home? Did you not send a car for yourself? Are you really planning to walk back?" George asked in surprise. He had intended to drop this girl off at her car before heading back himself, but she had completely caught him off guard—there was no attendant or driver waiting for her. Did she really walk here? 0

The fox grinned playfully. "My home is in Las Vegas, so shall we just walk back together?" 0

"Las... Vegas..." George couldn't hold back any longer. He stepped forward and grasped the fox's shoulders, asking incredulously, "You walked all the way from Las Vegas?" 0

The fox burst into laughter, doubling over as she clutched her stomach, her long black tail brushing against the ground as a gentle breeze stirred it. 0

George realized how foolish his question was. Walking from Las Vegas would take an unimaginable amount of time and energy. The girl before him clearly still had plenty of vigor; she must have flown directly from McCarran Airport to O'Hare Airport and then taken a car here. 0

The fox stood up, still chuckling with a pure smile that made her look innocent. George couldn't help but self-deprecate with a sigh. "I guess I was being foolish. So what are you going to do now? Just head back?" 0

"Not a chance," the fox shook her head. "It's not every day I get to go out and have fun like this. Did you really think I came here just for this party?" 0

It turned out that she had come out to play under the pretense of attending a meeting. George couldn't help but chuckle lightly as he gazed up at the starry sky, his eyes slightly misty. The person before him reminded him of her, and despite his efforts to forget her, here was another one who made him feel tormented all over again. 0

"It's already so late, and I have no place to stay here," the fox teased as she looked at George. A flicker of indifference crossed his face before he smiled and said, "Then how about..." 0

"Stop, stop, stop!" the fox interrupted eagerly. "I was just joking! Did you really think it would be that easy to take me back? You must be dreaming!" She laughed and playfully punched George's arm before pulling out her phone. "You can't follow me; I'm going to find a hotel." 0

George let out a sigh of relief but felt a pang of disappointment. The person in front of him resembled her yet was different, stirring up that heart-wrenching feeling once more. "So... what's your name?" 0

The fox made a helpless expression before smiling again. "You're so rude! Usually, when someone asks a girl for her name, they introduce themselves first. But fine, my name is Yuki Chiba." 0

This girl was clearly the most impolite one here, yet she called others rude—it was quite amusing. George nodded and took out his business card. "You can just call me George; my contact information is on this." 0

The fox didn't take George's card and smiled instead. "I don't deal with business matters; if we're going to be friends, just give me your phone number." 0

George was taken aback for a moment before realizing that she had mistaken him for a businessman seeking collaboration. This meant her father was likely wealthy; otherwise, she wouldn't have such habits. 0

After exchanging contact information, the fox called a taxi and left George standing alone. 0

"Phase one successful; all units retreat," Elephant General said as he glanced at George standing there and promptly issued the retreat order. 0

"Understood." 0
