At this stage, Dream Stream represented a dream segment as a whole; if time flowed too quickly within that segment, everyone's safety would be compromised. This meant that even if there were destabilizing factors affecting the dream segment's flow, individual Dreamers would remain unaffected.
Deng Jun smiled slightly; the reaction exceeded his expectations and nearly caused chaos in the room. "Yes! After extensive research, we have specifically mastered Individualized Dream Flow control. For safety reasons, the Individualized Dream Stream Control System will be directly managed by the Central Hub. Under normal circumstances, individual Dream Streams will align with the overall Dream Stream; however, in case of emergencies, we can ensure each Dreamer's safety!"
"And Half-Dream State has only recently been researched but has already made significant progress. Currently, it can be utilized under standard Level One Dream Stream conditions."
As its name suggests, Half-Dream State differs from a fully immersive dream state; individuals in Half-Dream State can still influence reality! It allows one to pull out a Connector while still dreaming and then return to reality instantly. This technology holds immense value for those who cannot remain in dreams for extended periods.
Standard Level One Dream Stream refers to a one-to-one time ratio. When this technology matures completely in the future, it may be possible to see people entering and exiting dreams in any corner of a city.
"Mr. Deng, I would like to ask how this relates to the current incident?" The British Prime Minister pressed the red button on his microphone and coldly questioned Deng Jun through the speakers.
This question echoed throughout every corner of the conference room, transforming what had just been an enthusiastic atmosphere into one as quiet as a library.
During the briefing analysis of the recent Security Incident, a deputy director from the technical department attempted to cover up previous technical mistakes with newly developed technology.
Deng Jun forced a smile, realizing that there were indeed sharp individuals who saw through his tricks. He helplessly spread his hands and said, "I assure you, this incident was not a technical error. Moreover, it poses no safety risk to any Dream Participants!"
"How can you be so certain?" The British Prime Minister's tone softened slightly, but his attitude remained firm.
"Because the Central Hub was not breached!" Deng Jun replied with a sense of justification. "Only a segment of the Control System was compromised, while the dream creation process is managed by the Central Hub. Our technical department had implemented a command within the Central Hub before the trial phase began. If there are no top-level commands but a segment's Dream Stream reaches a critical level, it will automatically disconnect!"
"So, even if nothing is done, it will still disconnect before the Dream Stream reaches a dangerous stage? Do you have any evidence? I don't want to hear your empty claims." The British Prime Minister leaned back in his seat, clearly lacking his earlier assertiveness, yet still unwilling to relent.
Deng Jun clicked on the computer at the podium and calmly stated, "This is the command center of the Central Hub. The last folder contains emergency commands. The modification date here is November 1st, five years ago—about a month before the trial phase began. All these commands were written to prevent any security incidents and will be executed with top authority once triggered."
As they gazed at the holographic projection, no one questioned the technical department anymore; these commands were designed for the safety of Dream Participants and ensured the safety of their Action Team during the trial phase.
"Furthermore, even without triggering these hidden commands, Chen Rui Group can safely disconnect by shutting down the Connector. After all, the Control System does not have the authority to interfere with any Dream Participants."
Deng Jun scanned the room once more; it was eerily quiet, as if even their breathing could be heard.
"I want to emphasize that those two significant technological breakthroughs were not meant to lull you into forgetting this incident. On the contrary, I intend to use these technologies to convey that the Dream World Project is imperative!" Deng Jun articulated each word carefully. At that moment, similar expressions appeared on the faces of those in the front row—more like admiration than anything else.
"I am here to stress the value of the Dream World Project and Dream World! You may wonder why, in this era dominated by AR, VR, and R technologies, countries are still striving to develop this Dream World."
"Do you know what sets Dream World apart from AR, VR, and R?" Deng Jun smiled mockingly, reminiscent of a tourist teasing monkeys in a zoo.
A member of the Action Team raised their hand and said, "Realism! Data volume!"
Deng Jun nodded with a smile. "What you mentioned is essentially one thing: the larger the data volume, the more realistic it becomes. In this regard, our Dream World is very similar to VR or perhaps an advanced version of VR."
"But that's not entirely true! I know you're all busy, but if you spend some time experiencing VR, AR, R virtual games at those gaming centers, you'll understand the differences."
