Li Xue was no longer holding any position at Jinghua University, and the principal, Li Li, rarely made appearances on campus. However, that did not mean the students were unfamiliar with these two figures.
The two or three hundred students at Jinghua University regarded them as their goals and idols. Even though both individuals seldom appeared at school, the students were incredibly familiar with their faces.
Li Xue had risen from the grassroots to become a board member of Dawn, now embodying the image of a cold goddess. Li Li, on the other hand, was regarded as the male god in the hearts of these girls.
Now, a disheveled beauty with red eyes stood before them, making it difficult to reconcile her with Li Xue's traditional image.
Yet, given that she could freely enter the academic building, it was clear that this was indeed Li Xue. But what could have caused her to be in such a state? She had just called out someone’s name.
“Take it easy,” a man in gray casual wear hurried after her. His appearance startled the four students present, leaving them speechless.
Chen Rui let out a wry smile and said to the stunned students below, “You all study by yourselves; I have something to attend to.” He then quickly walked to the door and pulled Li Xue along as they headed outside.
Seeing Li Xue obediently following Chen Rui, Li Li shook her head with a bitter smile. She glanced at the four students staring at her and said lightly, “Just do whatever your teacher tells you to do.”
Upon hearing this, the four students mechanically pulled out their customized textbooks and silently began to flip through them.
Li Li turned around and saw that Chen Rui had already taken Li Xue into the elevator. She immediately shouted, “Wait for me!” and hurried after them.
Inside the classroom, the four students exchanged glances, trying to confirm whether this was a dream. They soon reached a unanimous conclusion—it was not a dream.
“What’s going on?!” Ye Yi said with a wry smile. “Is Sister Li’s boyfriend here to take us away?”
“Of course! Can’t you see?” Zhuo Rohan sighed. “That guy just grabbed Sister Li’s hand and left. Did you not see Sister Li’s expression? Plus, he just assumed he could take Sister Li away without any clarification about their relationship! They aren’t even married or engaged!”
“Really!? Is it moving that fast?” Li Chunbo laughed heartily. “Looks like we’re in for it now.”
Most students at the school referred to Li Li as "Big Brother" and called Li Xue "Sister Li," as if doing so made them seem closer to them. This habit had been passed down through generations, leading some faculty members to adopt these titles as well…
"However, I don't understand. That guy doesn't seem special at all, just like an ordinary white-collar worker from a state-owned enterprise. Judging by his demeanor, he must be a mid-level leader. Why would Sister Li be interested in someone like him?" Zhuo Rohan leaned back in his seat, resting the textbook on his face.
Li Zheng smiled lightly. "Don't call him that; the homeroom teacher's name is Chen Rui."
"You remember that quite well! Do you know him personally?" Ye Yi teased with a laugh.
"If I did, that would be nice. I see he has a good relationship with the Li siblings," Li Zheng slowly shook his head and sighed. "Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of connection."
Li Chunbo laughed heartily. "Come on, stop pretending. With your family's connections, if you really wanted to find someone, even the General Secretary could be considered connected."
Li Zheng shot Li Chunbo a glare and fell silent.
Chen Rui and Li Xue arrived at the teaching building. There was no designated landing pad here, mainly to ensure students followed the rules and entered through the main hall on the first floor.
"You come here for class without telling me and sneak away again! Do you know how mad I am?!" Li Xue pouted as she looked at the sea of cherry blossoms below.
"I told you I had to go to work, right? Of course, I need to leave early," Chen Rui said, playfully pinching Li Xue's puffed-up cheeks. Her sulking expression was quite amusing. "Alright, alright, I was wrong, okay?"
Li Xue immediately broke into a smile and tugged at Chen Rui's ear. "Hmph! Trying to play hide-and-seek with me? You're still too inexperienced!"
"Ouch! I'm sorry, be gentle..." Chen Rui winced as she held her ear, gasping in pain.
Li Xue released her grip on Chen Rui's ear but suddenly became serious. "So you're now the homeroom teacher for Class Three Level Four?"
"Yes, and I'm also serving as the main subject lecturer," Chen Rui replied while rubbing her poor ear. It seemed she couldn't escape Li Xue's playful grasp lately; it was almost giving her lingering effects.
"Then you need to be careful. You know that the core knowledge taught at this university is passed down by each class's homeroom teacher. Now you're responsible for educating and nurturing the next generation of our country. So you must take this seriously," Li Xue said softly as she gazed at the cherry blossom sea.
"Yes, I know," Chen Rui mumbled, still immersed in the pain in his ears.
"So, for the sake of your teaching quality, Supervisor, I've decided that I am now a student of Class Three, Level Four at Jinghua University."
"Wait... No! No way!" Chen Rui suddenly realized.
Li Xue wore a mischievous grin. "No! You already agreed. I am now a student of Class Three, Level Four at Jinghua University."
Seeing her play word games with him, Chen Rui kicked the ball over to Li Li. "This doesn't count; it needs to be approved by the principal."
Just then, Li Li, who had just climbed up the stairs, heard Chen Rui's words and felt an instinctive urge not to respond. No matter how she answered, she would surely offend someone. So she started to pass the buck. "I don't manage school affairs; that should be decided by Vice Principal Guo Tong."
Thus, a phone call was made to Guo Tong's mobile.
Li Xue snatched Li Li's phone and directly addressed Guo Tong on the other end. "I want to be a student in Class Three, Level Four at Jinghua University. Is that okay?!"
There was silence on the other end of the line; clearly, Guo Tong was caught off guard by why Li Li's phone was in a woman's hands. However, being quick-witted, he soon realized it was Li Xue speaking.
Normally, such matters would be handled by the administrative office, but since it was Li Li's phone making the call, Guo Tong couldn't immediately determine whether to agree or not. He ultimately decided to pass the ball back. "Generally speaking, this kind of thing requires approval from the homeroom teacher; the school has no objections."
Seeing that the ball had come back to him after going in circles, Chen Rui began to feel helpless. "No way! You're playing dirty; how could you expose your identity like that?"
"Huh? Who am I?" Li Xue feigned ignorance and played along, leaving Chen Rui speechless with frustration.
"Oh, Vice Principal, let me repeat: a student wants to audit Class Three, Level Four at Jinghua University. Is that possible?"
Guo Tong wasn't buying it and insisted, "As long as the homeroom teacher agrees, the school has no objections."
Li Xue hung up the phone and returned the device to Li Li, giving Chen Rui a victorious gesture. "You just agreed, so don't back out now."
"Your Excellency, Principal..." Chen Rui said seriously to Li Li across from him, "I would like to switch classes."
"Mr. Principal!" Li Xue also pretended to be serious. "I want to switch classes with this instructor."
Seeing their expressions, Li Li chuckled. "You two stop messing around; it's settled then."
He pointed at Chen Rui. "You! Hurry up and get to your class!" Then he turned to Li Xue. "You! Get back to your class right now!"
Thinking of the six formidable figures in that class, Chen Rui immediately lost the enthusiasm he had when he first entered the school and sighed, "My dreams of being an instructor are doomed."
"Get going! Hurry up to class." Li Li pushed Chen Rui toward the stairs and turned back with a smile at Li Xue. "Hey, student! It's class time! You should hurry back too."
Li Xue and Chen Rui returned to the forty-third floor of the teaching building. As they entered the classroom, it fell silent once again. The other four students exchanged glances at the cheerful Li Xue and the expressionless Chen Rui, silently taking their seats without further conversation.
Chen Rui walked up to the podium and addressed the four students. "We have a new female student in our class! Her name is Li Xue..."
Li Xue stepped beside Chen Rui and smiled as she slightly bowed to the other four. "I'm Li Xue; please take care of me!"
...Silence...
Li Zheng was the first to stand up, awkwardly smiling. "Hello... I'm Li Zheng; please take care of me."
Li Xue graciously shook his hand, offering an elegant smile without any hesitation.
With the first one leading, the other three also stood up to greet Li Xue. However, Chen Rui noticed they all used honorifics, clearly indicating some restraint.
There was nothing to be done; even ordinary adults would feel extremely nervous when facing someone from the Li Family, let alone a few college students.
After greeting the four, Li Xue took a seat in the very center of the front row, the closest position to Chen Rui, smiling brightly at him.
Seeing Li Xue's actions, the others quickly packed their things and moved to the front row as well.
Suddenly, loud footsteps echoed from the hallway, clearly indicating someone was running.
Li Chunbo laughed heartily, "Everyone will be here soon."
The classroom door swung open, and Fan Xiaohu rushed in, panting. "Did you all see that? Sister Li and the big brother! Who are they here for? It can't be for that Homeroom Teacher, right?"
Everyone turned to look back, and Fan Xiaohu suddenly realized that aside from the four classmates he saw every day and the new Homeroom Teacher, there was another person—a woman.
Li Xue turned to Fan Xiaohu and noticed he was a student in this class. She immediately stood up, slightly bowed, and smiled. "I am Li Xue, a transfer student from Class Three Level Four."
"Uh..." Fan Xiaohu stood frozen in place, speechless.
