Looking at the serious expression of the middle-aged man, Li Chunbo realized he had found the girl's father. Observing the man's demeanor, what Li Chunbo initially wanted to blurt out—"Your daughter has already been arranged for evacuation"—unconsciously transformed into, "I found her in the hands of a girl." 0

The middle-aged man stared at Li Chunbo in shock, as if he couldn't believe this was true, yet something seemed to torment him, suggesting there was evidence proving these events were real. 0

Li Chunbo chuckled inwardly; who told him to mess with me and treat me like a fool? He deliberately avoided mentioning "body" or any key terms, but the word "found" could convey his intended meaning. Smart people love to fill in the blanks. 0

The middle-aged man snorted coldly. "You better tell the truth, or I might just knock your teeth out." 0

Li Chunbo awkwardly smiled; it turned out his inner amusement had already surfaced on his face, inadvertently revealing to the middle-aged man that he was lying. 0

"Alright, alright. When my comrades and I were preparing for evacuation, we encountered a girl—the owner of this phone. Soon after, many civilians appeared. In desperation, we could only escort them west of Dongjiang Road; that's the only place with an Evacuation Point. The Evacuation Points east of Dongjiang Road have all been abandoned." 0

The middle-aged man's expression visibly softened. "So you successfully got them to Dongjiang Road? Then why did you come back? Isn't it safer there than here?" 0

Li Chunbo forced a smile. "What choice did I have? To ensure civilian safety, we had to divert the enemy's attention. At that time, the enemy's vanguard on Third Avenue was already closing in! My last comrade drew enemy fire and led them south along Dongting Road from Third Avenue." 0

The middle-aged man sneered. "So you just let your comrade go to his death alone while you escaped with ordinary civilians to survive at Dongjiang Road? Do you really think you deserve to be called a human?" 0

This statement instantly enraged Li Chunbo—not because of the mockery but because he believed that Tiger and the others' actions were indeed sacrifices. 0

Li Chunbo grabbed the middle-aged man's collar and twisted it, glaring fiercely at him. "I warn you, I don't care what you think of me, but my comrades are not something you can belittle. How could you possibly know how much they sacrificed for our country? They ultimately gave their lives for it; what right do you have to judge them?" 0

The middle-aged man looked at Li Chunbo with some surprise—not because he was angered by him but because he was furious over his comrades' actions being dismissed as mere death sentences. This changed the way the middle-aged man regarded Li Chunbo. 0

As Li Chunbo looked at him, the flames of anger gradually subsided. His comrades didn't need others to evaluate them; as long as someone remembered their sacrifices for the country, that would be the greatest respect for them. 0

The middle-aged man sighed and started running again toward the east. "Hurry up! We can't let the search team find us! We must have gone a bit deeper now; at least the enemy's vanguard is completely to our west." 0

Li Chunbo said nothing and simply stuffed his phone back into his pocket, following the middle-aged man as they sprinted through the alleyways. 0

In a short time—less than a minute—the two reached their destination: Teda SD Office Building A, located at the intersection of Xincheng West Road and Second Avenue. They quickly dashed into the building when there were few enemies around. 0

Once inside, they immediately rushed into the stairwell since this area was already a combat zone and even behind enemy lines. No one could guarantee there were no enemy personnel inside this building, so they opted for the stairs instead of taking the elevator, cautiously making their way up from the First Floor. 0

This thirty-story office building was quite tall—one of the highest in the vicinity—and offered an excellent view that encompassed all of Seaside Plaza. It was precisely because he could see the entire layout of Seaside Plaza that Li Chunbo understood why this middle-aged man had come here. 0

Climbing thirty flights of stairs was not a pleasant experience, especially for Li Chunbo, who was burdened with weapons and gear. After having just run three kilometers, by the time he reached the rooftop, he was nearly exhausted and ready to collapse into an office chair. 0

The middle-aged man, seemingly unfazed, suddenly produced a pair of pure black binoculars from somewhere and began scanning the greenbelt to the east of Seaside Plaza. 0

Despite his fatigue, Li Chunbo immediately recognized that the binoculars were military-grade and not just any standard model; they were equipped with a mini-guided laser device, identical to the one mounted on the sniper rifle in his hands. 0

Although he still did not know the man's true identity, it was undeniable that he was Chinese. After resting for a moment, Li Chunbo stood up and walked over to the middle-aged man. Pointing at the greenbelt to the east of Seaside Park, he asked, "There must be something in that area; otherwise, there wouldn't be so many guards around here." 0

"Of course," the middle-aged man replied, looking at Li Chunbo. "Hand me the walkie-talkie." 0

"Huh?" Li Chunbo pulled out the portable walkie-talkie from his waist and handed it to the man. 0

As soon as the middle-aged man received the walkie-talkie, he pressed the P button and spoke in a low voice, "Emergency code: 11, operator: Han Jianxiang, identification code: nes18957. Over!" 0

There was silence on the other end for a moment before a different voice responded, "Emergency code confirmed. Please confirm final coordinates. Over!" 0

Han Jianxiang took out his phone and swiped across the screen a few times before saying, "Central coordinates: 117718658, 91787; strike radius fifty meters! Over!" 0

"Coordinates entered. Strike countdown fifty seconds. This communication has been detected by enemy technical reconnaissance; please evacuate immediately! Over!" 0

"Received! Over!" Han Jianxiang tossed the walkie-talkie back to Li Chunbo and immediately ran toward the elevator, repeatedly pressing the down button. 0

Li Chunbo tightened his grip on his sniper rifle and asked, "Why take the elevator? What if we're spotted?" 0

Han Jianxiang shrugged as if it didn't matter at all. "If we get spotted, we get spotted. We've already been detected; didn't you hear? Our communication has been compromised! I believe it won't be long before the guards at Seaside Park seal off this building." 0

The two quickly reached the lobby on the first floor via the high-speed elevator and slipped out through the exit onto New West City Road, heading straight for the Sheraton Hotel by the Sea across from Teda SD. 0

Just as they entered the hotel, a massive explosion erupted behind them. Without needing to look back, they knew what had happened—countless missiles had detonated within fifty meters of their previous coordinates, delivering devastating strikes against enemy reinforcements including self-propelled artillery, rocket launchers, and long-range missile units. 0

Once inside the hotel, they did not head to the guest rooms or linger in the main building but instead went up to an observation deck. The hotel only had five floors in total; thus, from this vantage point on the sixth level due to its elevation, they could clearly see the greenbelt east of Seaside Park—the very area that had just been struck. 0

While they hid on the observation deck of the hotel watching enemy movements, dozens of grenades obliterated everything above twenty-five floors of Teda SD's office building across the street. Debris rained down from above but did not pose any threat to them. 0

As the debris from the buildings ceased to fall, a battalion of armed soldiers surrounded the entire Teda SD Zone, entering each building one by one to conduct searches. 0

"See? I told you so," Han Jianxiang glanced at Li Chunbo. "If we take the stairs, even if we manage to escape the enemy's artillery strikes, we won't have enough time to break free from this encirclement. Do you have the strength to take on a hundred men by yourself?" 0

Li Chunbo chose not to argue further. Through the scope of his sniper rifle, he observed the area that had just been struck. The wreckage of numerous vehicles indicated that the recent attack had dealt a blow to the local forces that would be hard to recover from in a short time, alleviating some pressure on their comrades holding the Dongjiang Road. 0

"And there’s more! So much more!" Li Chunbo spotted additional armed vehicles through his scope. Unlike the self-propelled artillery seen earlier, he was now looking at multiple rocket launcher vehicles, and behind them were groups of Main Battle Tanks! 0

Han Jianxiang picked up his binoculars for another look, confirming the presence of enemy forces. He quickly pulled a walkie-talkie from his waist and spoke urgently, "Emergency code: 11. The enemy has not been completely eliminated; there are still significant active forces remaining. Requesting a second strike! First strike coordinates: 117719577,91444; second strike coordinates: 1177798,914! Strike radius fifty meters, requesting immediate action! Over!" 0

A moment later, a voice similar to that of a superior responded, "Han Jianxiang! After this strike, be sure to reconnoiter any remaining enemy forces and report back! Countdown to strike is fifty seconds! Please evacuate immediately! Over!" 0

"Received! Over." Han Jianxiang clipped the walkie-talkie back onto his waist and said to Li Chunbo, "Let’s go!" 0

Li Chunbo did not question him and immediately followed Han Jianxiang toward the elevator. This time, they did not rush out of the hotel; after all, the enemy sergeants on the street were too close, and recklessly stepping outside would likely lead to their discovery. 0

As an explosion echoed in the distance, Han Jianxiang and Li Chunbo crouched low and dashed out of the hotel. They crossed Second Avenue behind several enemy sergeants and entered the Laboratory Building of the Quarantine Bureau. 0

Once inside, they hurriedly ran to the elevator and ascended directly to the top-floor office. They rushed to the window and looked out at the strike zone nearly eight hundred meters away. 0

After a moment, their faces turned ashen as they spotted dozens more Main Battle Tanks positioned further back from where they had just been! 0
