Chen Fan was determined to join that notorious class, and aside from Asano Gakumine, no one else seemed to have any objections.
The few teachers lingering in the office held their hot lollipops, casting strange glances at the others in the room. Why were their thoughts so different?
Wasn't it odd for a ten-year-old child to completely ace a college entrance exam?
Now wasn't the time to debate whether he should be in E Class or F Class; they should really pry open his head and see what was inside!
Before such thoughts could take root in their minds, they were thrown into disarray by a single remark.
"Hey! Monster Teacher, I heard your movement speed has reached 0 Mach. Is that true?" Chen Fan asked with an envious expression. Such an ability would be incredible; being able to reach any destination in mere minutes and even fly—one could treat Earth like a playground!
"Well, um? I'm not really sure. I haven't calculated it!" Monster Teacher scratched his head, feeling inexplicably shy under the envious gazes of his students.
"So... are you an alien, a cosmic being, or a brainy creature from another planet?" Chen Fan inquired.
"Let's just say I'm a monster born and raised on Earth!" Monster Teacher replied with a melancholic tone.
Nearby, Coulson's brows relaxed and then furrowed again. Those brief exchanges contained too much information; being a native Earth monster ruled out the possibility of being an extraterrestrial being. That was neither good nor bad news.
"Chen Fan, do you have any more questions? Anything I can answer, I won't deliberately hide!" Monster Teacher said, holding a stack of documents and looking quite pleased, even his tone was filled with excitement.
Well, Chen Fan could understand. If the plot hadn’t changed, Monster Teacher's heart was incredibly pure; even after gaining power, he bore no grudge against those who had turned him from human into monster.
Such matters were beyond Chen Fan's capabilities. When Spider-Man broke a few windows at his place, the aftermath left him in shambles—no compensation and he ended up getting beaten up badly.
"No more questions. Thank you for your answers, Teacher." Ignoring Coulson's glare, Chen Fan shrugged his shoulders with an indifferent expression.
"Mr. Monster, I have a few questions I'd like to ask you!" Coulson quickly spoke up after being ignored by Chen Fan. At this stage, it seemed there was still potential for communication with this monster.
However, in the face of Coulson, Monster Teacher showed no intention of turning around. With a light snort, her tone was filled with indifference. "I have no obligation to answer questions from anyone other than my students, and I dislike the aura you carry!"
What aura did Coulson possess?
It was, of course, the unmistakable aura of an agent. As a former King of Assassins, how could she not recognize it? Even though he appeared friendly now, the various electronic devices hidden on him were operating at full power.
Feeling the unmasked rejection from her, Coulson forced a bitter smile. He knew better than to push further; reading the room was an essential skill for any agent.
Seeing Coulson hit a wall, Chen Fan couldn't help but smirk slightly, amusement dancing in his eyes. It seemed that agents and assassins were simply not meant to get along!
"Since our greetings are over, I'll take my leave now. Chen Fan, don't forget to report to the classroom tomorrow. If you're late, the teacher will punish disobedient students!" After dismissing Coulson's inquiry, Monster Teacher appeared to be in a foul mood. After reminding Chen Fan, she vanished like a shadow through an open window.
What a convenient ability! Chen Fan rested his chin on his hand, envy evident in his gaze.
As Monster Teacher disappeared, everyone else in the room sighed in relief—especially the few teachers who were already exhausted, collapsing onto the floor with pale faces devoid of any color.
At that moment, the office door suddenly swung open, and several people entered. Leading them was a stern-looking man dressed in a black suit. Upon entering, he scanned the entire room with sharp eyes.
"Has that monster left?" The man in black turned to Asano Gakumine at the desk. After a brief exchange of glances, a weak voice emerged from a corner: "Um... that monster just left..."
It was one of the teachers who had collapsed on the floor.
"Understood!" The man in black nodded expressionlessly. "I need a few teachers and this gentleman to come back with us to give statements. Don't worry; it won't take too much of your time."
"By the way! I'm Ujian Weichen, affiliated with the Island Nation Special Response and Abnormal Handling Intelligence Agency!"
"Pfft!" Chen Fan couldn't hold back his laughter when Ujian Weichen revealed his identity—especially that lengthy title made him feel utterly disillusioned. Glancing at Coulson, who wore a similarly strange expression, Chen Fan poked him and said, "Coulson, I think you have an obligation to reveal your identity. If they take you back like this, I imagine some people will be laughing for a month!"
"Hello, I am an eighth-level agent from the America Department of Homeland Strategic Defense, Offense, and Logistics," Coulson introduced himself calmly.
There’s a saying, um, something about chaos in the wind. After the two introduced themselves, the scene fell into a dead silence. Ujian Weichen looked utterly bewildered; usually, when he announced his title, no one remained calm. He never expected to encounter someone with an even longer title than his today.
“Hello, Mr. Coulson. Since you’re also from the relevant department, there’s no need for you to come back with us!” A strikingly beautiful woman behind Ujian Weichen said, holding a tablet that recorded Coulson's identity registered in Island Nation.
As for Chen Fan, he was already laughing uncontrollably; this joke never got old. Indeed, when it came to titles, America was impressive—doing nothing but relying on a title to leave everyone dizzy.
“This must be Mr. Chen Fan! So adorable!” The woman approached Chen Fan and scrutinized him for a moment before smiling. “Welcome to Island Nation! And please, for the sake of the many innocent citizens, control your abilities. After all, a single misstep could cause us significant trouble.”
“You are the Thunder Lord from S.H.I.E.L.D., right?”
Thunder Lord was Chen Fan's codename in S.H.I.E.L.D., and as for how she knew his identity, it all traced back to the destruction of the moon.
Originally, countries were embroiled in internal strife, but after witnessing the moon's demise, they realized that continuing their conflicts was futile. So they all called for peace… or so they thought.
The real reason was that The Five Great Rogues of Earth had formed a World Superpower Alliance, with Chen Fan among them. Naturally, his information became known to various nations.
Chen Fan blinked and glanced at Coulson. Why did these inexplicable titles always fall upon him? And why was he always the last to find out? Giving him the title of Thunder Lord was just asking for trouble!
If Thor found out there was a Thunder Lord here, it would be strange if he didn’t come looking for a showdown!
Faced with Chen Fan and Yohou’s gazes, Coulson cleared his throat a few times and then turned his head away, ignoring them!
