Leisurely time always passes quickly. The agents from S.H.I.E.L.D., after adjusting to the time difference, began to busily prepare, as each of them felt the weight of a shattered moon hanging over their heads.
This was like the horn of death, pulling at everyone's hearts. Of course, Chen Fan was not among them. Regardless, with a prophetic attitude, he enjoyed his days quite leisurely.
As the sun rose in the east, Chen Fan welcomed his first day at school in the Island Nation. Finally free from his role as class monitor, he let out a long sigh of relief.
Kuzuki High School's Senior Year E Class was referred to as the "useless class" by both students and teachers throughout the school. Simply put, students in this class were seen as worthless in every aspect by others.
Living wasted food; dying wasted land—this was the attitude they held.
In the classroom of Senior Year E Class, as a few students gathered, today's topic began to unfold.
"Did you hear? The new teacher replacing Yukimura Sensei will report today!"
"Your news is so outdated! Not only will the new teacher come today, but there’s also a new transfer student joining our class. Apparently, this new student is a genius who scored full marks on last year's college entrance exam!"
"A genius? Ha! How could someone like that end up in our useless class?" one student laughed self-deprecatingly. Even though no one admitted to being worthless, the external perception of this class was inescapably tied to that label.
"Who knows? Maybe they're just here to see what us 'useless' people look like!"
"Enough! I heard this new student is only ten years old. Is it really necessary to belittle them like this?" a girl with long green hair retorted.
Hearing about a ten-year-old who perfectly answered the college entrance exam questions was indeed shocking, but more than that, it sparked jealousy—a jealousy towards this young prodigy who was incredibly smart. This is human nature; people cannot stand to see anyone doing better than themselves.
As the rebuttal echoed through the room, those discussing fell silent, each sharing a self-mocking smile before shifting the conversation back to the new teacher.
As time passed, more and more students gathered in the classroom. With their already low grades, being late could lead to the fear of expulsion.
The students in the classroom mostly discussed the new teacher and New Classmate, and whenever they did, they couldn't help but glance at the desk and chair located at the back of the room.
Looking at the Boss Chair and long table, which were more luxurious than those of most bosses or CEOs, the corners of the students' mouths would involuntarily twitch.
Were they here to study, or to enjoy life? Or perhaps to get a taste of a CEO's daily routine?
As the class bell rang, the students lazily settled into their seats, still maintaining their casual demeanor—snacking, reading comics, chatting, writing notes, applying makeup, and definitely not engaging in any inappropriate activities. Absolutely not.
Suddenly, a cold cough echoed from outside the door, capturing the students' attention. They looked up to see a man in a black suit standing at the entrance, his expression unreadable as he surveyed the classroom with a piercing gaze that brought immense pressure upon everyone.
"My name is Ujian Weichen. I currently belong to the Island Nation Special Response and Abnormal Handling Intelligence Agency. I will be your physical education teacher. Now let your homeroom teacher say a few words!"
Ujian Weichen frowned. It had been over a decade since he was last a student, but he remembered that classrooms were not filled with such a lazy atmosphere back then.
"Hello... hello... students! I am your homeroom teacher, here to teach you in place of Yukimura Sensei, your New Teacher!" A round yellow head popped into view, leaving everyone stunned. Who was this goofy creature? Uh, monster!
The sudden appearance of two teachers—one from a special government department and another who was almost not human—left the students bewildered. Especially with that creature waving its Tentacle around excitedly; no one could remain calm after witnessing such a scene.
"Ahem."
"Everyone quiet down. This is your New Classmate, Chen Fan, from America. You will spend the next year together in this classroom!" The usually taciturn Ujian Weichen introduced Chen Fan with a cold tone as he entered.
Everyone turned their gaze toward the podium.
Compared to the bewildering teacher, Chen Fan left a much better impression.
With his golden tousled hair, deep black eyes, well-tailored black casual outfit, and delicate features reminiscent of a doll, he appeared to be nothing more than an innocent and adorable boy at first glance.
Many girls' eyes lit up the moment they saw Chen Fan. If it weren't for that strange teacher nearby, they would have rushed over to hug this cute child and dote on him!
Ignoring everyone in the classroom, Chen Fan simply nodded at the Monster Teacher as a greeting before heading to his seat.
The Boss Chair was truly comfortable, and Chen Fan felt grateful as he sat down.
After all, he wasn't there specifically for class; a significant part of his reason for coming was to escape from the student class leader. He also wanted to enjoy the spectacle of watching the Monster Teacher and the students' unavoidable secrets in real life.
In this bizarre atmosphere, another figure appeared in the students' eyes—a beautiful woman pushing a cart filled with firearms, daggers, and magazines. Under the confused gazes of all the students, she spoke with her rosy lips:
"Regardless of what your previous intentions were—whether you were just coasting through life, slacking off, or giving up entirely—it doesn't matter..."
"But from now on, aside from studying, your only task is to do everything in your power to kill this monster. The firearms and daggers placed before you are specially forged equipment meant solely for this creature; outside of that context, it is merely a realistic toy."
"Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you: your new Monster Teacher has a bounty of 18 billion dollars on its head. Whoever kills it will claim that money."
"And rest assured, this monster will absolutely not attack you; this is something that governments around the world can guarantee!"
Seven Streams Shelley smiled as she spoke these words, nodded at Ujian Weichen, and then left the classroom. Her purpose here was to explain these matters to the students, and now that her task was complete, she was ready to leave. After all, the Island Nation had been quite unstable lately, with the sound of police sirens echoing through the city at all hours.
As Seven Streams Shelley's figure disappeared, the classroom fell into a brief silence before the students forgot their fear and stared unabashedly at the equipment on the cart, a single thought echoing in their minds.
"Kill this monster = 18 billion dollars = 19,750 million yen." Those good at math calculated this eye-popping figure, prompting a round of gasps.
"Students, please don't look at your teacher like that; it makes me shy!" Monster Teacher interjected unexpectedly in a peculiar tone. "Don't be fooled by how cute I look; my strength is immense. Just recently, I annihilated the moon, and next March, I'm planning to destroy the Earth too!"
Amidst another round of gasps, Monster Teacher continued earnestly:
"So you all better hurry up! If a year passes and I'm still alive, you'll have to say goodbye to Earth. By the way! I can breathe in space, so it doesn't matter whether there's an Earth or not!"
"Slippery... slippery..."
Hearing this almost catchphrase-like utterance made the students' mouths twitch. It turned out that the true culprit behind the destruction of the moon they had been searching for was none other than this eccentric Monster Teacher standing before them.
Could this be a creature that could be killed by humans?
A being capable of destroying the moon and planning to annihilate Earth—could they really kill such a monster?
These questions raced through everyone's minds but were quickly overshadowed by the allure of 18 billion dollars.
