As evening approached, Chen Fan arrived at the airport with Maid Sister. Neither of them had much luggage; only a small suitcase was being pulled along by Maid Sister.
Since they were walking through the VIP passage, they didn’t encounter many people. Otherwise, given their looks, the attention they would attract might rival that of some celebrities.
“Sorry, Silphy. I originally planned to take you on a trip around Island Nation!” Chen Fan said, tilting his head slightly as he looked at Maid Sister's delicate face, his youthful voice tinged with a hint of regret.
“It’s okay, young master!” Maid Sister replied with a gentle smile. For her, as long as she was by the boy's side, the destination didn’t matter.
Her lack of complaints left Chen Fan feeling somewhat complicated. He opened his mouth to say, “How about this! Next time, I’ll take you to an even better place!”
As for where that might be, Chen Fan didn’t elaborate; after all, it wasn’t a place they could reach anytime soon!
Maid Sister nodded and was about to say something when a well-dressed Flight Attendant approached them with a bright smile. “Welcome, esteemed guests, to this flight!”
“Your seats are ready. Please allow me to escort you there!”
Meeting the Flight Attendant's gaze, Chen Fan nodded calmly and smirked slightly. “When did the Miko from Island Nation start moonlighting as a Flight Attendant? This is quite an eye-opener!”
If the Flight Attendant had been someone from another power system, Chen Fan might not have noticed. However, as a priestess serving a deity, she couldn’t hide from the scrutiny of a Godslayer like him; no matter how perfectly she concealed herself, she couldn’t escape his Curse Power’s counter-detection abilities.
After all, the Divine Power radiating from her was too conspicuous to mask!
Maid Sister didn’t make any unnecessary movements; at the moment Chen Fan spoke, her fair right hand instinctively rested on her waist—a reflex action.
“This gentleman is smiling. Miko is also human; since she is human, she needs to live. But how can one talk about living without money?” The woman in the Flight Attendant uniform maintained her smile despite having her identity exposed. “In today’s society, relying solely on offerings from believers isn’t enough to sustain a shrine!”
Remembering the scale of her family's shrine and the monthly income of several tens of thousands of yen, the girl couldn't help but sigh.
Decades ago, they could enhance the shrine's reputation by exorcising evil spirits and monsters, managing to live a reasonably comfortable life. However, now, when someone fell ill, there were hospitals, and when there were hauntings, special departments managed them.
The shrine could only serve as a historical site; the ones with higher income were always those that had existed for a long time. Ordinary and remote shrines had long been neglected.
"This is really tough!" Chen Fan blinked, able to tell at a glance whether the other person was lying.
"It truly is tough!" The girl nodded in agreement, her smile unwavering. "But this kind of life is fulfilling. I prefer it over living my whole life in the shrine!"
"If it were ancient times, Miko would have to remain a virgin for life!"

Chen Fan chuckled; he couldn't possibly respond to that!
"Alright, it's almost time. Please follow me to board!" Miko—uh, she should be referred to as Chief Stewardess—said to the two guests in front of her.
Given Chen Fan's unusual identity, the Island Nation didn't dare let their guard down. Along the way, every place Chen Fan passed through and every route he was about to take was heavily guarded by troops.
This wasn't to prevent Chen Fan from doing anything but rather to eliminate anyone who might have ill intentions toward this Thunder Lord.
As this human nuclear bomb was about to leave their territory, the upper leadership of the Island Nation finally had a moment to breathe. At such a critical juncture, no one wanted any trouble.
Thus, throughout his journey, Chen Fan enjoyed treatment equivalent to that of a national-level dignitary.
Entering the cabin through a special passageway, just as Chen Fan was about to take his final step, Miko—the current Chief Stewardess—suddenly grabbed the hem of Chen Fan's clothing with her not-so-low profile beauty.
With a puzzled expression on Chen Fan's face, the girl explained:
"Please wait a moment. There is something dirty here; let me clean it up before bringing you both on board!"
Chen Fan furrowed his brow as he was stopped, scanning his surroundings.
A faint, dark aura spread through the air, so weak that it couldn't even approach him. The moment Chen Fan focused on it, the entity emitted a soundless wail that only he could perceive before vanishing completely.
"This... this..." The Shrine Maiden gaped in shock, realizing that even she would have to exert some effort to deal with such a sneaky presence, yet it had been effortlessly eliminated with just a glare.
"Are you an Exorcist, sir?"
When Chen Fan revealed his identity, the Shrine Maiden understood that this seemingly ten-year-old child was no ordinary person.
However, she never expected him to possess the ability to easily eradicate malevolent spirits.
Looking at his youthful appearance, the Shrine Maiden couldn't help but smile wryly. It was no wonder the shrine was gradually declining; compared to the growth period of shrine maidens, the Exorcists trained by the System completely overwhelmed them in both advantages and numbers!
"Exorcist?" The boy showed a hint of surprise on his face. Meeting the Shrine Maiden's gaze, he shook his head. "I'm not an Exorcist."
Chen Fan looked at the place where the malevolent spirit had vanished with some helplessness. He had merely wanted to see what it looked like, but the creature had been so cowardly that it scared itself to death.
"Not an Exorcist?" The Shrine Maiden glanced at Chen Fan in confusion, then shook her head to clear her thoughts. "Regardless, thank you for your help!"
With a sigh, Yohou expressed her frustration. "It might be related to last night's Thundercloud incident. Those malevolent spirits that originally hid in the shadows seem to have been frightened and have been appearing frantically since last night!"
"It's usually hard to encounter these spirits in broad daylight and crowded places, but now it feels like we run into them almost every little while!"
"Sir, the one you just eliminated was already the sixteenth one to appear at the airport!"
Hearing the Shrine Maiden's words, the Maid Sister glanced at the bewildered boy. Noticing the adorable expression on his face, she couldn't help but smile slightly.

Upon receiving this news, Chen Fan's mouth twitched twice. No wonder when he was about to leave the Island Nation, Ujian Weichen, who usually wore an emotionless face, had shown a look of sheer joy.
It turned out that during his short time in the Island Nation, he had unknowingly caused quite a bit of trouble for this country!

"The time is almost up; let's board the plane!" the Shrine Maiden said with a smile. This time, nothing unusual occurred.
