The massive body of the airplane soared above the clouds, the roar of its powerful engines buzzing, scattering the dark clouds nearby.
In the luxurious first-class seat, Chen Fan had already unbuckled his seatbelt and was now slightly leaning back, resting his head on Maid Sister's lap. The sensation was far more comfortable than the plush seat of the aircraft.
Nestled in the embrace of the fragrant young girl, Chen Fan squinted his eyes, ready to doze off. However, a discussion nearby caught his attention.
"How terrifying! Is this really America? Monsters appearing in the city! Wow! Let's buy tickets to go back as soon as we reach the airport!"
The girl, with her black hair and dark eyes, had an ordinary appearance but exuded an extraordinary aura. Even in a crowd, one could easily spot her.
At that moment, she held a tablet in her hands, displaying footage of a giant covered in green rampaging through the city.
"Isn't that Hulk? It seems like we haven't heard about him in a long time!" The young man sitting beside her opened his mouth, his eyes fixed on the figure on the screen.
What a disastrous scene it was!
The screen was filled with pixelation, indicating just how severe the situation had become!
Hearing the name Hulk made Chen Fan roll his eyes while still glancing at the tablet in Maid Sister's hands.
"Little brother, for our safety, I think we should just go back!"
Unable to bear witnessing the horrific scenes any longer, the girl shut off the video. This left Chen Fan feeling somewhat frustrated; all he had seen was a pixelated image on the screen.
"Sis! We're not here for sightseeing; we have to complete our mission before thinking about going back!" The young man advised helplessly. In truth, he had already considered returning upon seeing that green figure wreaking havoc on city buildings.
However, at that moment, as a man, he couldn't show any signs of fear!
"You can go if you want; after all, Dad sent you to handle the mission. I'm just here because I was bored and decided to tag along!" The girl retorted playfully but firmly resolved to buy a ticket back as soon as they landed—she absolutely refused to stay in such a dangerous country.
"Sis! Please don't be so heartless!" The young man looked as if he might cry. He knew that his courage to take on this mission stemmed entirely from his sister's formidable strength.
"Sis…!"
At that moment, a gentle voice interrupted the man's words.
"Please keep it down, guests. Don't disturb the other passengers!" The beautiful Flight Attendant stood in front of the siblings and said softly, "Many passengers are trying to rest now, and speaking too loudly will upset them!"
"Hey sis? What did she say? I don't understand! Can you translate for me?" The young man scratched his head, nearly getting dizzy from the Flight Attendant's rapid English.
"Shut up!" The girl huffed lightly, clearly annoyed that he couldn't even speak English.
—What on earth is this foolish brother doing here?
"Uh? You want me to shut up?" The young man's expression changed suddenly, and he looked at the Flight Attendant. His previously helpless demeanor turned sharp.
Seeing her brother's change, Tang Xin'er covered her forehead and slapped him on the head, coldly huffing, "I told you to shut up!"
"Oh? It's you! Sis!" The young man looked bewildered. Once he regained his senses, he scratched his head again. "I thought it was that Flight Attendant!"
Tang Xin'er raised her head in exasperation. Despite countless doubts over the years, it was evident that this dimwitted guy was indeed related to her by blood.
Since taking off from Island Nation's Tokyo Airport, several hours had passed, but there was still quite a distance to their destination. Fortunately, it was nighttime, and none of the passengers had suffered from jet lag; they quickly fell into deep sleep.
"Sis! What are you looking at?" After a few hours of enforced silence, the young man became lively again. Following his sister's gaze, he opened his mouth in confusion. "It looks like something is flashing outside? What is that?"
"Thunderstorm Cloud!" The girl's face turned pale as cold sweat began to bead on her forehead.
"Uh? It's Thunderstorm Cloud! No wonder something is flashing!" Upon hearing his sister's answer, the young man finally understood.
"Get ready to write your will!" Looking at her brother who had no sense of danger whatsoever, Tang Xin'er said with a bitter smile, "With the scale of that Thundercloud, this plane won't be able to fly around it!"
If we can't fly around it, then let's just fly right through...
As soon as the thought crossed his mind, the young man's expression changed immediately. "Wait? We can't fly around it! Oh no! It can't really be that unlucky, can it?"
Seeing her brother suddenly show signs of intelligence, Tang Xin'er did not display any joy. She shook her head and stood up, preparing to inform the passengers next to her. After all, having a will is better than not having one at all!
"Hey! Wake up!" Tang Xin'er nudged the pair of siblings sitting beside her. To be honest, when she saw the boy lying in the girl's arms, one word popped into her mind.
—Adorable!
However, as adorable as he was, he could only meet a tragic fate now!
Feeling a touch on her shoulder, Maid Sister instantly opened her eyes. Reflexively, she pulled out the stun gun from her right side with practiced speed and aimed it directly at the girl.
"Uh! This must be a toy gun!" Tang Xin'er felt cold sweat bead on her forehead. Even though there was a layer of clothing between them, the icy sensation told her that this was the real deal!
Coming back to her senses, Maid Sister nodded in surprise and moved her lips slightly. "Sorry, I have a bit of an aversion to strangers."
"And may I ask what you need?"
As she felt the gun barrel move away from her waist, Tang Xin'er gave Maid Sister a strange look and replied with a resigned tone, "There’s a large Thundercloud ahead of the plane. From my estimation, it won’t be long before we encounter it. To be honest, I don’t see much hope for us getting through."
Maid Sister's expression remained unusually calm; she showed no signs of fear upon hearing that the plane was about to face disaster, leaving the siblings bewildered.
"Sis? Do you understand what's happening?" The boy's face turned slightly pale. Fortunately, their family wasn't ordinary; in such a situation, staying calm was still possible.
Just as the girl was about to retort against her brother, Maid Sister softly said, "Please keep your voices down; don't wake the young master!"
What the hell!
Those words left both siblings dumbfounded!
Are you kidding me? What time is it? We're about to die here, and you're worried about someone sleeping?
In fact, Chen Fan had already woken up; he had stirred the moment Tang Xin'er approached and had heard their conversation.
Yohou sighed, feeling the active Thunder Element not far away. Chen Fan didn't know what to do; he could encounter a Thunderstorm Cloud even while flying. It was true that he possessed the power of thunder!
But that was the power to control thunder, not to attract it!
"Hey? It seems like there's something in the center of that Thundercloud?"
The man leaned against the window, his expression becoming increasingly strange. After a moment, he revealed a look of despair and sighed, "Sister, I think I'm hallucinating. I actually see a Giant Hammer floating on the Thundercloud!"
"Do you think I still have any value to save?"
Tang Xin'er chuckled, amused by her younger brother's antics. What time was it? He was still joking around. Besides herself, the other two were foreigners who wouldn't understand!
"Passenger, you are not mistaken; there is indeed a divine artifact within the Thundercloud!" Suddenly, a graceful figure appeared in the luxurious cabin, dressed in an eye-catching Red-White Shrine Maiden outfit. The moment she appeared, she captured everyone's attention.
Although someone confirmed that he wasn't hallucinating, which was good, what on earth was this divine artifact?
What had happened to this world?
Tang scratched his head and pointed at the distant Thundercloud with a silly grin. "Is that Giant Hammer really a divine artifact?"
"That's right!" The Shrine Maiden nodded with a complex expression. The aura emanating from it was strangely familiar, just like the statue enshrined in her shrine.
—This was the aura of Divine Power!
"Why can't I see anything?" Tang Xin'er rubbed her eyes as she leaned closer to the window. However, all she could see were flashes of lightning in the distance; there was no sign of any Giant Hammer. Suddenly, her face turned pale, and she pressed her hand against her chest, gasping.
"What's happening? I feel so uncomfortable; my chest feels tight!"
Tang felt the same sensation. After helping his sister sit down, he said, "Sister, I feel it too!"
There were more than just Tang Xin'er who felt this way; the Shrine Maiden felt an even greater pressure than the siblings. However, she had discovered the source of that pressure.
A pair of dazzling golden eyes—
The boy who had been leaning against Maid Sister had now stood up. At the moment the iron hammer unleashed its Divine Power, Chen Fan's blood began to boil, and Curse Power surged uncontrollably outward.
The Shrine Maiden broke out in a cold sweat; if this continued, the plane would surely be damaged.
Thunderstorm Cloud or whatever— with her as the priestess on board, nothing would go wrong with the flight. After all, why would an airline hire a priestess as the Chief Stewardess if not to prevent any unusual occurrences during the flight?
But if Chen Fan kept this up, even if the plane didn't crash, something would definitely go wrong.
"Sir... I don't want to die yet, so please rein in your aura!" the Shrine Maiden said with a bitter smile. Facing those golden eyes, she felt immense pressure and shook her head. "Leave Thundercloud to me; I promise nothing will happen to the plane!"
Chen Fan looked amused; upon hearing the priestess's words, he rolled his eyes. Clearly, she thought he was unleashing his aura to dispel Thundercloud. Unfortunately, this ridiculous script wasn't written that way.
Under the influence of Divine Power, Chen Fan's blood was boiling all over his body, and that exhilarating feeling just wouldn't stop.
He really wanted to have a showdown with a god! That was Chen Fan's current thought!
—Driven by an intense instinct for battle!
