Peter cast a resentful glance at Big Baldy. What weapon could possibly match the destructive power of the Thunder Book?
It was envy!
Rob let out a light snort, meeting Punisher's puzzled gaze as he reached into his backpack and pulled out a book. Upon seeing it, Peter's lips curled slightly; the originally dark silver metal book had undergone a transformation.
It was the size of an ordinary book but carried an air of antiquity. Only upon closer inspection could one sense its mysterious aura.
"007... say hello to everyone!" Rob chuckled, gently patting the cover of the book.
Under the night sky, the unremarkable book suddenly floated into the air, crackling with purple sparks. A delicate figure appeared before the three of them—a girl with a radiant smile, standing at just one meter tall, resembling a Loli.
"I am the control core of the Thunder Book, Artificial Intelligence Seven. Good evening, everyone!" 007 materialized before them, adorned in a violet-blue Gorot outfit, her dreamlike blue hair adding to her enigmatic presence.
Punisher's eyes widened in disbelief. Without the cloak of darkness, his bewildered expression would have been evident to everyone.
"You did this to 007, didn't you?" Peter's face darkened. Compared to her previous demeanor and appearance, this version of 007 deserved praise—but how could she have changed so drastically?
"Are we going to be silenced by him?" The murmured voice came from Big Boy.
Fully aware of his bad luck, Big Boy doubted whether he would be implicated in Rob's astonishing act.
"Don't worry; this is what 007 requested herself. It has nothing to do with me!" After some thought, Rob planned to find an opportunity to visit Coulson in the Arctic after tonight's mission.
"As a thank you for Mr. Rob's assistance, I will join you all in action. However, due to aser’s instructions, I won’t intervene unless you encounter danger that you cannot handle!" 007 said playfully, feeling particularly cute and in high spirits.
"As aser mentioned, the power of Thunder Beam can obliterate a mountain over a hundred meters tall! Let me use it!"
The adorable 007 declared.
"What? What's going on?" Punisher stared blankly at Rob, his expression conveying disbelief.
He understood artificial intelligence, but what kind of weapon was the Thunder Book? Had S.H.I.E.L.D. recently developed some astonishing armament?
Could they really obliterate an entire mountain? No—erase it!
Why haven't I heard anything from Nick Fury?
"Cough, cough!" Peter cleared his throat and crouched down to look for a handy weapon. Faced with the approaching vampire, he couldn't afford to be careless. "Punisher, let's hurry up and gear up. As for Rob, you don't need to worry. That guy is definitely going to go all out today; we ordinary players can't handle him!"
With the Thunder Book in hand, Rob could instantly turn from a mediocre fighter into a top ten powerhouse, provided that 007 was willing to help him set it up.
After Peter and Punisher equipped themselves with weapons that could harm the vampire, Big Bald Rob held the Thunder Book in one hand and waved at the two with the other. "Let's go! We still have over ten kilometers to our destination. To avoid being spotted by the vampire's minions, we can only walk there!"
With that, Rob gave a quick nod to the Thunder Book and suddenly lifted off the ground. At about a meter high, he turned back and shouted, "I'm off! I'll wait for you at the rendezvous point! Wow, wow, wow! 007, slow down!"
Watching his figure vanish into the night sky, the two superheroes known as Justice Partners and Vigilantes were left speechless.
Walking? Peter sighed and shot a glare.
As for Punisher, he felt he had been startled enough for one night and didn't want to talk anymore.
"Let's get moving too!" Peter called out as he shot a web towards the tall building. Just as he took off into the air, he added, "If we don't hurry up, Rob that Big Baldy will push ahead!"
Another unconventional move from Vibrant Goods!
In an instant, Punisher realized he was left alone in their trio. This—
"Hey! Taxi! Stop!"
...
In S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters, in the director's office, Nick Fury was receiving reports from his subordinate agents.
"Rob is heading towards New York's Vampire Division with Spider-Man Peter and Punisher," the agent reported with a wry smile.
The three of them were manageable enough, but that Thunder Book—
Having witnessed what happened at the airport, the agent's imagination ran wild, picturing an entire area being obliterated, leaving behind a meteor crater.
It seems I have to find a few professors from the Meteorologist and Cosmic Monitoring Agency to forge some documents again!
"I understand the situation. Pass the word down to keep an eye on things; if anything seems off, notify me immediately!" Nick Fury said in a deep voice, his face displaying a mix of frustration and disbelief.
Wasn't it just sending Rob to investigate the Zombie Incident? How did it turn into intelligence about exterminating the Vampire Division by the time it reached him?
None of these guys were making things easy for him!
Drumming his fingers on the table, Nick Fury sighed. After the agent delivering the report left, he picked up his phone and dialed a number.
"Hello, Mr. Nick Fury. Mr. Chen Fan is currently not in a good mood. According to his instructions, if you're looking to resolve any issues with him, please let you know that he just wants some quiet right now."
To Nick Fury's surprise, the voice on the other end was not Chen Fan's youthful tone but rather that of an elderly man with a weathered voice.
"You must be J.A.R.V.I.S., right?"
"Yes, I am J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark's artificial intelligence assistant! Currently moonlighting as Mr. Chen Fan's phone assistant!"
Hearing this response made Black Director's mouth twitch as he chuckled awkwardly. "Can I ask what has him feeling down?"
Having already pressed two engines of the Floating Aircraft Carrier, Black Director was unwilling to accept that even his calls were being ignored. This brat was such a hassle!
"It seems to be related to his height!" The answer only made Black Director's expression more pained; feeling bad about one's height? Could he be any more unreasonable?
"This is the reason?"
"Probably!" J.A.R.V.I.S. wasn't entirely sure of the real situation but could calculate that 99.999% of his troubles stemmed from his height.
"Can you get him on the line?" Nick Fury shook his head with a wry smile. "If it's just about height, S.H.I.E.L.D. has plenty of experts who can help!"
"Sorry, Director, but for Mr. Chen Fan, there’s no one who can assist with this issue!" J.A.R.V.I.S. was perfectly executing its duty to intercept spam calls; it didn’t want to be caught in a mess due to one oversight and end up facing an Electronic Pulse.
"Alright then!" Nick Fury reluctantly tapped the table and exhaled. "You tell him that Rob is currently taking his Thunder Book to the Vampire Division."
"I will pass it on!"
After this statement, a series of busy signals followed.
Nick Fury left his seat and began to pace back and forth on the metallic floor. As time passed, a hint of irritation appeared on his steady face.
"Why can't Big Baldy let go of the past?"
"Dealing with the vampire menace is simply not the right time!"
"Can't we wait a little longer?"
"It seems I have no choice but to seek out Dormammu. I hope she can intervene; otherwise, the backlash from the entire world's vampires will be unbearable!"
The annihilation of a vampire faction would undoubtedly trigger a global vampire retaliation.
—The consequences would be too severe!
...
007 cutely chimed in, "Tickets, tickets! Without recommended tickets to recharge energy, I can't become stronger!"
