In a suburban area of Queens, New York, there was a branch where vampires lingered. On the surface, this district appeared to be a house of entertainment.
Bars, discos, amusement parks, and underground casinos… not to mention the unspeakable trading venues—
“Is it really just as simple as walking in?” Peter scratched his head, feeling completely lost on his first mission of this kind.
Rob rolled his eyes and rubbed Peter's tactical suit. Then he glanced at the figure cloaked in black, the Punisher, and smirked, “You two stand out so much. Once we leave this forest, you'll be exposed. Besides charging in obviously, is there any other way?”
“My suit has been modified to allow me to become invisible!” Peter replied with a hint of irritation; he considered it a perk for infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D.
“Mine can do that too!” The Punisher’s deep voice chimed in.
Big Baldy sighed gloomily. Mabapi… wasn’t it just about finding a legitimate reason to charge in? Why was it so difficult?
“Then we’ll go in invisible. According to the intel, this vampire branch is underground, and the only entrance is the front door. We can only go in through there!”
“How bold!” The Punisher scoffed, his gaze fixed on the disco entrance where people were constantly coming and going. To have only one entry point required an immense amount of confidence!
However, this did make it easier to wipe them all out; they didn’t have to worry about any stragglers escaping!
“You two stay invisible behind me. Let’s go in and see the filth hidden in the darkness!” Big Baldy’s tone was rather unfriendly, his eyes revealing a cold murderous intent that surprised Peter. It was the first time he had seen this carefree Big Baldy show such a side.
“Don’t let your murderous intent show so strongly; vampires have sharper senses than humans!” The Punisher placed a hand on Rob’s shoulder, his tone laced with complex emotions as he took a deep breath. “Let’s go! It’s time to settle old scores!”
Peter, who was following invisibly beside them, felt a flash of understanding. He was somewhat angered by the muscle-bound man but even more infuriated by these parasites hidden within human society.
—Creatures known as vampires!
The trio faced no obstacles as they entered. For vampires, would they refuse food that came knocking?
However, this time the food was laced with deadly poison!
The Disco, spanning a thousand meters, was filled with the loud cacophony of sound, the deafening heavy metal music creating a frenzied atmosphere.
— Pulsating, twisting, nodding heads.
Men and women alike, under the influence of the music, revealed the dark sides hidden within their psyches. How to describe it?
Madness!
……
The Himalayas.
“Dormammu, I need your help!” Nick Fury used a secret passage left by S.H.I.E.L.D. to arrive here.
Such instantaneous spatial technology truly made him envious; however, what was needed was not science but magic—
“I cannot help you with this! It is a conflict belonging to this world!” Dormammu said with a calm smile, her expression carrying an indescribable weariness.
In her view, as long as it did not seriously involve the foundation of the world, everything else was trivial.
This statement made Nick Fury frown and ask in confusion, “What do you mean by that? You should know that one-tenth of the Pureblood Vampires are present in that division; it's not just an ordinary nest of parasites!”
For vampires who struggle with reproduction, the destruction of one-tenth of their entire population?
It would be strange if they didn't rebel!
“Go back. As an ally, let me tell you one more thing!” Dormammu said slowly, her lips moving as she looked at Nick Fury before her and added with a faint smile, “From now on, the heretical races in this world will not target humans on a large scale. You can focus your attention on issues beyond the universe and those occurring within humanity itself!”
"As for the other anomalies, there will naturally be someone to deal with them!"
Nick Fury was perplexed, yet when he pressed for more information, he was met with a face that resembled a meditating monk, showing no other expression regardless of the inquiry.
With no other choice, Nick Fury returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. filled with confusion.
After Nick Fury left, the meditative Dormammu opened his eyes. The weariness lingered, and he murmured softly, "The king of humanity has appeared. Though he is a capricious demon lord, he will not stand idly by while his kind are ravaged by otherworldly beings."
...
"Chen Fan... will there really be someone living here?" Monster Teacher wrapped himself in a thick layer of cotton clothing. Even as a monster, there was no rule that said monsters were immune to the cold!
"Stop talking and hurry up; we just need to reach the mountaintop!" Chen Fan rubbed his stiff face.
Realizing that his physical condition would remain at its current stage permanently brought a wave of melancholy, but Chen Fan quickly thought of a solution.
This was the Marvel Universe, after all, filled with countless strange and bizarre things.
And who knew these better than Dormammu, residing in the Himalayas? Now that Chen Fan was at a critical juncture, he didn't care whether encountering a nun would bring good or bad luck.
While searching for the fifty-second Snow Peak, Chen Fan finally spotted the hidden structures atop it.
"Koro-sensei... we've arrived!" Chen Fan exclaimed to Monster Teacher, whose expression looked as if it might break from astonishment.
"Really? There are people living in a place like this? How can humans survive in such a cold climate?" Monster Teacher's voice was filled with disbelief.
Though aware that many anomalies existed in this world, seeing an actual human structure perched on what was known as a lifeless Snow Peak still left him in shock.
As Monster Teacher landed with Chen Fan on the Snow Peak, a wooden door within the cluster of buildings creaked open, revealing a middle-aged woman dressed in thin monk robes stepping outside.
Indeed, the one who emerged was Dormammu.
"Emperor Thunder graces us with his presence; how rare!" Dormammu said with a calm smile as he looked at the two figures before him.
"I bet you knew I was coming the moment I reached the foot of the mountain. Why didn’t you send someone to greet me? I had to search through dozens of Snow Peaks just to find this place!" Facing one of the strongest humans in the Marvel Universe, Chen Fan showed no signs of the expected politeness and pouted in dissatisfaction.
"Everything is destined by fate. If Emperor Thunder could not find this place, I would not have met you!" Dormammu continued to smile lightly, aware that neither of the two should have been there.
—Yet here they were.
"You look pretty miserable right now! Not quite human, not quite ghost; you look even less human than when I saw you last time!" Chen Fan said, slightly impatient, glaring back at Dormammu's scrutinizing gaze.
This remark did not seem to add any emotion to Dormammu’s expression beyond his calm demeanor.
However, someone could not stand it any longer. A stocky middle-aged man, not very tall but robust, rushed forward. With a fierce gaze directed at Chen Fan, he sternly declared, "You brat, the Master is not someone you can discuss! Apologize quickly, or I'll throw you off this snow mountain!"
"You want to throw me off the snow mountain?"
