Peter's smug expression suddenly froze. He had completely forgotten Chen Fan's catchphrase: I am the monster that slays gods!
Big Boy sighed; it turned out that even gods couldn't save themselves!
“Stark… do you really think there are gods in this world?” Peter asked curiously. Although his worldview had changed, he still doubted whether any deities existed.
“I’m a scientist!” Tony replied, meeting Peter's dazed gaze. “Don’t ask me such ridiculous questions!”
“J.A.R.V.I.S., what about you? Use your vast processing power to analyze this!” Big Boy redirected the question, wondering if it was appropriate to ask a scientist about the existence of gods.
He questioned his own sanity for asking Stark such a question, but thankfully, he hadn’t been hit!
“Sorry, Mr. Peter, even an erudite artificial intelligence cannot answer that question!” J.A.R.V.I.S. quickly responded, then mentioned another entity that might be able to answer Peter’s inquiry. “If Mr. Peter wishes to know, I believe it would be more appropriate to ask 007. Would you like me to connect you?”
Peter nodded; he had a multitude of questions waiting to be addressed. If he didn’t clarify these issues, he feared he would slowly crumble under the weight of his unresolved worries.
Soon, in Tony's lab, a projection appeared—it was 007.
At that moment, the Artificial Intelligence Girl returned to her usual expressionless state. “Foolish Peter, what question do you want to ask me?”
Big Boy's face darkened; how did that nickname come from 007?
He felt a bit stunned but refused to back down!
Grinding his teeth, Peter asked, “007… you should know whether there are gods in this world, right?”
Tony looked over curiously, his expression conflicted. For a scientist, determining whether "God exists" was quite a challenge!
"As someone close to Aser, Mr. Peter's question is rather ridiculous!" 007 shot him a look of disbelief before his emotionless voice rang out, "God certainly exists. Just five minutes ago, a deity arrived in this world. According to the unintentional news from Aser, this deity should be the God of Thunder in this realm!"
Peter appeared dazed, and Tony was not much better off; both wore expressions as if they were lost in thought.
The God of Thunder has arrived?
...
As the Godslayer, Chen Fan naturally sensed the arrival of Thor. He had noticed it just after leaving America.
However, a God without Divine Power could hardly stir the blood of a Godslayer.
Should he kill him? Or not?
Chen Fan felt somewhat troubled. He wondered if killing a god without Divine Power would result in losing any abilities.
Thor was the god of war and agriculture. If the opponent's Divine Power did not vanish upon death, slaying him would allow Chen Fan to gain one of those two divine roles, transforming into abilities related to war or agriculture.
"Chen Fan seems to be pondering something troubling. Would you like to share it with me? Perhaps I can help clarify your doubts!" The flying Monster Teacher slowed down. As they left American territory, it noticed the boy's troubled expression and switched to life mentor mode.
"I've figured it out!" Chen Fan smiled. The Godslayer and gods were inherently adversarial; even if he chose not to kill, he would inevitably engage in a delightful slaughter with the gods under certain circumstances.
Seize the opportunity while you can—there's no need for hesitation!
"Koro-sensei... take me back to America; let's put off going to the Himalayas for now!" Having resolved his dilemma, Chen Fan began to fantasize about which powers he might acquire. "There’s something more important I need to do right now!"
“Eh eh eh... I still want to hear Chen Fan's thoughts!” Monster Teacher said with a hint of melancholy. It was the teacher's duty to enlighten students, yet it found itself without the opportunity to activate its life-coaching mode.
“Koro-sensei wanted to see what a deity looks like, right? Now's your chance!” Chen Fan's eyes sparkled with brilliant electric light as the nearby Thundercloud suddenly dissipated from the snowy mountains.
And so—
The Thunder Authority once again presented its complete form after a long interval.
As the son of Odin, Thor likely had plenty of means to ensure his survival, even in dire straits. Chen Fan couldn't afford to be careless; this was his official act of slaying a deity!
...
With the disappearance of the Thundercloud that had shrouded the Himalayas, high-ranking officials from various countries began to brainstorm what that Brat might be up to next.
...
Without the Thundercloud, disciples in the Holy Land started to smile. Although they still faced power outages, water shortages, internet blackouts, and heating failures, they could at least cast spells smoothly.
They could use spatial magic to leave this cold complex.
As Chen Fan descended with the Thunder Domain, Dormammu, who had been cooped up in his room, suddenly changed his indifferent expression.
Not long after, the figure sitting cross-legged shifted slightly. An invisible shadow, imperceptible to ordinary eyes, rose from that body and vanished through a swirling passage above its head.
At the center of countless spinning stars, Dormammu appeared.
"What brings the Supreme Sorcerer to the Rainbow Bridge?" A voice filled with authority and confusion echoed.
"Odin... has anyone from the Divine Realm recently gone to Earth?" Dormammu's eyes were filled with anxiety. The only reason Chen Fan would suddenly withdraw his scattered powers was if he encountered a formidable opponent.
However, there was no one on Earth who could compel Chen Fan to act in such a manner.
"Thor has become too indifferent, unmanageable, and his nature has become deeply ingrained. To help him understand humanity, I have banished him to Earth!" Odin's tone was complex as he sighed.
"Rest assured, Supreme Sorcerer, when I banished Thor to Earth, I had already sealed his Divine Power. He will not bring disaster to the planet!"
"Why did you make such a decision without consulting me?" Dormammu's voice turned cold. According to their agreement, deities from the Divine Realm were not allowed to appear on Earth without the Supreme Sorcerer's consent—meaning Dormammu's approval was necessary for any divine descent.
"This is merely a matter of necessity," Odin suppressed his anger and explained briefly. "Moreover... Thor is now like an ordinary human; he poses no threat to Earth!"
"Hmph!" In response, Dormammu scoffed. "Odin... I advise you to prepare the items needed to resurrect your son."
Hearing Dormammu's cold words, Odin could no longer contain his fury and retorted sharply, "Dormammu, do you wish to kill my son?"
The entire starry sky began to spin rapidly, and a heavy aura pressed down upon Dormammu.
"There is a Godslayer on Earth," Dormammu returned to his calm demeanor, showing no concern for the pressure weighing upon him.
—As if it simply did not exist.
She was afraid of the disaster that could arise from a god fighting Chen Fan on Earth. Since Thor was just like an ordinary person down there, there was nothing much to worry about.
Beside her, Odin felt a surge of pressure, his mind racing with countless thoughts. Even as the King of Gods, he still had reservations when it came to mentioning those three words.
"Godslayer? How could that thing possibly appear?"
As far as he knew, Godslayer was a weapon created by the World Will for slaying gods. Regardless of its origins, once it became a Godslayer, it would turn into a madman who would attack any god in sight—
Not to mention that damned Cursed Blade it was made with...
In a one-on-one situation, a god would fall.
As long as the Godslayer existed within the world, if the gods wanted to retaliate, they could only win through sheer numbers.
In other words, they would have to sacrifice their own lives to fill the gap!
