Looking towards the direction of the now-vanished Station, Peter Yohou sighed, exuding the aura of someone who had just experienced heartbreak.
Big Boy felt an instant attraction, but before he could utter a single word, he found himself heartbroken.
“There’s a lake ahead; let’s rest there for the night and head to Vajra City tomorrow!” Tony's voice echoed throughout the fortress. His main purpose for coming to this world was to analyze its composition.
He sought to discover new elements!
This was the dedication of a scientist!
No one objected, so after three minutes of flight, the Floating Fortress transformed from a train into a luxurious residence.
As evening approached in this desolate world, every inch of land was permeated with a faint scent of blood. Even in this wilderness, everyone could clearly see the exposed bones jutting out from the ground.
“Hey! We have guests!” Monster Teacher stepped out of the fortress, squinting as he looked into the distance.
In that direction, under the darkening twilight, countless pairs of red eyes glowed with a frenzied intensity.
“Stark, you picked a great spot!” Peter noticed the changes around them thanks to Monster Teacher's reminder and shot an annoyed glance at someone fiddling with instruments.
“J.A.R.V.I.S., take care of those things with my special weapon. If that stench spreads over here, we’ll have to move!” Tony didn’t even look back; he was busy examining various specimens collected by White.
“Understood, sir!” J.A.R.V.I.S. replied. Shortly after, several figures shot out from the Floating Fortress parked by the lake, leaving behind a trail of blinding flames as they darted off to a location ten thousand meters away.
There were no gunshots or strange sights.
J.A.R.V.I.S. merely tossed out a few grenades without any visible explosions, yet Peter, standing ten thousand meters away, noticed those conspicuous red spots fading and quickly disappearing from view.
“Stark, what strange weapon did you create this time?” Peter asked curiously as he returned to the fortress and approached Tony, who was engrossed in his instruments. He was genuinely intrigued!
A group of over ten thousand Kabaneri was silently wiped out.
"Special biochemical bombs, once activated, will release a disruptive virus that is lethal to Kabaneri!" Tony explained, then ignored Big Boy's complaints.
"Give me a few!" Peter's eyes lit up; in his view, this kind of weapon could fetch a high price in this world!
"Go ask J.A.R.V.I.S. yourself, and stop bothering me!" Tony replied coldly as he turned back, scratching his head before diving back into the instruments.
Big Boy blinked and smirked before heading towards the hall area.
Peter was no longer poor; after selling a few apples, Big Boy had become a millionaire. Although he was still far from Tony and Chen Fan, compared to a certain Tentacle Monster, he could proudly mock the latter: "Poor thing!"
Chen Fan was in the living room, sunk into a soft sofa, with the Thunder Book resting on a nearby table. This sight made Peter's pupils slightly contract as he entered the room.
Chen Fan had already fallen asleep; his even breathing and peaceful expression confirmed his current state.
"007... are you there?" Peter approached the Thunder Book and whispered, not daring to touch this weapon that was comparable to a nuclear bomb.
"Mr. Peter, what can I do for you?" 007 materialized from the Thunder Book, her voice directly ringing in Peter's earpiece.
"Can you help me with something?" Big Boy looked at the Three-No Artificial Intelligence Girl with hopeful eyes.
"You..." 007 did not refuse. As Chen Fan's exclusive weapon, she shouldn't agree to anyone else's request without her owner's permission.
However, 007 felt a nervous heartbeat—an unfamiliar sensation—so she chose to listen to Big Boy's request.
Not long after, a shadow flew out from the fortress, causing a smile to flicker at the corner of Monster Teacher's mouth. He made no move, squinting his eyes as he continued to doze.
"Sir! Mr. Peter is heading towards the previous Station!" J.A.R.V.I.S. reported the unfolding events.
"Don't worry about it; that guy probably has his eye on some girl! Tsk tsk!" Tony lifted his head, unconcerned about Peter encountering danger, especially with Thunder Book and his custom biochemical weapons.
Even if Peter were to take risks, he would likely manage to return with at least a breath left for him to save.
"J.A.R.V.I.S.—!"
"Compare the data of these specimens with those on Earth!" The flames of excitement ignited in Tony's eyes as he discovered something that could shock the world.
"Comparison complete. Seven of the specimen data correspond with plants on Earth, with a similarity rate of 96%!" J.A.R.V.I.S. stated calmly.
"Great! Continue comparing the data of the other specimens!" Tony tightened his fists, his gaze fixed on the projected screen, his expression serious.
……
Golden Station
As evening approached, an unexpected visitor plunged the entire Station into prolonged discussions. The strange Jun City and the flying humans were topics that could keep conversations going for a month.
"Evening? Train?" Acorus found herself caught in a huge mystery. The words relayed by the mysterious boy left her bewildered.
"Nameless Sister, do you know what a train is?" Acorus looked at the girl sitting across from her, aware that she came from the outside Station and likely knew more than she did.
"I don't know either!" Nameless yawned, her delicate doll-like face showing signs of exhaustion. As she turned her head, she suddenly noticed a beam of light rising in the distance. Rubbing her eyes, she saw that the scene had slightly changed, but the height had definitely increased.
"What is that light?" The girl Acorus exclaimed in surprise, one hand covering her mouth while the other pointed at the rapidly ascending fireworks.
"I have no idea!" Nameless repeated this phrase countless times since evening, her gaze flickering. "It probably has something to do with those mysterious people!"
Although it wasn't entirely accurate, it was close enough; what was ascending was a rocket, carrying Satellite—
"Nameless Sister, don't leave here tonight. I feel like something terrible is going to happen," Acorus said to the girl in front of her. Ever since she heard Mysterious Boy's words, her heart had been restless.
"I feel the same way!" Nameless closed her eyes, the image of that fleeting light still lingering in her mind. Just then, a deafening explosion echoed from afar.
Flames mixed with the sound of the explosion and screams, and at the same time, the alarm bells of Station began to ring.
"Kabaneri... it's Kabaneri!"
Countless people awoke from their slumber, opening their eyes to a scene of despair.
In the lord's mansion, groups of warriors gathered in a panic, their expressions anxious and uneasy as they gazed into the distance, their eyes filled with fear.
"Now is the time to prove our worth as warriors!" A man of average build but quite handsome stood before everyone, wielding a long katana. His gaze swept across the faces before him as he shouted coldly, "Those who are afraid to die should no longer consider themselves warriors. Those who aren't afraid to die, follow me to protect the citizens of Station and help them evacuate!"
"Split into teams and escort Lord Iris to Iron City! We must ensure her safety!"
