Loli rested her chin on her hand, a serious expression crossing her face as she slowly opened her mouth. "I need to test the connection strength between you and Iron Gata!"
Chen Fan looked utterly bewildered, his face a mask of confusion. Suddenly, a crack appeared above his head, and out tumbled a hamburger—
Then came cola, chips, cups, plates, chairs, sofas… a large refrigerator…
These items fell from the black Spatial Rift like rain. Fortunately, the castle's structural integrity held up well, preventing any floors from collapsing.
As Chen Fan stood there in stunned silence, the items falling from the rift grew larger and more complex. By the end, his hundred-square-meter room was filled with all sorts of modern objects.
From a hamburger to a freezer—
Inside the fortress, everyone watched as items disappeared around them, their lips slightly parted in disbelief as they speculated about where these things were going.
Before they could figure it out, the floating Thunder Book let out an annoyed huff. "Are you just throwing away garbage?"
The entire room was nearly packed to capacity; Chen Fan couldn't find a place to stand.
"Hey, have you seen two Kabaneri that were thrown over?" A voice echoed in Chen Fan's ear, making him flinch. What the hell? They even tossed two Kabaneri over here—what were they thinking?
"No."
Chen Fan scanned his surroundings. Aside from a pile of technological gadgets and modern furniture, there were no decaying Kabaneri in sight.
"Looks like your connection with Iron Lump can only transmit inanimate objects!" The clear voice echoed in Chen Fan's mind. Not long after, that voice spoke again:
"You should look for some items with spatial properties over there, and then forge a spatial gate to see if you can strengthen the connection between you and Iron Lump. At that point, I will try to see if I can teleport living beings."
"Alright..." Chen Fan sighed, glancing around. It was then he realized that these items were meant to test his connection with the Thunder Book, and his melancholic mood slightly dissipated.
"Send over a Floating Fortress!" The various items filling the room made the boy's eyes light up. Since he could teleport inanimate objects, why not send a Floating Fortress that could both house and move?
Oh, it seemed he thought of something else. The boy tapped his head: "J.A.R.V.I.S.... Is my Zero Unit finished yet?"
"Mr. Chen Fan... the Zero Unit is almost complete!" J.A.R.V.I.S. replied. The Zero Unit already had a framework; all that was left was to fill it in with parts from the Floating Fortress, which wouldn't take much time.
With hundreds of Iron Armors being forged collectively, it took just a moment to assemble the Zero Unit.
"Hehe—send it over to me!" Chen Fan said with a cheerful grin. This was great news; at least he would have a means of transportation in this other world. Modern people needed to live in modern facilities to avoid feeling stifled and bored!
"Sir, according to the Spatial Rift here, the Zero Unit cannot be transported to your world unless it is disassembled into parts and then reassembled!" J.A.R.V.I.S. said somewhat helplessly.
Inside the fortress, the Spatial Rift manifested by Thunder Book was only two meters wide and three meters high, which was far too small for the over three hundred meter long Zero Unit to pass through.
"However... sending over a Floating Fortress shouldn't be a problem. Do you need it sent?"
The Floating Fortress could change its form; during its design, Tony had considered the size of the Spatial Rifts in both the Marvel Universe and Kabaneri World.
"Go ahead and send it..." Chen Fan wasn't particularly disappointed; the Floating Fortress was still quite good, at least better than his current living environment.
Its speed was also measured at supersonic levels. Compared to the Dragon Car from the other world, it was like comparing a Rolls Royce to a bicycle on Earth—there was simply no comparison.
As for that Abyss Dragon?
If it misbehaved, it would be stewed!
...
To avoid any misunderstandings, Chen Fan emerged from his room into the castle garden, a massive black vortex swirling above his head. At that moment, he commanded attention; no one could tear their gaze away from the dark whirlpool hovering over the boy.
"Chen Fan... what is that?" Peter Parker flew over, curiosity and caution evident in his eyes.
No one knew what the black vortex was. If it harbored any dangerous presence, it wouldn't care about Chen Fan's formidable strength.
"Stay back!" Chen Fan barked, then turned his gaze to the Spatial Rift. He sensed an Iron Train approaching from within and called out to the few bewildered individuals nearby, "Don't worry, my friend is sending something over!"
The changes in the courtyard caught the attention of everyone, both human and non-human. Even a young girl who hadn't left her room for centuries sensed the disturbance and stepped outside, peering through the glass to observe the scene below.
Under the watchful eyes of otherworldly beings, a gust of wind surged from the black vortex, causing the surrounding plants to sway. Soon after, a bizarrely shaped iron serpent emerged from within, its fierce visage on display. Strangely enough, this iron serpent was lifeless; it exuded no signs of life or magical energy.
"A train! This is a train, right?"
The three modern individuals gaped in astonishment, their eyes nearly popping out of their heads. Despite the language barrier, their shock was palpable and shared.
As the Floating Fortress detached from the Spatial Rift, its hundreds of meters of structure floated effortlessly above the garden.
Shock, surprise, confusion—various expressions intertwined before finally settling on the Floating Fortress.
"Alright, I've received it here; I'll contact you again later!" Chen Fan concluded his cross-dimensional communication and hung up.
At that moment, the train suspended in mid-air began to transform, assembling itself into a luxurious villa within a few breaths.
"Lord Chen Fan, what is that?" Emilia exclaimed in astonishment, covering her mouth. She wasn't referring to the Spatial Rift but rather to the strange building hovering a hundred meters off the ground.
It was truly surreal to see a snake transform into a building!
"Is this the Floating Fortress?" Tang's eyes sparkled with excitement. As a wealthy individual, he naturally had access to exclusive channels of information, and he had kept up with the latest luxury items released by Tony.
A train turning into a building that could float—such an obvious feature made it impossible for Tang to be mistaken.
Chen Fan nodded, and at that moment, the grand entrance of the Floating Fortress swung open. A robot made of steel leaped down from within and landed in front of Chen Fan, speaking in its usual lifeless tone.
"Mr. Chen Fan... it's good to see you safe!" the avatar of J.A.R.V.I.S. said.
Each Floating Fortress was currently equipped with an avatar of J.A.R.V.I.S., a privilege reserved for the exclusive and personal versions.
After all, the current Floating Fortress was not merely a display of wealth; it was a true war machine.
It was loaded with various black technological weapons.
For instance, electromagnetic cannons, laser cannons, plasma beams, floating artillery, and more.
The shock brought on by such ultra-modern black technology left everyone in awe for quite some time. It wasn't until Chen Fan's youthful voice broke through their reverie that they were awakened. He tilted his head back and took a deep breath.
"Everyone... would you like to take a tour of the unique architecture in my territory?" Looking at the dark steel body of the Floating Fortress, Chen Fan revealed a smile that had been absent for a long time as he waved his hand, inviting those before him.
