"How magnificent! I never expected such grand architecture on a black hole, much better than the Pyramid in the Earth Museum!" However, doubts crept in; there were indeed highly intelligent beings here, and even if they were Earthlings, it seemed impossible for them to accomplish this. Were they friend or foe?
Yu Tian began to think again; it was his old habit!
After a long while, he finally stopped pondering and took a few steps closer to the Pyramid. Yu Tian was certain there would be an entrance somewhere on it.
He circled around it for nearly half an hour, and finally, on the other side, he spotted what seemed to be an opening at waist height. Without hesitation, he climbed up a stone staircase. At that moment, the numbness faded away, and the pain from his wounds returned. Step by step, he finally reached the entrance.
To Yu Tian, it felt like a scene from a movie. Although the entrance was dark, he could still see faint glimmers of light. He made his way toward the source of light, where an endless staircase awaited him.
He walked and walked, covering a great distance without seeing the end, but he was unwilling to turn back.
After continuing for a while longer, he suddenly found himself at a dead end—only a wall stood before him.
It was still quite bright here, yet he couldn't find the source of the light; it seemed to emanate from the air itself.
The wall was adorned with many murals; much of the content seemed familiar to Yu Tian, but he just couldn't recall where he had seen it before.
Suddenly, a voice echoed from somewhere—speaking in Earth language.
"Who dares to trespass in the Divine Race Forbidden Zone?"
Yu Tian began to look around, trying to discover who had spoken.
But he found nothing. "I am Yu Tian; who are you?" He hesitated to reveal that he was an Earthling, uncertain whether this being was friend or foe.
"Yu Tian? From Earth, right?" Yu Tian's heart raced in shock. Who was this person? How did they know his name?
"Don't be alarmed; I read your memories to know that. That must be our planet, although land and sea have exchanged places."
Yu Tian was even more astonished—current technology shouldn't be able to read memories!
"Who are you? Show yourself!" Yu Tian decided it was better to see what was going on first.
"I'm right beside you; you might not be able to see me."
Yu Tian turned around, but there was truly nothing there.
"You can't be here. Stop messing with me!" Yu Tian still saw no sign of anything.
"You really can't see me. It seems you haven't learned magic yet. I'm actually a memory stored in the Water Crystal."
"Memory? Don't joke with me. What do you want? Let's talk face to face!" This time, he found it truly ridiculous that a memory could speak.
"Don't blame me; it's not difficult if you learn magic."
Magic? Wasn't that a method of harnessing energy he had read about before?
"How do you know about me? To me, I'm just an ordinary person."
"You might be..."
Yu Tian heard the voice pause and pressed on, "Who am I?"
"The heir of the Black Hole God King..."
Yu Tian was stunned. "The heir of the Black Hole God King? That must be quite a title."
"Then you must know my parents!" For some reason, he thought of his parents, though he had no memories of them left.
"Of course, but I can't tell you for now; you haven't regained your memories yet."
His fleeting hope shattered. "You can't even agree to such a small request? I'm leaving."
As Yu Tian turned to walk away, the voice called out, "Wait! Don't you want to know about your parents?"
"Let's talk about this once I've regained my memory," Yu Tian said, not looking back as he walked out.
"In that case, let me see you off," he felt a force surrounding him, rendering him unaware of time and space.
Then there was light, and Yu Tian found himself at the back of the spaceship.
It was truly incredible, but Lin had already stepped out. He walked forward, and just as he approached, Lin noticed him. She was startled at first but quickly masked her surprise.
"Lin, why aren't you in the cockpit? What are you doing out here?" Yu Tian asked as he approached the hatch, causing Lin to stop.
"Captain, why didn't you come back on the ship? I came out because the system reported an unidentified object suddenly appearing," she explained.
"What if something happened to you? You should stay inside the ship where it's safe!" Yu Tian said as he reached her side, looking at her with concern. Lin had always been beautiful, especially now; a hint of blush added to her charm.
"Captain, where's the ship?" Lin shyly turned away from Yu Tian as she spoke.
"Oh, there was a little accident; the ship has turned into a pile of scrap metal. I was lucky to escape!" Yu Tian replied, muttering the last part under his breath.
He noticed Lin's body tremble slightly as she turned to examine him closely. Yu Tian felt embarrassed and hot in the face, unsure if Lin had noticed.
Without saying anything, Lin pulled him along, and Yu Tian followed her into the ship's cabin. Soon they arrived at the Backup Cabin, where Lin retrieved a first aid kit from the storage.
She immediately began skillfully cleaning his wounds. Seeing her anxious expression filled Yu Tian with an inexplicable warmth.
"I'm sorry, Captain. I didn't notice you were hurt sooner," Lin said, her voice tinged with guilt and concern.
"It's nothing; it's my fault for being useless and not piloting the ship properly," Yu Tian replied. Though he said this outwardly, inwardly he cursed that "memory." If it weren't for that, perhaps he wouldn't be in such a predicament now.
Lin's hands were deft; she quickly bandaged his wounds.
"Thank you, Lin!" Yu Tian's heart raced. Now it was just the two of them; it was time to say something. "Lin, actually I..." But for some reason, the words he had prepared eluded him.
Before Yu Tian could continue, footsteps approached from outside—it was Hong returning.
Lin originally looked at my face and then turned away, running outside. Yu Tian also stepped out and, as he entered the corridor, saw Hong Zheng waiting there.
"Hong, have you found anything?" he approached.
"Nothing! Captain, what's wrong with you?" Yu Tian had already reached Hong's side and noticed something strange in his eyes.
"Oh, I discovered a gold..." Yu Tian inadvertently looked up and saw a peculiar glimmer in Hong's gaze, which felt eerie. Yu Tian sensed that Hong must be hiding something from him, unable to reveal the whole truth.
"What gold?" As expected, Hong began to press for more information.
"You must have misheard! I meant the spaceship turned into a pile of scrap metal." Yu Tian realized his story was poorly crafted. However, Hong seemed to sense something and did not pursue the matter further, falling into deep thought.
"Hong, what's wrong?" Yu Tian noticed that Hong's expression was off, knowing he must be concealing something.
"Oh, it's nothing, nothing..." Hong nervously redirected his attention. Yu Tian grew even more suspicious. "Hong, what’s really going on? You seem distracted."
Hong's reaction was no longer intense; he merely stared blankly at Yu Tian for a moment before walking straight toward the cabin.
Yu Tian chose not to press further; perhaps Hong had his own troubles. He also headed toward his room, wondering where Lin had run off to.
Once in the cabin, Yu Tian lay on the bed, contemplating many things. What had Hong encountered? Was it stranger than what he himself had faced? Or had he witnessed something terrifying? After all, he wasn't a god; how could he know everything?
