The scent of blood wafted through the air in the "Blood Demon Swamp."
Meanwhile, Yu Tian was completely unaware aboard his spaceship, still heading towards his target.
Suddenly, the ship shook. Yu Tian noticed that something was pulling the vessel downward.
He immediately activated the propulsion system, but the downward force was too great. Yu Tian pushed the thrusters to maximum power, yet it still couldn't counteract the pull. He unfastened his seatbelt, deciding to abandon the ship.
With a leap, Yu Tian's body shot out from the spacecraft.
Using the Gale Technique, he floated steadily in mid-air.
Looking down, Yu Tian gasped: below him was a pool of red Beast Blood, slowly boiling. Occasionally, a bloodied hand would stretch out from within, but it could only reach a little over a hundred meters before snapping off. The unfortunate spaceship was dragged into the depths by one of those blood hands and then fell eerily silent.
Yu Tian's heart raced with fear; if he hadn't escaped, it would have been disastrous.
"Let’s begin!" Hong Likqi waved his hand in the air, conjuring a purple halo.
Yu Tian didn’t hesitate any longer; he drew a magic wand from his clothing. Channeling magical energy into it, the small hexagram at the wand's tip began to glow brightly, releasing a beam of light resembling a Divine Dragon.
"Little Ru" is a nice name!
He started to communicate with Little Ru, controlling the light beam with his thoughts as it surged forward. At that moment, Little Ru sensed danger and showed no signs of hesitation.
At that moment, the halo grew larger, and a faint purple hue appeared in the surrounding air.
A beam of light surged forward, clashing against the halo in a struggle of energy.
Suddenly, Yu Tian felt a bit of difficulty; he sensed that his energy was starting to falter. However, the Crystal Garment began to frantically absorb the surrounding magical energy, replenishing what had been consumed.
Hexagonal grooves appeared on the purple halo, which began to absorb Yu Tian's magic. He infused more energy into it, causing the beam to swell significantly.
He summoned it forward, and the beam collided with the halo. Yu Tian pulled it to the left, maneuvering around.
Hong Likqi remained calm, swiftly moving the halo to block Yu Tian's magical beam. Just as his halo dimmed, a roar erupted from the Swamp of Death, followed by a massive purple Energy Core surging into his body, quickly replenishing his earlier losses. A smirk crept onto Hong Likqi's face as the once-dim halo suddenly radiated brilliant light, shielding against the impact of the energy beam.
Yu Tian quickly sensed something was off and injected even more energy; the beam flared brightly.
At the same time, Hong Likqi thickened the halo significantly.
Suddenly, silence enveloped the surroundings; the sound of magical energy rubbing against the air had vanished.
Yu Tian felt an unsettling premonition; it was eerily quiet before a storm—he remembered this well.
Finally, energy was released; both the halo and beam shattered, intertwining in chaos. The air filled with numerous purple and blue fragments, visibility plummeting.
Along with this came a tremendous surge of energy that rushed toward Yu Tian. He knew things were dire. Yet there was no escape; he erected a magical wall around himself.
The colossal energy slammed against the wall with a shattering sound. A wave of dizziness washed over him…
The Energy Cloud collided with the Magic Barrier, causing Yu Tian's body to tremble as he quickly infused it with more energy. However, the burden grew heavier, and eventually, Yu Tian's strength was depleted, leaving the Crystal Garment unable to replenish him. Under the energy storm, Yu Tian appeared so small, like a leaf blown away by the wind.
All he could hear was a trembling sound in his ears; he decided to let fate take its course.
Hong Likqi was not much better off; his abilities were insufficient as well. He was knocked back thousands of miles and fell unconscious.
When Yu Tian regained consciousness, his outer clothing had completely vanished, revealing the Blue Crystal Armor underneath. The Crystal Garment radiated a pure blue light, warming Yu Tian's body while replenishing his consumed energy.
Yu Tian pushed himself up and stood, looking around.
The vast marshland had disappeared, leaving the ground scarred and wounded.
Yu Tian soared into the sky, flying up to a height of a thousand meters.
He spotted Hong Likqi lying on the ground. Yu Tian was not fond of ambushes, and he still had not clarified Hong Likqi's true condition. In mid-air, Yu Tian released a Light Barrier and began to meditate within it.
Suddenly, Yu Tian felt a tremor in space and opened his eyes.
Hong. Likqi had flown up at some point, casting a small spell on Blue Barrier to awaken Yu Tian.
Yu Tian stood up again, channeling energy within himself.
"Captain, it seems you're doing quite well! I really underestimated you. Let's have a real competition!" Yu Tian was surprised by Hong. Likqi's words; it seemed he hadn't shown all his strength, and this time it would be a fierce battle.
Noticing Yu Tian lost in thought, Hong. Likqi grew impatient and said, "Captain, hurry up! You wouldn't want Lin to know something, would you?"
Yu Tian snapped back to reality, thinking of Lin Saint Pua. He summoned Little Ru, began to channel his mental energy, and started gathering magical power. The Crystal Garment shimmered with a blue light representing energy, making him look like a celestial being from mythology.
Honk Rikechi was not idle either; he quickly recited incantations and opened his arms as if receiving a baptism.
Purple light and mist gathered around him, forming a small purple storm.
Then, his body slowly became shrouded in mist. Yu Tian caught a glimpse of something within the fog.
The storm subsided, and Hong. Likqi was enveloped in a sphere of purple light. Yu Tian could only vaguely see the smiling face. He suddenly absorbed magical energy and infused it into Little Ru, causing the hexagram's brilliance to multiply. A massive blue dragon began to form within the hexagram, roaring as it surged forth, circling around Yu Tian rapidly.
Seeing that Hong. Likqi showed no intention of attacking first, he controlled the dragon's aura with his mind and sent it flying forward.
Hong. Likqi merely twitched the corner of his mouth and sneered, "Mind Dragon? Hmm, impressive presence. But its power isn't as strong as my father claimed!" Without moving, Hong. Likqi raised his left hand, and a wave of purple clouds surged toward the Mind Dragon.
