In order to rescue Lin, Yu Tian once again ventured alone into Beastman Village, determined to reclaim his beloved. However, he had to accept a challenge from his former teammate, Hong, while his magic staff, Little Ru, boldly decided to face Hong alone. At that moment, it lifted the ancient Dragon Soul Restriction that had bound it for millennia.
Just as Yu Tian was about to conclude that Little Ru was doomed, he noticed Little Ru turning its head towards him, revealing a terrifying grin.
"Big Brother, don't worry about me! Look at your tears!" came the message from Little Ru.
"What? You're happy even after being eaten?" Yu Tian asked in confusion.
"Hehe, Big Brother! Actually, that fool who bit my tail was killed by the formation I set up!" Little Ru replied proudly.
"Then how did you get eaten?" Yu Tian questioned again, bewildered as he watched his brother being devoured by the Serpent.
"This? You'll find out soon enough. Don't underestimate me..." Little Ru cut off the communication, and Yu Tian knew it was preparing for its final attack.
Seeing his mount, the Demon Dragon, consume its opponent whole, Hong did not feel pride; he merely stared indifferently in that direction. He had already neutralized the lightning that had jumped over the wind wall and was now anxiously watching the Electric Dragon that kept dancing around. He understood clearly that he had the upper hand here; even if Yu Tian attempted a sneak attack, he could summon the Demon Dragon to hold it off for a while. Once he eliminated the Electric Dragon, he could engage in a two-on-one battle. Shame? In the demon realm, only the victor mattered, and anything was fair game.
Yu Tian had no intention of joining the fight; in his view, they already had the advantage with Little Ru in a two-on-one situation. If he joined in as well, it would be too one-sided. With this thought in mind, Yu Tian focused on finding a good vantage point to observe the battle. By now, the beasts had scattered far and wide; there were no other creatures within hundreds of miles.
The once peaceful land was now a chaotic mess due to the aftermath of battle; much of the cultivated land was covered in dust from elsewhere. Many rough Stone Houses had been toppled by gusts of wind, and some unfortunate beastmen were blown high into the air and carried far away. Yu Tian's solo venture into Beastman Village had caused significant upheaval throughout the demon realm. Although Hong had chosen a battleground in the main demon area, many key figures from other races were aware of this conflict. Offending the divine race was something many demons feared; their initial decision to join forces against the divine race had been orchestrated under Consort Si's machinations. Almost all demons began to stir restlessly outside Half-Orc Territory. Of course, Lichki and his son remained oblivious to all of this.
Quickly finding a large stone, Yu Tian nimbly leaped onto it. With his head tilted back slightly, he began to observe the unfolding battle.
Using the Demon Dragon's tough hide as cover, Little Ru easily slipped behind Hong. Hong found it strange but couldn't afford to dwell on it; he needed to deal with the rapidly strengthening Electric Dragon. Unbeknownst to him, his original mount was laughing behind him.
"The Demon King's summoning grants me boundless combat power, for darkness, for domination, for the revival of the demon realm! Loyal servants, let us use your strength to clear the thorns on our path! Black Flame Departure Fire!" A surge of energy erupted from the depths of the earth, crashing directly into the Electric Dragon. The flickering sparks finally ceased their silence and became more active, seemingly excited. A massive electric sphere quickly formed and retaliated against the attack rising from the ground.
This guy is impressive; he can actually withstand the Hellfire attack from hell. Hong was somewhat surprised. However, he remained calm as he observed the battle, believing he was still in an absolute position of power, with his mount yet to join the fray. Watching the continuous stream of Hellfire being dismantled by the electric sphere left him feeling uneasy. The thought of his magic ring being devoured by Little Ru only added to his frustration. It was this very frustration that ignited his nerves, causing him to feel inexplicably excited.
"Big Brother, he's been hit!" Little Ru gleefully communicated to Yu Tian. The dragon race not only possessed formidable offensive and healing abilities but also had strong mental powers, making mental control techniques one of their specialties.
Unaware that he was being indirectly controlled, Hong's desire for revenge grew exponentially.
Why not wipe you all out at once? Hong's eyes turned red like blazing flames. Anger and shame caused him to temporarily lose his rationality; it was this momentary lapse that nearly cost him his life.
"Fight! My mount, let your fury consume this messenger of light!" Hong believed he was still in control of his mount, but he was mistaken; his mount had long been controlled by someone else. He was now fighting alone.
Yu Tian raised his head and finally began to see some clues. He thought to himself: This dragon isn't bad; it actually knows how to use strategy. I underestimated it before; it seems it might still be an assistant in my grand revival.
As he pondered this and observed everything around him, it seemed as if the world had faded away. It felt like there was only battle and great undertakings. The original ambitions were overshadowed by familial hatred. What about the happiness he once desired? Yu Tian silently contemplated. Perhaps my life is destined to pass so monotonously; what meaning does it hold? Who decides everything—death or life? Is Lin alright far away? Is home on Earth still peaceful? Is that certain doctor still around? Are my brothers still alive? Perhaps they have all aged; perhaps no one in the galaxy remembers me!
The sky of the demon realm was dim, devoid of any brightness. Perhaps it was because life here existed within a dark societal system! They revered brute force, yet their technology and economy were severely backward. They fought entirely for pride or old grievances or orders from above. They never fought for themselves. Yu Tian suddenly felt a wave of disappointment; all his efforts were solely for rescuing Lin or for those who had passed away. Sigh... A long sigh escaped him like a puff of smoke, drifting far before slowly dissipating.
Leaping down from a stone, he retreated to the edge of the battlefield. Originally, there were many watching beasts here—Half-Orc—but now there wasn't a single one left. They had grown weary; although the process of war was thrilling, they hadn't witnessed any deaths on either side. The excitement they once craved from witnessing death had vanished. Aren't humans just like that?
Death brings excitement but is hoped to be narrowly avoided rather than faced head-on.
Sitting on a pile of shattered stones, Yu Tian felt alive as he gradually shifted his gaze toward the sky.
Little Ru had already counterattacked, leaving Hong in shock. It seemed he had completely collapsed, his mind repeatedly chanting "Father, Father," hoping for Sly to come to his rescue. The Electric Dragon was shrinking under the relentless assault of Hellfire, and Little Ru drew the remaining energy back into his body.
A flash of golden light illuminated the scene.
Hong had closed his eyes, awaiting the judgment of fate.
Finally, he felt a sense of relief.
It was a familiar energy pressure, one that felt comforting.
S. Rikkichi had arrived.
Just as Little Ru was about to swallow Hong whole, a shadow darted in front of the giant mouth, forcefully blocking Little Ru's advance.
This is bad! Yu Tian thought, quickly drifting toward the center of the battle.
"Shut up! Your opponent is me now!"
Little Ru stepped back slightly, staring at the tiny figure before him, feeling an inexplicable fear!
