Yu Tian had eaten most of his meal before he finally took the handkerchief that Lin handed him. He carefully wiped his mouth and hands before straightening the creases in his collar.
Lin took the handkerchief and walked out of the room.
“Lin! If only time could stop at this moment!” he sighed softly as he watched Lin's figure disappear through the door.
“Hey! Big Brother is getting married? Seriously, with a wife, you forget your brothers! I must have misjudged you, Little Ru!” Just as Yu Tian's gaze was fixed on the doorway, Little Ru unexpectedly squeezed in through a window and gave Yu Tian a loud slap on the back.
“Hmm? I thought you were recovering your strength inside me! What happened…” Rubbing his slightly aching head, Yu Tian turned around and grabbed Little Ru.
“Do you think your body smells good? If I stay in there too long, I'll start to stink—”
“What? Do I smell?” Yu Tian immediately interrupted Little Ru, asking indignantly. Yet, he still used his other hand to touch his neck and bring it to his mouth.
“Just kidding! What I meant was: if you keep ignoring me, I'll be stuck in there and start to smell!” Little Ru quickly explained, feeling the pressure from Yu Tian's grip that was starting to bend his staff. He certainly didn't want to ruin the grand plan he had been preparing for so long!
“That's good! From now on, you need to hide well and not let anyone find out; otherwise, I won't be able to explain it!” Yu Tian warned Little Ru. Indeed, if some high-ranking official found out about such a thing, it would surely end up in a secret file for research and might even attract strict scrutiny…
“Got it! Big Brother, now I can maintain my transformation for about half an hour! Look!” Little Ru said excitedly as he began to shake. A flash of golden light erupted. The staff disappeared, and a hand rested on Yu Tian's shoulder.
Yu Tian turned around and was genuinely startled.

"I know! Didn't you just say that?" Little Ru swayed on the soft bed. "This is really comfortable; it seems coming here with you was the right choice!"
Just as Little Ru finished speaking, footsteps were heard coming from the stairs.
"Oh no! Who are you talking to?" Lin's voice made Little Ru tremble.
"Big brother, I have to go! Can't let sister-in-law find out you're the same..." Little Ru chuckled and vanished!
Yu Tian caught Little Ru and absorbed it into his arm.
"It's nothing; I was just talking to myself, praising your choice of clothes," Yu Tian said as he rolled down his sleeves. He then turned around and rushed over to tightly embrace Lin. "Lin—I—love—you—"
His voice wasn't loud but was very clear, leaving Lin stunned. She thought to herself that she had to hold back, but tears still flowed uncontrollably!
Happy tears are not bitter! If you don't believe it, just taste them—
"Finally said it! Oh my, I was worried yesterday that it might just be one-sided. Our love has been so simple! There aren't many memories of chasing and playing; we've only endured hardships together. And today, we're already getting married!" Lin's voice trembled with excitement as she expressed her feelings.

“What are you saying? It sounds like a farewell! You can't say that!” Lin pulled her hand away and hugged Yu Tian, resting her head on his shoulder.
“I’ll only say this once in my life! I won’t say it again, but you need to listen carefully! Holding Lin's hand, Yu Tian rushed toward the basement…
