Holding Lin's small hand, Yu Tian quickly rushed toward the basement. On the small flying vehicle, the two held hands, their hearts beating rhythmically.
After passing identity verification, they entered her office, which Yu Tian preferred to call a laboratory, even though no experiments had ever been conducted there.
He carefully settled Lin into the Co-Pilot Seat and activated the spaceship.
With a whoosh, the spaceship pierced through space, soaring above the Earth and heading straight for outer space.
In stable flight mode, Yu Tian switched to manual control. As he piloted the ship, they soon passed through Earth's gravitational field and entered the cosmos, heading directly toward the Solar System Administration located on Mars. That department was specifically responsible for managing marriage and population, with over a dozen subordinate agencies.
The speed of light made Yu Tian feel incredibly comfortable, and Lin was also very happy. This high-speed journey always blurred the beautiful scenery, making it increasingly enchanting. Yu Tian circled around in space a few times just to give Lin more time to admire the stunning views. Besides driving, he occasionally glanced at Lin, who was protected by a safety capsule. When their eyes met, they couldn't help but smile at each other. At that moment, the spaceship would tremble slightly, prompting Yu Tian to quickly refocus on driving. This made Lin's face bloom with joy.
Not wanting to waste too much time, after enjoying the beauty of space for a while, Yu Tian landed at the port of the Sixth District, which managed marriages. Hand in hand, they walked toward the Marriage Bureau.
As descendants of Earthlings, people bore deep imprints of their ancient ancestors. Time had been unified according to the original tenth time zone, completely eliminating any time difference. What about those living on Earth? Their lives were all within a powerful protective dome that not only shielded them from cosmic rays and harmful particles but also created scenes of night and day. Additionally, since most of the population concentrated in America and Asia, this well-adapted to the movements of the sun and Earth.
To get from the Spaceport to the Marriage Bureau in the Sixth District required passing through several major commercial streets; this place could be considered a commercial center for this residential area! They chose not to take a luxurious public flying vehicle but instead squeezed through the crowd hand in hand.
“Lin! Be careful… that pillar is dirty… there’s some trash on the ground; don’t step on it and fall…” Although they were a bit tired, their tightly clasped hands continuously infused them with strength.
“I know! You just focus on leading the way ahead! I’ll be careful…” Lin replied with a loud laugh.
The people around them cast blessings toward the happy couple, for it is human nature to wish to see happiness—even if one is not happy themselves! Such couples might be seen every day, and not just one pair, but those like them—one from the divine race and the other a saint—are rare.
"Thief! Catch the thief!" Suddenly, a woman's scream pierced through the crowd, followed by the sound of people parting to make way. The thief held an atomic reactor in hand; as long as he aimed the nozzle at an object, the high-speed particles could reduce it to dust.
"Lin! What should we do?" Yu Tian smiled at Lin, who was simply waiting for an answer.
"Alright! You go ahead! I'll be at the... um... Fangzheng Electronic Center waiting for you!" Lin said, leaning in to plant a fragrant kiss on Yu Tian's cheek before bouncing back to the side of the street.
"Wait for me to come back!" With that, Yu Tian quickly vanished into the throng of people, but Lin, standing on a raised platform, could see a path opening and felt relieved.
The crowd here was not just large; while it wasn't exactly shoulder-to-shoulder, shoulders were nearly touching. If someone in front paused even for a moment, they would be trampled.
It was puzzling how people's technology advanced while some awareness remained stagnant. Just like these people who heard "catch the thief," only to clutch their bags and hurry away. Yu Tian's physique was anything but ordinary; countless people were knocked down without having time to dodge. Those who stumbled merely shouted in frustration and retreated uselessly.
"You stop right there! Damn it, doing this right under my nose!" Yu Tian pushed off hard from the ground, leaping onto someone's shoulder and using one shoulder after another as his springboard. He quickly caught up with the robber and shouted:
"Stop running!" He delivered a powerful kick aimed at the thief's head. The chaos around them intensified; just as disorder threatened to erupt fully, Yu Tian yelled:
"Everyone stop!"
"Stop!"
"Stop..." The echoes continued.
The crowd was stunned by his voice; feet that had just begun to move were pulled back as they obediently awaited further instructions. Perhaps they were frightened by Yu Tian's earlier actions! No one wanted to be singled out by that formidable figure and could only comply with his commands.
The thief seemed to be intimidated by Yu Tian's imposing presence. However, having been in the game for so long, he couldn't allow himself to appear weak. He forced a bravado and replied,
"Who do you think you are, calling me that? You have no idea who I am!" It turned out that this thief was a local thug who relied on his uncle working in the government to commit crimes, specifically targeting wealthy women dressed in finery.
"I don't care who you are!" Yu Tian said as the thug dodged his flying kick. "Let me introduce you to my fist!"
With that, Yu Tian flexed his fist and quickly moved in, landing a solid punch right in the thief's chest. The thief let out a muffled grunt and spat out a mouthful of blood-tinged phlegm.
"Damn you! You don't know how tough I am!" The thief aimed a makeshift weapon at Yu Tian. "Today, I'm sending you to the Underworld!"
"Wait! Please let him go!" The owner of the bag—a beautiful woman—rushed over, pushing through the crowd. "I'll give you all the cash inside! Is that alright?"
By now, a crowd had formed into a circle, creating a natural arena for the confrontation. They were fearless; even if hit by high-speed particles, they would sustain serious injuries, but they were more interested in the spectacle.
"Let him go?" The thief clearly felt he had the upper hand. "That's hilarious! Just this little bit of money? You think that's enough to bribe me?" As he said this, he glanced at a small beggar among the crowd, causing the boy to blush and walk away.
"What do you want then?" The lady was anxious but didn't want Yu Tian to get hurt because of her.
"Strip off everything you're wearing—"
